Judicial report: Weather: Overcast Trainer JF Allen was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when SO BIG weighed in 1.2kgs under his last race weight.

Race 1	WHISKAS DRY VITABITES SPRINT - C2 - 295	EXPANDED exploded out of the boxes and was never in danger of being caught. The favourite ROVING LIGHT was tightened into the first bend and lost ground with HOMEBUSH OPAL copping the backwash as she drifted. These dogs were the last two home.
Race 2	SCHMACKOS DOG TREATS SPRINT - C2/3 - 295	POWERFAST PATCH ran outwards after the jump tightening COCONUT ICE both losing ground. Their outward movement forced SHIFNAL CHIEF wide on the track. REGIMENT JEWEL drifted to the rear after jumping. He finished at the rear with other other three. A post race veterinary check revealed a torn left fore toenail with a fourteen day stand down recommended. REGIMENT JEWEL (JH Cleary) left fore toe nail torn. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 29 June 2006.
Race 3	CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK STAKES - C2/3 - 520	THRILLING MELODY ran wide free of interference in the back straight losing a few lengths. She rejoined the field but weakened out to finish seventh.
Race 4	BARRIE GURDLER SAND SUPPLIES SPRINT - C2/3 - 295	HOMEBUSH RYAN and HEART OF PROMISE were checked into the first bend losing ground and finishing at the rear. WHATA TOWN (BC Dann) laceration to off fore foot. Rule 64.14. 28 days up to and including 12 July 2006.
Race 5	PEDIGREE MEATY BITES STAKES - C2/3 - 520	NIRIMBA ASSASSIN tailed off soon after the start and remained a long last throughout. A post race veterinary check revealed a cut right hind webbing with a seven day stand down recommended. NIRIMBA ASSASSIN (JT McInerney) right hind cut webb. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 22 June 2006.
Race 6	GARDEN CITY CLASSIC HEAT 1 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 1	SO BIG was slow to clear the boxes settling a clear last. LIPSLIDE ran inwards on the first bend checking DANCING HARRY causing that dog to lose ground. TOMAHAWK DOWN was checked shortly after the first bend and remained at the rear throughout. THRILLING KIM (AC Roberts) entered in error by NZGRA. No penalty.
Race 7	BARRONS SUPPLIES SPRINT - C5 - 295	HOMEBUSH BELLA was slow to leave the outside box. Favourite RUDI JEWEL went down on its nose when racing in tight quarters out of the first bend. It continued to find trouble throughout the race before finishing on for its fifth placing. Second favourite PAPPILONG was also severely checked in the original incident and never recovered finishing last. FASHION THIEF (J&D Fahey) right groin pain. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 21 June 2006.
Race 8	2006 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE SOUTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL - C5 - 520	ACCORD, MICKI and FREDDY MAGIC were badly checked around the first bend losing all chance. They filled the last three placings.
Race 9	CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP SPRINT - C5 - 295	YENDY'S TITLE ran out on the first bend tightening GLADYS FRIDAY and WHATA BUY. GLADYS FRIDAY faltered at that point and dropped out to a long last. A post race veterinary check revealed a torn left gracilus with a twenty-eight day stand down recommended. GLADY'S FRIDAY (JT McInerney) torn left gracilus. Rule 82.1. 28 days up to and including 13 July 2006.
Race 10	GARDEN CITY CLASSIC - HEAT 2 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 1	NIGHT RAID fell at the first bend when coming in contact with MCCRACKENS BOY. He took no further part in the race. A post race veterinary check revealed a fracture of the right foreleg with NIGHT RAID euthanased on humane grounds. NIGHT RAID (GA Cleeve) euthanased on humane grounds.
Race 11	PEDIGREE PUPPY STAKES - C4/5 - 520	ORPHAN ASSASSIN was slow to jump settling well back. Into the first bend TOKENISM and WINSOME GEM came together losing ground. Both finished midfield. Across the top STACEY ALLEN and ORPHAN ASSASSIN came together with ORPHAN ASSASSIN drifting out to finish near the rear. STACEY ALLEN ran on for third.
Race 12	BACK HERE SUNDAY 25 JUNE SPRINT - C4 - 295	ICONIC LADY was tightened soon after the jump settling last and never improving.
