Race 1	GOMMANS CONCRETE SERVICE - C2/3 - 505	GAZZA'S JEWEL was scratched due to injury. AMANDA CHOICE was checked back to last on the last bend and finished in that position. GAZZA'S JEWEL P.Freeman Rule 64 Suffering from some abrasions and was stood down for 10 days to and including 10.03.06.
Race 2	KEEGAN CONTRACTORS - C1 - 297	BOY RACER and NARARA PARADE were the slowest away and BOY RACER then raced onto the heels of other runners on the first turn. They eventually finished in the last two places.
Race 3	NZ RACING SERIES REST. HEATS - RESq - 505 Heat 1	All clear.
Race 4	NZ RACING SERIES REST. HEATS - RESq - 505 Heat 1	LIKA CRUISE was slow to begin and this ruined its chance of a placing. ASTRAKHAN, BEST TELL PIE and OUR FREDDIE jostled together for a few strides soon after the start. OUR FREDDIE then checked off the heels of EARL MCROBERTS on the first corner and collided with BEST TELL PIE.
Race 5	WEEKEND CRAFTS - C1 - 505	UNRUFFLED was scratched due to injury. Tightening on the first turn resulted in checks to ASTROS LUCK, JEWEL, LATASHA and ARANUI GOLD and they settled at the rear and apart from LATASHA who finished 4th, the others filled the last three places. ASTROS LUCK was a long last and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a toe injury. UNRUFFLED O.Marron Rule 64 Suffering from a toe injury and was presented and stood down for 7 days to and including 06.03.06 ASTROS LUCK M.Mete-Kingi Rule 82 Suffered a toe injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 11.03.06
Race 6	NZ RACING SERIES RESD HEATS - RESq - 505 Heat 1	FRANNY HALL was checked on the first bend and went back to last and stayed there. MISS TONSBERG was lame after the race, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a serious toe injury. MISS TONSBERG D.Mathews Rule 82 Suffered a toe injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 29.03.06. ( Papers not updated )
Race 7	NORTH ISLAND CHAMPS FINAL - C5f - 505	MANAWA NUI moved out on the first corner and checked STAUNCH who went back to last place and lost all chance of a placing.
Race 8	PRINCE ZIDANE STAKES - C1/2 - 297	MCTAGGART collided with the back of SAILAH JAYNE on the home turn causing that runner to lose momentum for a couple of strides and possibly affected its chance of a closer placing than 4th. BUSTER KEATON, SHEEZA CORKA and EXODUS collided in the race to the first turn and lost a little ground. SHEEZA CORKA suffered from bruising to a toe and was stood down for 7 days. SHEEZA CORKA M.Mete-Kingi Rule 82 Suffered bruising to a toe and stood down for 7 days to and including 08.03.06.
Race 9	BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C4/5 - 297	CRUZMORE, MISTER JAYBEE and PHAEDRA were checked and lost ground on the first corner. CRUZMORE recovered to finish in 3rd place.
Race 10	CLOVERLEA TAVERN - C3 - 297	YALLAH ROSE was scratched due to injury. MR GULLIVER was handy to the first corner but was checked and lost all chance of a placing. YALLAH ROSE M.Beeson Rule 64 Suffering from a gracilus muscle injury and was presented and stood down for 7 days to and including 06.03.06.
