Racing and Trialling suspended at Manukau Stadium

Hi everyone,

In recent months, there has been a concerning increase in injuries at Manukau Stadium. GRNZ considers that this increase requires immediate intervention and further investigation.

GRNZ had already previously scheduled remedial work for April. Additionally, we have now engaged overseas expert consultants to undertake a comprehensive investigation of all potential contributing factors (i.e. not just the track), and they will provide GRNZ with recommendations.

Consequently, GRNZ wishes to advise that all racing and trialling at Manukau Stadium is now suspended immediately for five weeks (until 29 April 2024). 

Race meetings that were scheduled for Manukau Stadium during this time will be transferred to Cambridge Raceway.

GRNZ will keep everyone updated over the coming weeks.
