Judicial report: In response to questions raised by a Licence Holder, the Stewards confirmed that they did in fact, on that day, inquire into the racing manners of ASH VEGAS in race 8 on 28.04.10. Due to the lack of supporting video evidence being available to absolutely confirm that the dog had breached the Rules, the Stewards decision was to note the run and to observe its performance in future races and this information has been conveyed to the kennel representative.

Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C1 - 520	BOTANY BARB ran in from box 8 from the start and checked BIGTIME GUY and CHAMSIN CREEK who lost ground and settled at the rear and they stayed well back throughout. BOTANY BARB checked off the heels of CAWBOURNE WILKO on the last bend and then dropped out to finish in last place. The dog was reasonably well supported after two recent wins over sprint distances but this was its first run over 520 metres and together with the check received would possibly account for BOTANY BARB fading at the end of the race.
Race 2	Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C2 - 305	ROYAL MINTY was checked when racing adjacent to the rail on the first corner and she lost three lengths. DREAM SEEKER checked over the heels of THRILLING KITE on the home turn and she moved out and made contact with BACK AT YA and fell. SUPERIOR BLACK was unable to avoid the incident and also fell while CLAN DOUGLAS received a severe check as well. BACK AT YA and THRILLING KITE recovered to finish in 1st and 2nd places. DREAM SEEKER, SUPERIOR BLACK and CLAN DOUGLAS were examined by the Vet and DREAM SEEKER was stood down for 5 days with toe bruising and grazing. CLAN DOUGLAS was also stood down for 5 days with pain in a bicep muscle and SUPERIOR BLACK was cleared of injury.
Race 3	Wanganui Farm Supplies - C1 - 520	GO BOOF was slow to begin when he went up with the box lids losing three lengths. CATCHING ON was tightened between runners soon after the start and was in 2nd last place on the first corner. He then made up some ground but was checked when entering the final bend when making contact with OKAY'S BENNY BOY and they dropped back to finish in the last two places.
Race 4	Advance Pet Nutrition - C2/3 - 520	ATOMIC CLAIM ran in from the start and caused checks to WORTH WAITING, DESTINE TO EXCEL, HOMEBUSH WARRIOR and BLAKE'S ANGEL who all lost ground and settled at the rear. HOMEBUSH WARRIOR then made firm contact with the rail on the first corner and he dropped out to race several lengths behind the 2nd last runner and finished in last place. He was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 5	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd - C4 - 305	All clear.
Race 6	Keenan Concrete Wanganui, 6 Pack - C4/5 - 520	SIRROCCO HERO was tightened between HAILEY'S AGENT and BIGTIME GEM in the run to the first corner and soon after he moved out and bumped OPAWA PADLESS who was pushed wide into the bend and he never recovered and followed the field throughout to finish in last place. HAILEY'S AGENT was checked on the first corner and lost ground. HAILEYS AGENT then had to check off the heels of VIVALDI STAR on the final bend losing further ground and he finished in 6th place.
Race 7	Mickey's Super Liquor - C4/5 - 305	HEAR NO EVIL was slow to begin losing three lengths but he finished well for 3rd placing. ANOTHER NICK was checked on the first corner and fell and he was examined by the Vet and stood down for 5 days with pain in both thighs. BIGTIME MOE was checked a few strides further on and lost three lengths and she was also examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 8	Group 2 Wanganui Distance Final - C2d - 755	SWIFT FANTASY and SUDDEN SAM came together at the start and bumped and they settled at the rear. SWIFT FANTASY then dropped back to race several lengths behind the 2nd last runner but began to improve with a circuit to run and kept up a strong gallop to go on and win the race.
Race 9	Pedigree For Dogs - C4/5 - 305	MATES UNITE was checked when entering the bend and went back onto MIGHTY BIG SAM and they both lost two lengths in the incident. ADDIS SUNSET was examined by the Vet and cleared after concerns that she may have suffered a dew claw injury.
Race 10	Broad Roofing Services - C3 - 305	HORSE POWER and SPECTRA CONQUEST were slow to begin losing three lengths. BIGTIME ACHIEVER was handy to the first corner but was galloped on by MISSY OCTANE and they both lost several lengths and never recovered and finished in the last two places.
