Judicial report: PAMPEST was a late scratching at kennelling when found to be suffering the effects of diahorrea
The handler of BOTANY BAB (race 13) was unable to box the dog ,the kennel rep Mr G Tapiki intervened and was able to box the dog away
This incident held the race up for a small amount of time ,which was unfortunate on the other runners
An inquiry has been opened and adjourned in to this matt

Race 1 | Ranvet Greyhound Products Sprint - C3 - 318 | As the field race down to the first turn there was tightning and jostling as lLOCHIVAR YASI came across on to CAPTAIN RICHIE ,ASTON RED and ELLY'S GIRL ELLY'S GIRL went back to the era and lost about 4 lengths also ASTON RED ran up on the heels of CAPTAIN RICHIE with these dogs losing ground back to wards the rear where they were not able to get back in to contention from there on in |
Race 2 | www.agrc.co.nz Sprint - C0 - 318 | EXCITING GIRL was away akwardly from the boxes In the run down to the first turn SAND QUEEN came out wide and took TEAM JACOB out with her on to TOP CAT , LEO'S GIRL was in behind these dogs and caught the heels of SAND QUEEN resulting in these two dogs going back to the rear SAND QUEEN was sore on returning to the kennel block and was sent for a vet check where no abnormalities were found The winner DECLARATION received a nasty knock on pulling up to the lure and was noticeably lame in front when caught and was sent for a vet check where he was found to have pain in left wrist and left metacarpal with a 21 day stand down recommended |
Race 3 | Greyhounds North Maiden Distance Series Heat - C0d - 603 | GREYWINDS KOBY was akwardly away from the boxes ,then soon after ran on to the heels of SHIRONA as thet raced in to the home straight the first time around ,SHIRONA went back to the rear at that point ,these two dogs filled the last two positions at the line On racing out of the straight the first time WINSOME FLASH ran outwards in avoiding the heels of EXCUSABLE and ran in to the shoulder of HOT POOTIE with these dogs jostled for a couple of strides , they where not able to get in to contention from there on in |
Race 4 | Ranvet ' Muscle-G' Sprint - C1 - 318 | Soon after the start PUNK PORTSEA and LLAMEDOS came together for a stride or so BEARLY POSSIBLE , WORLD CUP MISS ,PRIMED TO DASH and LOCKLINNE ran outwards racing wide in to the first turn leaving the other runners a clear path on the inside across the top bend |
Race 5 | Reel Fishin.com Series Final - C1f - 318 | There was no head on coverage for this race from Trackside Racing down to the first turn HIT DA NOS came across and tightened IMAGINATION, SWIFT SWINGER, SNICKO and CRYSTAL BANNER resulting in CRYSTAL BANNER and IMAGINATION catching heels of SWIFT SWINGER and all three dogswent back to the rear CRYSTAL BANNER almost went down in this incident and she finished a few lengths back in last position at the line ,she was sent for a vet check where she was found to be suffering from left carpus strain with a 21 day stand down recommended |
Race 6 | Carol's TABS Stakes - C1 - 527 | PAMPEST was a late scratching at kennelling due to showing signs of diahorrea with a 5 day stand down recommended Soon after leaving the boxes FIRESIDE BLAZE and THRILLING JONAH came together for a stride HOMEBUSH TUI was forced to check back off the heels of FIRESIDE BLAZE as they raced around the first bend HOMEBUSH TUI was examined by the vet and was found to have suffered spike wounds on near front with a 7 day stand down recommended |
Race 7 | Auckland Co-op Taxis Sprint Feature - C5 - 318 | PUNK DINO was akwardly away from the boxes for a stride racing in to the first turn KISSIN KATE raced across on to PUNK DINO and MOTHERLEE with these two dogs being checked and losing a couple of lengths at that point MOODY MAN and LENNONVILLE raced wide in to and around the top bend where they covered a lot of extra ground and finished in the rear at the line |
Race 8 | $50,000 Terminating Pick6 Sprint - C5 - 318 | In the run down to the first turn PLAY THE WHISTLE ran in and made contact with the rail ,ARERIAL BAXTER who was in behind her had to check back with AERIAL BAXTER losing balance for a couple of strides PLAY THE WHISTLE was sent for a vet check and was found toi have a right fore metacarpal injury with a 14 day stand down recommended |
Race 9 | Magness Benrow Stakes - C4/5 - 527 | EMBLAZING from wide out covered extra ground as they raced around the first bend and in to the back straight he then was checked as JOHN DEED raced across towards the rail EMBLAZING lost a couple of lengths at this point going back to the rear ,he gained a run along the inside racing in to the home straight to finish in 4th placing at the line There was no head on coverage from Trackside of the back straight. |
Race 10 | Ranvet K-Max Sprint - C2 - 318 | Racing on to the point of the top bend JETSUN BELLE checked back off the heels of ROTOVEGAS GIRL and ran out on to CAWBOURNE BEAR who lost his footing in behind and went back to the rear losing ground back towards the rear CAWBOURNE BEAR and JETSUN BELLE did not recover and both finished at the rear CAWBOURNE BEAR was sent for a vet check where no abnormalities were found On the turn in to the home straight JETSUN JULES received a bump from ROTOVEGAS GIRL which sent her out wide and in trying to get rebalanced made the home turn akwardly but ran on gamely wide out for 3rd placing at the line |
Race 11 | Thornton Auctions Stakes - C3 - 527 | Racing in to the back straight JETSUN GENES, MARK'S PET and SPLENDOROUS tangled resulting in SPLENDOROUS falling and JETSUN GENES going over the top of her MARK'S PET, DECADENT, JETSUNB JULES all had there hopes extinguished in this incident finishing at the rear SPLENDOROUS was sent for a vet check and was found to have suffered left biceps injury with a 7 day stand down recommended JETSUN GENES was sent for a vet check where no abnormalities were found |
Race 12 | Ranvet 'Sprint Oil' Stakes - C2 - 527 | Racing in to the first turn CORNWALL ROAD, BOTANY ANN and MISS JETSUN came together and jostled for a couple of strides racing in to the home straight THRILLING MARCH became unbalanced for a couple of strides |
Race 13 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C4 - 318 | Soon after the start KERRIE'S FANTASY came across on to REALON RAPTURE, BOTANY BARB and ROCKY BEND GIRL with all these dogs being tightened and jostled for a few strides DONNA BAXTER was also hampered for a stride or so REALON RAPTURE went back to the rear and was uncomfortable in his galloping action finishing in last placing at the line, he was sent for a vet check and was found to have suffered a dew claw injury with a 7 day stand down recommended The handler of BOTANY BARB was unable to box the dog as itwas trying to kick out at her ,The kennel rep Graeme Tapiki intervened and was able to box the dog away with out any problems |
