CAWBOURNE FLICK continued to shift in and soon after caused checks to GROOVY SHANE and ANOTHER STREET who both lost ground and they went back to the rear and stayed there to the finish. |
Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master C3 - C3 - 305 | HOMEBUSH BRUCE checked off the heels of VINTAGE LACE on the bend and shifted out into the line of HOMEBUSH ZITA who lost several lengths and stayed back to finish in last place. |
Race 3 | Ali Arc Industries C3 - C3 - 305 | CAWBOURNE DARCY began well to be in the leading group on the first corner but was galloped on by OPAWA BLACK losing several lengths and stayed back to finish in last place. |
Race 4 | Morrie Gibbons Signs C3 - C3 - 520 | THRILLING TUNE checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH MELL soon after the start and shifted out causing a check to LOTTO PROFIT who lost ground and went back to last. One of the favourites RUN RILEY RUN started from box 8 and was forced to race wide throughout covering extra ground and he finished in last place. |
Race 5 | Ali Arc Logistics C1 Final - C1f - 520 | OKUKU STAR jumped in at the start and checked MISS SNOW ANGEL who settled at the rear and she stayed back throughout and finished in 2nd last place. |
Race 6 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1/2 - C1/2 - 520 | GO BOOF was the slowest to begin losing two lengths but he made up ground to finish in 3rd place. The favourite MICK MANIA was inconvenienced and lost ground when CAWBOURNE SMUDGE shifted out at the start. MICK MANIA gradually made up ground to finish in 4th place. SHEZA RATBAG shifted in on the first corner and checked CAWBOURNE SMUDGE who then raced wide into the first bend losing three lengths. |
Race 7 | Media Works C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | AERIAL BAXTER shifted in from the start and checked CIAO FOR NOW who went back to the rear and he stayed there throughout the race. |
Race 8 | Keenan Concrete C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 | DARLYNE OTTEY shifted in from the start and checked COLLISION RISK who was forced in causing resultant checks to SNOW TRAIL, MR JAZZ MAN and BUDDY BROKE who all lost varying amounts of ground. DARLYNE OTTEY then collided with SNOW TRAIL on the first corner and dropped back to the rear and in doing so caused checks to MR JAZZ MAN and BUDDY BROKE. BUDDY BROKE then shifted in on the first bend and checked BIG EFFORT who went back onto DARLYNE OTTEY with that runner making contact with the rail and losing several lengths and she finished in last place. DARLYNE OTTEY was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. |
Race 9 | Wanganui Security C4 - C4 - 305 | CHARLIE CLANG shifted in on the first corner and checked GROOVY BANDIT who lost three lengths but recovered well to finish in 3rd place. ANOTHER DRIZZLE shifted out soon after and checked CAWBOURNE MO who also lost three lengths and all chance of a first four placing. |
Race 10 | GEON Wellington C4 - C4 - 305 | SEDGEBROOK ELITE was slow to begin but then secured a clear inside run and finished well for 3rd placing. LIL LARRIKIN shifted out from the start and checked LETHAL REBEL who lost ground and several strides later RENNERS GIFT shifted out and LETHAL REBEL was again checked losing a length. BOTANY BARB shifted in soon after the start and checked HOMEBUSH JEM who went back to last and she stayed back throughout to finish in 2nd last place. |
Race 11 | Safemode Unified IT & Communications C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | IMA SPICE was slow to begin losing two lengths but made up ground to finish in 4th place. MOLLY DARLING started from box 1 and was inclined to race away from the rail and she checked off the back of RONS SECRET in the run to the first corner and went back to last and finished in that position. |
Race 12 | Palamountains Nutrition C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | The two best supported runners JENNINGS and FLAG WAVER were both a little slow to begin. JENNINGS did make up ground for 3rd placing but FLAG WAVER had some difficulty when racing behind KEACHYS MATE on the bend and finished in 2nd last place. |
