Race Number	Race Name	Incident Report
Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C2 - C2 - 305	OPAWA GIFT went up with the box lids and lost two lengths as a result. COLD TURKEY and REBEL JOE jostled together for several strides racing to the first corner and as a result, they both lost ground.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C2 - C2 - 520	OPEHU TIGER shifted out from the start and bumped with FERGIE'S BELLE which in turn bumped with CHECK THE MAIL which had been slow to begin and they both lost momentum. CHECK THE MAIL recovered well to make up ground and win the race. WHATS UP GEE and RICH LIST came together in the back straight and bumped with RICH LIST lost two lengths. CHECK THE MAIL shifted in on the home turn and bumped DOLL PARTS which was then also bumped by WHAT'S UP GEE and then galloped on by I'M A CATCH and went back several places and finished in 6th place.
Race 3	J P Print (Petone) C3 - C3 - 305	AGENT JORGE began very awkwardly losing four lengths and he stayed back throughout the race and finished in last place.
Race 4	Morrie Gibbons Signs C3 - C3 - 305	HOMEBUSH COCO, SHAGA BANGA BANG and RADIATOR SPRINGS were the slowest to begin and settled back. SHE'S TOP NOTCH shifted in going into the bend causing checks to BELKARA and SHAGA BANGA BANG which both went back with resultant checks to HOMEBUSH COCO and RADIATOR SPRINGS . BLACK MERCEDES was also slightly hampered in the incident. BELKARA shifted in on the bend and checked SHAGA BANGA BANG which lost three lengths and he never recovered the lost ground.
Race 5	Palamountains Scientific Nutrition C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	UPAHUT CINDY and STAY YOUNG jostled together for a short distance soon after the start and UPAHUT CINDY went back to the rear. She then appeared to be very awkward in her galloping action and drifted back to finish a distance behind the other runners and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a gracilus muscle injury. STAY YOUNG checked off the heels of BOTANY DAVE and shifted out going into the first bend and checked THANKS CHARLIE which was forced wide over extra ground.
Race 6	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	EVER SO HOPEFUL escaped briefly prior to stirrups but was quickly captured, examined and cleared to race by the Vet. ENGLISH HONEY, ATTIRE and ALMOST GOT IT were slow to begin and settled back. STARBURST BLANCH was checked back to last on the bend and finished in that position. The first two placegetters ROSEMORE OSTI and STIFF DRINK bumped together in the home straight but retained their respective positions to the finish of the race.
Race 7	Wanganui Security C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	LYNNY SOUTHCOMBE and GO FERN GO bumped together for some distance going to the first corner and then GO FERN GO shifted out going into the bend and checked LYNNY SOUTHCOMBE which went back to last and she finished in that position
Race 8	The Naki Boys Syndicate C4 - C4 - 520	One of the favourites BOSTON CHANEL was slow to begin and settled back and she was on a forward move entering the back straight when she was checked losing several lengths and all chance of a first four placing.
Race 9	Brad Canty Dash For Cash Final C5 - C5f - 305	General crowding going to the first corner which occurred when runners drawn wide on the track shifted in, resulted in checks to LEADFOOT LENNY and NEED TO CHILL which both lost two lengths. A short distance further on, the three leaders FIERY DANCER, ALLEGRO STAR and WILD PUNTING came together, were checked and lost four lengths.
Race 10	www.racingdogs.co.nz Spion Rose Final C5 - C5f - 520	LAUGH LIKE SANTA was slow to begin and settled back. INDI RHODE was checked and lost ground entering the back straight.
Race 11	The Rock 95.2FM C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	YA LAUGHIN was slow to begin losing three lengths and he stayed back throughout to finish in last place. HOWLIN WIND shifted in abruptly from the start and hampered MISS FOXY MINX, FIERCE STAR and ARMED FORCES which all settled back. MISS FOXY MINX recovered the best of those affected and she finished in 2nd place.
Race 12	Inter-Islander Summer Festival Monday 30th December C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	BEE RABBIT, SIR RICHIE and SUPERIOR IZMIR jostled together for some distance in the back straight and they all lost ground back to the rear. SUPERIOR IZMIR recovered the best of the three and he made up ground to finish in 2nd place.
