Weather: CloudyTrack: Good The track was presented in a good racing condition with all other equipment operating well through out the programme
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil
Judicial report: Trainer G Clarke admitted to a breach of rule 71.2 when being late for pre race presentation in race 9 he was fined $50-00 ( minor infringement )
Handler K Gommans admitted a breach of rule 71.4 on behalf of the ( McInerney ) kennels when failing to have a catcher arranged for a runner in race 8 fined $50-00 minor infringement rule
Trainer B Goldsack was spoken to advisedly in regards to the dress code the matter was not taken further as there is some misunderstanding between the Club & Trainers /handlers as to the club rule

Race 1 | Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305 | From the jump SNUFFALOPOGAS angled inwards as THIS TIME PEDRO came out resulting in ANOTHER DRINK and SEDGEBROOK GLORY being severely tightened and checked Racing to the first turn ANOTHER DRINK cut inwards to the rail severely checking THIS TIME PEDRO who made contact with the rail and went back to the rear outside of these runners ONE EAR POISED caught the heels of SEDGEBROOK GLORY and fell ONE EAR POISED recovered her footing to finish on to the lure a distance behind the field ONE EAR POISED and THIS TIME PEDRO were referred to the vet for assessment THIS TIME PEDRO no abnormalities detected in vet check |
Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305 | HOMEBUSH SMOKE began awkwardly from almost stumbling as he came off the mat BOOT THE CASH ran straight in to RANGER CHICK climbing over her hindquarters and going back to the rear RANGER CHICK was further hampered as COOL HEIR raced across bumping her HOMEBUSH SMOKE recovered after a tardy start to be handy in the midfield to the first turn where she ran on to the heels of MAGHERAFELT and lost a couple of lengths RANGER CHICK and BOOT THE CASH were forced to raced wide in to the bend in avoiding the heels of ANOTHER STONE HOMEBUSH SMOKE soon after drifted back to the rear and was observed to be uncomfortable in her galloping action nearing the home turn with her finishing a long last at the line HOMEBUSH SMOKE was referred to the vet for assessment |
Race 3 | J P Print, Petone C0 - C0 - 305 | In the run in to the first turn SHEZA WHAT WHAT came in on to the shoulder of COYOTE CAUGHT YA pushing her over on to DIXIE QUEEN in behind HUNTED and HO HO HO caught the heels of these runners as they came back on them CRAZY KATIE in behind went back several lengths soon after HUNTED ran in to COYOTE CAUGHT YA with both runners tangling for a couple of strides losing momentum and running wide CRAZY KATIE raced through between runners cutting outwards sharply across the face of HUNTED and COYOTE CAUGHT YA checking these two runners all three lost all chance there after COYOTE CAUGHT YA was referred to the vet for assessment |
Race 4 | Guthrie Bowron C1 - C1 - 520 | As the field came off the mat BOTANY PETE and SYDENHAM JADE came together for a stride RUNS LIKE AL was squeezed back from between these runners Racing in to the first bend RUNS LIKE AL moved outwards to avoid heels on to SYDENHAM JADE with both runners racing widest around the bend in to the back straight BOTANY PETE a favoured runner was forced to race wide through out the journey catching heels slightly on the top bend he was not able to make ground racing in midfield throughout |
Race 5 | Gary Ross Decorator C2 - C2 - 305 | JIMMY JURANTE and MR. BIG STUFF jostled for a short distance after jumping away with both runners becoming unbalanced. Racing toward the bend, MR. BIG STUFF was crowded when racing between STEVIE'S MAGIC and AGENTE JORGE which shifted in. As a result the trailing JIMMY JURANTE clipped a heel of MR. BIG STUFF and lost ground. Racing around the bend, JIMMY JURANTE shifted out onto the heels of MR.BIG STUFF when looking to angle wider resulting in MR.BIG STUFF faltering in its stride and losing considerable ground. MR. BIG STUFF was referred to the vet for assessment |
Race 6 | Palamountains Nutrition C1 - C1 - 520 | Favourite PUMP ACTION after beginning well, commenced to give ground rounding the bend and was observed to be short in it's action. PUMP ACTION was referred to the Vet for assessment |
Race 7 | Mickey's Super Liquor C2 - C2 - 305 | MONKEY QUEEN and EXACT MASTER were slowest to begin from the boxes. BLACK MERCEDES clipped the rail when racing around the bend and as a result, the trailing WHAT A PEANUT improved up onto the heels of BLACK MERCEDES which lost considerable ground MONKEY QUEEN raced wide rounding the bend BLACK MERCEDES was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found |
Race 8 | Keenan Concrete C1 - C1 - 520 | THRILLING AVA stumbled on leaving the boxes losing a length or so Racing to the post first time MR DARCI and BOTANY KEVIN came together jostling for several strides few strides on THIRSTY KELVIN caught the heels of MATISSE ran outwards sharply losing his balance and almost falling he quickly recovered back in to stride but was not able to get in to contention there after |
Race 9 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 Heat 1 - C1q - 305 Heat 1 | When the lids lifted CALM RITA stood there losing a couple of lengths further out SPEEDY FEET stumbled on jumping losing several lengths CALM RITA recovered well from the slow start to finish in to 5th placing at the line |
Race 10 | Renown Bakery C1 Heat 2 - C1q - 305 Heat 2 | In the run to the first turn there was tightening and jostling as HOMEBUSH ESME and ALL IN ALL crossed inwards with HOME BREWER moving out COLD TURKEY ( fav ) was severely tightened being squeezed back from between runners to the rear where she was unable to get back in to contention there after finishing in the rear at the line COLD TURKEY was referred to the vet for assessment as a precaution |
Race 11 | Wanganui Security C1 Heat 3 - C1q - 305 Heat 3 | From the jump YA LAUGHIN' and HELL FIRE came together soon after KUROHARA came out as SYDENHAM BUBBLES crossed coming together HOMEBUSH LIMBO raced outwards on to KUROHARA also Racing in to the first bend SYDENHAM BUBBLES ran in on to HELL FIRE who ran outwards KUROHARA directly in behind these runners ran out sharply to avoid heels he stumbled for a stride or so losing momentum KUROHARA finished well back at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment |
Race 12 | The Rock 95.2FM C1 Heat 4 - C1q - 305 Heat 4 | From the boxes NOISY LEO raced out wide throughout the race Racing in to the home straight BEARLY POSSIBLE ran out making contact with NOISY LEO both runners lost momentum for a stride or so when well back |
Race 13 | Box 9 Catering C1 Heat 5 - C1q - 305 Heat 5 | ZIP IT SWEETIE ( fav ) was away well in the stages vying for the lead in to the first turn she was hampered for several strides as JAGER pushed up on her inside ZIP IT SWEETIE lost ground back towards midfield and only battled away in the home straight to finish in 6th placing at the line |
Race 14 | Broad Roofing C1 Heat 6 - C1q - 305 Heat 6 | I'M A CATCH stumbled on leaving the boxes Racing to the first turn SECTIONED raced out towards the centre of the track catching the shoulder of SHEZA TERROR who was pushed out as SAUCY TOMATO came in resulting in SHEZA TERROR running out of room and falling I'M A CATCH was checked in this incident as SECTIONED became unbalanced rolling inwards on to this runner SHEZA TERROR recovered her footing to finish on to the lure a distance behind the field and was referred to the vet for assessment |
Race 15 | Mid Winter Christmas At The Races 5 July C1 Heat 7 - C1q - 305 Heat 7 | In the run to the first turn SCARILICIOUS and KIWI RANGER came together jostling for some strides with DOGGED DAN pushing outwards on to SCARILICIOUS CAWBOURNE ANNA crossed inwards to midfield tightening KIWI RANGER back on to heels KIWI RANGER stumbled for a stride losing a couple of lengths KIWI RANGER was unable to get back in to contention from there on in finishing in the rear at the line |
Race 16 | Punter Of The Year 19 July C1 Heat 8 - C1q - 305 Heat 8 | OPAWA CRUSHER knuckled over and stumbled for a stride or so at the start being last away by 7 lengths In the run to the first turn SWISS ALPS could not find racing room to improve catching the heels of WUNYA a couple of times NUTS FOR SURE attempted to move outwards in to the first turn but was checked as UNO ORANGE and TANBRYN came across pushing NUTS FOR SURE back on to the heels of WHITE LEGS Racing across the top bend SWISS ALPS had improved along the inner towards the lead ran on to the back of WUNYA as this runner was forced inwards by WHITE LEGS SWISS ALPS was checked again ran outwards full of running on to the heels of UNO ORANGE stumbled and was pushed in to the rear of UNO ORANGE with NUTS FOR SURE catching a hind leg of SWISS ALPS who was tripped sideways landing awkwardly on her off fore as she took another stride SWISS ALPS went amiss and was referred to the vet for assessment |
