On the home turn OKUKU LILLY (6) was tightened and ran outwards coming together with BUT IT'S GREAT (5) for a stride. |

| Race 5 | Kolorful Kanvas Dash - C4 - 295 | The favourite KNOW THOUGHT (1) was a shade slow from the inside. Into the bend PICK THE TIP (7) and CAWBOURNE DUSTY (8) both angled inwards with JUST A MATE (9), KNOW TRUST (3), THEOKOLES (2) and KNOW THOUGHT all being hampered and losing ground. On the home turn CAWBOURNE DUSTY continued to shift down the track checking THEOKOLES on his inside. When questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner HOMEBUSH HELEN (4) the connections advised that a downgrade and the ability to get to her preferred rail position were factors. |
| Race 6 | David Emerson Consultancy Feature - C2 - 520 | PINDARI (1) ran outwards in the initial stages checking OPAWA MARG (2) and RED TYPHOON (4) who both lost ground. Wider out BARNABY BALE (6) ran inwards shifting OPAWA ALBIE (5) down the track for a few strides. |
| Race 7 | Sky High Scaffolding Stakes - C3/4 - 520 | TAKE NO PRISONER (2) was inclined to run outwards in the early stages checking OPAWA SWEDE (7). HOMEBUSH IRIS (4) ran inwards in the run to the first bend tightening JINJA POWER (3) who lost ground. OPAWA SWEDE checked off the back of TAKE NO PRISONER and lost momentum. On the home turn FINN MCMISSILE (6) was badly dragged down by OPAWA SWEDE losing all chance. |
| Race 8 | I Pave Concrete Stakes - C5 - 520 | In a very straggly start KNOW CLASS (4), FIZZLE BALE (9), MOULIN BLUE (5) and BRIGHTON BULLET (8) were all slow to leave the traps. JINJARANGO (1) was badly tightened into the first bend and dropped to a rearward position. MOULIN BLUE was forced wide around the first bend. JINJARANGO checked off the back of HOMEBUSH CHOPPER (2) at the end of the back straight and lost momentum with FIZZLE BALE also inconvenienced at this stage. On the home turn MOULIN BLUE ran inwards checking FIZZLE BALE when these runners were at the rear. |
| Race 9 | 2013 Robbie's Bar & Bistro New Zealand Oaks - R/Af - 520 | SMASH AMY (3) and CAWBOURNE REEAH (7) were the last to jump. VICTORIOUS GEM (5) shifted outwards marginally into the first bend checking POPSTAR ROCKET (6) who lost ground. Soon after VICTORIOUS GEM ran inwards checking FANCY DASHER (2) who was forced to change ground losing ground in the process. |
