Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE DASH - C5 - 295 CEEJAY'S MAGIC crossed quickly from the outside box and in doing so caused checks to HOMEBUSH FITZY, FARMOR BLISS and MISSING FERN. These dogs never recovered and finished well back. DELS DELIGHT (HG Cairns) lacerations to fore toes. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 5 August 2006. FOUR WAY DOLL (MM Grant) laceration to left hind. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 3 August 2006. JUST ROCKIN (J McInerney Jnr) starter in Race 10.
Race 2 CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK STAKES - C4 - 520 WESTERN SPARK and TOKENISM were tightened into the first bend settling at the rear never improving with TOKENISM finishing a distant last. A post race veterinary check revealed a torn right gracilus with a fourteen day stand down recommended. LIGHT POCKETS (GA Cleeve) stood down at Christchurch GRC on 26 July 2006. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 1 August 2006 TOKENISM (JF Allen) torn right gracilus. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 10 August 2006.
Race 3 GARDEN CITY CHEM DRY SPRINT - C4 - 295 COCUNUT ICE ran outwards after the jump checking PROSPERO and HOMEBUSH OPAL. Into the bend PAREORA ANGEL was checked coming back on HOMEBUSH OPAL. These two finished at the rear.
Race 4 CONTAINERMAN STAKES - C3 - 520 The favourite TE PIRITA TIGER drove to the lead into the first bend leading all the way to win well. THRILLING KIM (AC Roberts) infection of left dew claw. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 3 August 2006. HOMEBUSH TERRA (JT McInerney) was a late scratching at kennelling when found with a split left hind webb. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 14 days up to and including 10 August 2006.
Race 5 BILLS BAR & BISTRO DASH - C3 - 295 The favourite FOUL PLAY was tightened between dogs soon after the jump settling last. Into the bend SHIFNAL CHIEF checked out off HOMEBUSH TRUMP running wide and taking LIPSLIDE SKINNY and CLAN JAYDEE with him. They filled the last three placings. FOUL PLAY ran on strongly in the straight for third.
Race 6 FLAIR PROGRESSIVE FINAL - C2f - 520 Into the back straight the winner SMART THOMAS improved inside BLACK SAUCE who was forced outwards coming in contact with OPAWA STATE. At the end of the back straight MULBERRY TRUMP tightened BLACK SAUCE who checked outwards taking GATLIN GHETTO wide. They all finished at the rear. DANCING HARRY (J&D Fahey) stood down at Christchurch GRC meeting on 26 August 2006. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 1 August 2006.
Race 7 CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP SPRINT - C4 - 295 ELLA LEE was slow to jump settling at the rear before running on well for third. WEE SWEETIE drifted to the rear soon after the jump running wide around the bend losing ground to finish last.
Race 8 CENTURY FOUNDATION NZ ST LEGER FINAL - R/Af - 520 Soon after the jump THRILLING LAURA, THRILLING JANE and THRILLING PEARL were tightened by GREATWHITE losing all chance settling at the rear. THRILLING LAURA ran on late for fourth with the other two near the rear. Across the top GREATWHITE was squeezed between LOMU FLEX and kennelmate WINSOME SECRET as she drove three wide to the lead. Into the straight a retreating GREATWHITE was again checked by an improving CECILIA HENRY who ran home well for third. GREATWHITE finished last and was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss. THRILLING FAITH (K Walsh) left hock sprain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 6 August 2006.
Race 9 GREYHOUND RACING TUESDAY'S FROM 1 AUGUST STAKES - C5 - 520 Soon after the jump CLASSIC FLYER tightened BRILLIANT HAND and HOMEBUSH THORN, both settling at the rear. Into the back straight TOMMY LEE WHISKY ran outwards colliding with WHISKY LODGE LAD and TIMELY FLIRT. TIMELY FLIRT ran inwards soon after into the line of WAXEYE who sustained a severe check with a resultant check to HOMEBUSH THORN and HOMEBUSH GABBY. WHISKY LODGE LAD recovered well to win the racewith TOMMY LEE WHISKY second. The remainder finished at the rear. HOMEBUSH BRADLEY (JT McInerney) diarrhoea. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 31 July 2006.
Race 10 BACK HERE SUNDAY DASH - C5 - 295 EXPANDED was tightened into the bend coming back on BONNIE BLINK, KOLA'S WEAPON and LOCHINVAR RHETT. KOLA'S WEAPON ran on late for third with the others finishing at the rear. JACK WEBBER (A Joyce) left hock sprain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 9 August 2006. CECILIA HENRY (JT McInerney) starter in Race 8. CLAN ONYX (HG Cairns) starter in Race 1.
