Judicial report: Weather: Fine and cold The hearing under Rule 69.11 against trainer GA CLEEVE and his dog KNOW GLORY, adjourned on 7 July 2009 was reconvened. He pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $100.00.

Race 1 HAMPDEN TAVERN DASH - C4 - 295 HISTORICAL was slow from the inside box. FIVE ACROSS drifted to last soon after the start finishing a long last. Into the bend ROCKA HULA and NITRO PEGGY were tightened losing ground before ROCKA HULA collided with SUPER JAZZ. FIVE ACROSS was subject to a veterinary check which revealed right hip pain with a 10 day stand down recommended. KNOW BETTER struck the lure at the pull up and fell. A veterinary check revealed no injury. SAIGON LORD (MM Grant) right triceps strain. Dog presented. Veteriunary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 14 July 2009. FIVE ACROSS (SR Fagan) right hip pain. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 18 July 2009.
Race 2 HURUNUI HOTEL SPRINT - C5 - 295 TONY KNOWS ran out after the jump checking STRAIGHT OFF and LIAM BALE. KNOW DESIRE and LES BAXTER came together into the bend. Soon after TONY KNOWS collided with LES BAXTER.
Race 3 EXCELSIOR HOTEL STAKES - C3 - 520 OPAWA SECRET ran in after jumping colliding with CHARLIE STUBBS. Into the first bend MIDNIGHT ANNIE tightened KEEP YA COOL as she drove to the lead with MIDNIGHT ANNIE moving outwards checking LOCHINVAR VUITON and CHARLIE STUBBS. KEEP YA COOL drifted to last and was subject to a veterinary check with no injury found. FIRENZO BALE (AC Roberts) was a late scratching at kennelling with a right fore flexor tendon sprain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 28 days up to and including 5 August 2009.
Race 4 WWW.DUVAUCHELLEHOTELMOTEL.CO.NZ STAKES - C5 - 520 CRAFTY CLEEVE was slow to jump. APPOINTED THYME who finished 2nd was knocked down and trampled at the finish. A veterinary check revealed a cut to the mouth with no stand down recommended.
Race 5 COASTER'S TAVERN SPRINT - C4 - 295 KNOW GOOD, MULBERRY RECO and JILL BAXTER were tightened into the bend.
Race 6 O'SHEAS PUBLIC HOUSE DISTANCE - C2d - 645 BULLISH MEGASTAR was checked soon after the jump.
Race 7 PUBLICANS CUP - C2 - 520 BOTANY JIM was tightened soon after the jump. GET OUT THERE was checked when trying to cross GENISTA ROCKET to take the lead around the first bend. GET OUT THERE was subject to a veterinary check which revealed right hock pain on flexion with a 21 day stand down recommended. GET OUT THERE (MJ Flipp) right hock pain. Rule 82.1. 21 days up to and including 29 July 2009.
Race 8 STABLEMATE NEW ZEALAND ST LEGER FINAL - R/Af - 520 SMASH MCCOY and BRITNEY LANE were tightened in the run to the first bend. Around the bend SMASH MCCOY checked out off the heels of SWEET ABOUT ME cannoning into BRITNEY LANE on his outer who in turn was propelled into KNOW BEST and WINSOME BUCKS resulting in KNOW BEST falling. She regained her feet to finish the race. A veterinary check revealed nothing amiss.
Race 9 BILL'S BAR & BISTRO STAKES - C3/4 - 520 FLYING ASPEN, WANDY HAKA and WATMOUGH were checked into the first bend when racing in tightened quarters. Soon after JODIE BALE and INGA THE WINGA came together losing momentum.
Race 10 ANGLERS ARMS TAVERN DASH - C5 - 295 ELITE BAXTER was slow to jump. Into the bend ELITE BAXTER and TONY BAXTER came together coming back on KNOW SAY.
