Race 1 GARRARD'S HORSE & HOUND PUKEKOHE SPRINT - C0 - 318 MYREEN and WINSOME DELUXE came together into the bend and dropped to the rear where they stayed. GREG SMURFEE (PW Cleaver) deltoid muscle injury. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 7 August 2008.
Race 2 TROPHIES PLUS SPRINT - C3 - 318 DREAM ON CYRUS ran outwards into the bend taking YOUNG VALIANT, DREAM A WIN and MOHICAN HARRY wider with these dogs all losing ground.
Race 3 THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL 6 PACK - C2/3 - 527 Tightening on the first bend resulted in KEEP YA COOL receiving a check on the outside of the field losing some ground. FERVID was also squeezed for room soon after this and was chopped back to the rear. At the end of the back straight SUB THIRTY was checked when attempting a gap on the inside of THRILLING NEO and lost momentum. SUB THIRTY recovered to run third.
Race 4 GREYHOUNDS NORTH DISTANCE HEAT - C0dq - 603 Heat 1 ULTRA MAGNUS cannoned off AUSSIE OPAWA at the jump and lost ground. THRILLING LUCY and PERSUASION came together on the second bend when well back.
Race 5 CAROL'S TABS SPRINT - C5 - 318 BRIGHT CONQUEST was keen to get to the rail and forced COWBOY JAKE and CAWBOURNE JAMES inwards in the process. DEVIL'S COUNTY ran very wide at this stage of the race. On the home turn BIG PA was checked as BRIGHT CONQUEST again cut to the rail and lost some ground.
Race 6 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS SPRINT - C1 - 318 SEXY GIRL SUTTON checked off the hindquarters of kennelmate HOMEBUSH KING into the bend and dropped to the rear.
Race 7 JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS SPRINT - C4 - 318 BIGTIME NEV was checked as kennelmate ARATAKI crossed it sharply into the bend. BIGTIME NEV lost ground as a result and finished well back. FORWARD SOLUTION ran outwards attempting to avoid the checked runner and pushed SYDENHAM SMITH and CLEAR CONQUEST over extra ground.
Race 8 NZ SIRES PRODUCE STAKES FINAL - R/Af - 527 SHEA SHERIE and KNOW WHEN came together for a stride at the jump. HOMEBUSH JENNA ran straight to the rail dictating the line of CRAFTY FLYNN and WILL SHE ECHO on her inner although no contact was made. WILL SHE ECHO was badly held up across the top behind the weakening HOMEBUSH JENNA. When clear WILL SHE ECHO ran on well for third.
Race 9 THE BROWNZY'S RELAUNCH PARTY - C4/5 - 527 This race was delayed by three minutes due to the delay of a harness race at Addington. ROMAN LEADER and SUPREME BASH were both slow to jump. SUPREME BASH made ground late for fifth.
Race 10 $40,000 PICK 6 SUNDAY - C2 - 318 CATCHWORD, NICE CHOICE and THRILLING ELROY came together soon after the jump settling well back. BIGTIME LEGEND (GR Farrell) puncture wound to left hind toe. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 3 days up to and including 1 August 2008.
