| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C2 - C2 - 305 | MISS COOKA shifted out from the start and checked BOTANY STORY who lost ground and settled at the rear. KEITHY GEE shifted in going to the first corner and checked MS TOURNAMENTAL who lost ground and soon after she made firm contact with the rail and went back checking BOTANY STORY who fell. MS TOURNAMENTAL and BOTANY STORY were examined by the Vet and with MS TOURNAMENTAL being cleared of injury and BOTANY STORY being stood down for 28 days with a hock injury. |
| Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master C2 - C2 - 305 | SEDGEBROOK LEE went up with the box lids and lost ground. IMPERATIVE, DOING THE TIME and QUEEN MOTHER jostled together for several strides when going into the bend and they all lost ground and they finished in the last three places. IMPERATIVE was lame following the race, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with pectoral and tricep muscle injuries. |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron C1/2 - C1/2 - 520 | MORE MODEL and MR.MUTOLA were slow to begin and they settled well back and stayed there to finish in the last two places. |
| Race 4 | Morrie Gibbons Signs C3 - C3 - 305 | OKAYS DE BRITTO was checked soon after the start and she lost three lengths and stayed back to finish last. MISTER WHISKER and LIVING THE DREAM bumped together on the first corner and they both lost a couple of lengths. |
| Race 5 | Mickey's Super Liquor C3 - C3 - 305 | FAST PAUSE drifted back soon after the start and finished several lengths last and she was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with sartorius muscle injuries. MIRAGE ROYALE checked over the heels of PRINCESS SNOWY on the first corner and shifted out onto YALDHURST FLYER and they ran wide on the bend and into the straight covering extra ground and they finished in the last half of the field. |
| Race 6 | Palamountains Nutrition C5 - C5 - 520 | SPEED TICKET and SUMMER SPICE collided soon after the start and settled at the rear. SPEED TICKET recovered to finish in 4th place but SUMMER SPICE stayed back and finished several lengths last. Her galloping action did not seem correct, particularly around the final bend and she was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. |
| Race 7 | Broad Roofing C 5 Sprint Series Final - C5f - 305 | The favourite FIRE HAWK was the slowest to begin and settled at the rear. He then collided with CONFISCATED going to the first corner and almost fell losing four lengths and stayed back to finish in last place. STIFF led approaching the home turn but collided with BEARLY NORMAL and dropped back to finish in 4th place. BEARLY NORMAL then shifted out and forced ROYAL PARDON into the straight over extra ground. |
| Race 8 | Group 2 Wanganui Stayers Final - C2df - 755 | CRISTALLE raced in a handy position until the final bend but then began to tire and drifted back and THRILLING QUEST who was following had to check off the heels of CRISTALLE and lost a little ground. |
| Race 9 | Keenan Concrete C3/4 - C3/4 - 520 | CAUGHT THE EYE checked over the heels of UNION STEAM on the first corner and ran wide into the bend. GUY BAXTER checked over the heels of OPAWA QUEEN entering the back straight and lost four lengths. |
| Race 10 | Media Works C5 - C5 - 305 | MOODY MAN shifted out from the start and caused jostling and checks to GENTLE ATTACK, SEMANYA and DADDY LOWE who all lost ground. BIG GIFT shifted in on the first corner and checked IMA SPICE who dropped back onto JENNINGS. As a result JENNINGS went back and out forcing MOODY MAN and DADDY LOWE wide into the bend and they covered extra ground and finished in the last three places. |
| Race 11 | Wanganui Security C3/4 - C3/4 - 305 | ANOTHER DRIZZLE was slow to begin and he then raced wide covering extra ground on the bend and finished in last place. |
| Race 12 | Crombie Lockwood C3/4 - C3/4 - 305 | CRYSTAL KATIE was slow to begin losing four lengths and she stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. The favourite OPAWA THORN was also a little slow to begin from box 8 and raced a little wide covering extra ground and finished in 4th place. BOTANY ANGELA was handy going to the first corner but was checked losing several lengths and she went back to last and finished in that position. |
