| Race 1 | Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375 | TAKE THE MICK shifted in from the start and checked TILT YOUR GLASS and GIRLY DREAMZ with GIRLY DREAMZ being the most affected and she went back to last. TAKE THE MICK continued to shift in and checked BOILED LOLLIES and TILT YOUR GLASS and they lost all chance and finished at the rear. GIRLY DREAMZ was also affected in the incident and was forced to race wide on the bend covering extra ground. HOMEBUSH EDDIE and TAKE THE MICK brushed together in the home straight and lost a little momentum. |
| Race 2 | Woodville Sprint C1 - C1 - 375 | HOMEBUSH ALEX was awkwardly placed between runners on the first corner and lost ground. He then drifted off the back of the field and finished five lengths last and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a pectoral muscle injury. THRILLING HALO was slow to begin and then covered extra ground by racing wide on the bend and she finished in 6th place. |
| Race 3 | Cloverlea Stakes C1 - C1 - 457 | MCKONE shifted in on the first corner and checked RONAN MACHALL who lost four lengths but did make up some ground to finish in 5th place. |
| Race 4 | Peter Sinclair C1 - C1 - 375 | BOND ECLIPSE was slow to begin losing two lengths and she stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. CAWBOURNE SMUDGE shifted out going to the first corner and checked NEW DESIRE who lost ground and went back to the rear and stayed there to the finish. |
| Race 5 | Sparky's Bar and Restaurant C2 - C2 - 375 | CAWBOURNE TINA shifted out going to the first corner and checked DON'T KNOCK ME, FLOATING AWAY and OKAY'S DERMOTOFF who all lost ground. DON'T KNOCK ME and FLOATING AWAY recovered to finish in 2nd and 3rd places but OKAY'S DERMOTOFF stayed back to finish in last place. |
| Race 6 | Group 2 North Island Challenge Stakes Final C5 - C5f - 457 | The favourite LITTLE MOTHER began well to be handy going to the first corner but then shifted out and collided with KNOW SPUNK and drifted back to last. She then clipped the heels of BIRCHGROVE BILLY and almost fell and finished in last place. Prior to shifting out it was observed that LITTLE MOTHER had appeared to be unbalanced and this may have been attributable to the strong wind which the dogs were racing into LITTLE MOTHER was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury Trainers representative B.Cole was questioned into the improved run of the winner THREE INCH NAIL who had finished last of 6 runners on 18.11.2011 at Wanganui. He stated that the dog had suffered from cramp in that race which resulted in a below expectation performance and the Vet report from Wanganui confirmed THREE INCH NAIL had suffered from cramp that day. |
| Race 7 | Marton Dash C5 - C5 - 375 | FREDA'S ANGEL was the slowest to begin and she stayed back to finish in 6th place. SEMENYA was checked on the first corner losing ground but ran on to finish in 4th place. SEMENYA was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with a laceration to a foreleg which required suturing. |
| Race 8 | NZRS Graduation Final - NZRSf - 457 | KANGO KLINK shifted in from the start and checked HOMEBUSH EDITH and THRILLING CHILL who both lost ground. THRILLING CHILL, HOMEBUSH EDITH and MICK MANIA all lost ground on the bend when all three had to check off heels and they finished in the last three places. |
| Race 9 | Foxton Sprint C2/3 - C2/3 - 375 | VISUAL ILLUSION was the slowest to begin but he made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. LOOKS DECIEVING was forced to race wide throughout after starting from box 8 and finished in the rear group. |
| Race 10 | www.racingdogs.co.nz C4 - C4 - 375 | JUST DEFY THAT began awkwardly losing ground and then raced wide covering extra ground on the bend but kept up a strong run to finish in 3rd place. VINTAGE LACE was slow to begin losing three lengths but also made up ground well to finish in 4th place. |
| Race 11 | Hokowhitu Stakes C5 - C5 - 457 | REGAL DANCER and COLLISION RISK were checked and went back to the rear and finished in the ladst two places. COLLISION RISK and NIP TUCK both raced wide on the bend and into the straight covering extra ground. |
| Race 12 | Pahiatua Stakes C3/4 - C3/4 - 457 | SIDESHOW BOB shifted in from the start and checked JAG YOU ARE and UPAHUT CINDY and he continued to shift in and a few strides later checked KNOW PERIL and UPAHUT CINDY wh o both lost ground and went back to the rear. WANDY KYLE was checked on the first corner losing three lengths and all chance. |
