Judicial report: Weather: Fine Race 14. The handler of Gilbert Bale ( J.Pomeroy) was reminded of the parade procedure requirements.
Race meeting held at Waikato GRC on 06.08.04 when an inquiry was opened into the non-scratching or presentation of the greyhound India ( S.M.Wright ) in race 2. Further information was presented to the Club Judicial Steward , Mr A.Booth, by the Trainer, and NZGRA Stipendiary Steward / Field Officer, Mr G Bennett. The decision of the Judicial Steward was to endorse the original penalty of 30 days stand down, up to and including 04.09.04 under Rule 257.1.

Race 1	RODEWALD HART BROWN DASH - HEAT 1 - C1q - 375 Heat 1	Monsieur Jon began awkwardly, then tightened, recovered well to finish 2nd. Paddle Foot began well, drifted after 40 mtrs, always near rear after. Dr Adonis was checked after 30 mtrs and never improved. NIL NIL
Race 2	CAMBRIDGE MAIDEN - HEAT 1 - C0q - 457 Heat 1	Spend The Penny was slow out then wide and battled on to finish 6th. Winsome Tiger raced handy, faltered on final turn, collapsed after winning post and sent for veterinary check. NIL Winsome Tiger ( W.T.Hodgson ). Post race veterinary check revealed severe cramp in back legs causing distress and shock. Rule 329. 7 days up to and including 01.09.04.
Race 3	RODEWALD HART BROWN DASH - HEAT 2 - C1q - 375 Heat 1	Golden Lobo was very wide throughout finishing last. NIL NIL
Race 4	MAIDEN DASH - C0 - 375	Eyes Ben was a scratching. Sun Gai was always at rear and never improved. Eyes Ben ( W.Morris ) Sore mid thoracic back requiring manipulation. Greyhound was presented and stood down under Rule 259 for 3 days to and including 27.08.04. NIL
Race 5	CAMBRIDGE MAIDEN - HEAT 2 - C0q - 457 Heat 1	Trendy Time was slow out, improved, then tightened between Hello Sailor and Galactic Sam on first bend but ran on well for 4th. Pitter Patter drifted after start, always at rear after. NIL NIL
Race 6	RODEWALD HART BROWN DASH - HEAT 3 - C1q - 375 Heat 1	Funny Feeling drifted first bend and never recovered to finish 7th. Miss Tibet ran very wide on home turn, lost ground to finish last. Don Paulie was tightened slightly after the start, rails run, fought on well for 4th. NIL NIL
Race 7	RODEWALD HART BROWN DASH - HEAT 4 - C1q - 375 Heat 1	Ardishah came across quickly after start checking Jumbo Flash and in turn causing Johnny Tulloch to become unbalanced which recovered very well to win. NIL NIL
Race 8	SOME JOE STAKES - C1 - 457	Stallone was slow then checked after 30 mtrs and wide thereafter finishing 7th. NIL NIL
Race 9	THE CLUB HOUSE CAFE & BAR DASH - C2 - 375	Dictation was slow out , rails run, ran on strongly for 2nd. NIL NIL
Race 10	GREENLANE TAB STAKES - C1/2d - 630	White Token began well, couldn't keep up and drifted to long last. A veterinary inspection was ordered due to this greyhounds poor performance. NIL NIL
Race 11	McGINTYS TURF BAR HUNTLY - C3 - 375	Wolf Girl Jess missed the start by a length ,showed speed to race up to midfield and finished on strongly for 2nd.Mr Bell began well, drifted quickly, then wide and never in contention finishing last.The trainer D.Schofield was questioned regarding the performance of this greyhound. NIL NIL
Race 12	RASMAH REASON STAKES - C2 - 457	Awesome Enforcer was slow out then checked first bend and ran on strongly along rail for 3rd. Thrilling Duke was very wide throughout and ran on well for 4th. Wild Gunnadoo was handy early then drifted to last. NIL NIL
Race 13	ANGUS WRIGHT MEMORIAL INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE - INV - 457	Speed Twin began quickly to lead, faltered bend and came back on Idol Appeal with neither in contention after. Speed Twin was ordered to undergo a veterinary inspection.Ozzie Rhode was slow out then commenced strong rails run to finish 3rd. The lure was pushed for some distance around the track by the runners after the end of the race. NIL Speed Twin ( A.C. Roberts ). Post race veterinary inspection revealed a serious hock fracture. Rule 329. 30 days up to and including 24.09.04.
Race 14	RODEWALD HART BROWN RACEWAY SPRINT - C5 - 375	Nicholas Bale was slow out, received rails run and fought on for 3rd. Spotted Hand was tightened between Gilbert Bale and Shar Nazir with Shar Nazir then clipping the heels of Blue Paragon which almost fell and lost its chance finishing 6th.Spotted Hand also ran out later in the race checking Shar Nazir with both finishing at the rear. NIL NIL
Race 15	GENERAL ENGRAVERS 2003 LTD STAKES - C3 - 457	Choppers Hand the favourite was always at the rear and never improved which resulted in a veterinary inspection being ordered due to poor performance. World Priority, Yallah Ebony and Fantasy Shifter came together on entering the straight when Fantasy shifter ran out slightly. Parra Power ran very wide on final turn , losing ground but rallied well to finish 2nd. NIL NIL
Race 16	ALPHA & STAR HOTELS KIHIKIHI STAKES - C4 - 457	Dr Bertram was slow out and always at rear after. Stock Broker began well then drifted throughout to finish a distant last. Bingo Appeal was tightened by Bibiana Bale and Romberg Reason on the first bend and never threatened after finishing 6th. NIL NIL
Race 17	WAYNES HAMILTON EAST TAB STAKES - C5 - 457	Pelican Creek was checked when Winsome Guy came off the rail on the first bend also forcing Lady Leah wide. NIL NIL
