Track: Good The lids failed to open on the first attempt in Race 6 due to a snapped release clip on the rail that triggers the boxes. This was fixed immediately and no further problems were encountered.

Race 1	BRENDON BURKE @ FIRST NATIONAL - C0 - 390	HOMEBUSH DOBBY (7) was last to jump. SMASH STYLE (4) ran outwards in the early stages placing CHAIMBO (5), ZULU CHANEL (6) and BOTANY BAZZ (8) all in restricted room. SMASH STYLE angled up the track in the run home dictating DA LAST CHOOK (1) wider on the track.
Race 2	SGRC $50 LEATHER LEADS - C1 - 390	GLENN IS GOODSEY (4) was last on jumping. HELLO BLONDIE (7) ran inwards into the bend checking TURBO TUNDRA (3) and CAWBOURNE CRUZE (2). MR. JOHNNY (6) angled outwards on the bend pushing CAWBOURNE CRUZE up the track with this runner receiving a slight check from behind with GLENN IS GOODSEY losing ground. WEARS THE GOLD (5) ran wide on the home turn losing ground.
Race 3	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C2 - 390	JOYNER KERSEE (6) received a slight check into the bend as ROCKWOOD ARCHIE (2) improved to her inside. SMASH AMY (1) checked outwards off runners on the home turn colliding with JACK'S A JEWEL (7) with both runners losing ground.
Race 4	Mervyn Eade Memorial Rookie Run Heats - C0q - 457 Heat 1	MAY MAY LAST (8) was last to jump. EBONY STAR (6) was checked in the early stages and dropped to a clear last. JINJA LOCH (1) ran outwards checking OPAWA VENUS (3) in the early stages. In the back straight WRINKLES (5) angled inwards and together with WAIRIO DEE JAY (2) attempting to run outwards caused HOMEBUSH SLINKY (4) to be tightened. OPAWA VENUS received a check in the home straight and lost ground.
Race 5	Mervyn Eade Memorial Rookie Run Heats - C0q - 457 Heat 2	HOMEBUSH GRU (3) was badly tightened into the bend and lost ground with HOMEBUSH HOWARD (2), SMASH WHO (5) and ANGEL D'OR (4) all being inconvenienced in behind. On the home turn ALBIE MCLEOD (7) ran outwards sharply into the line of VERBATIM (1) who made heavy contact with ALBIE MCLEOD turning that runner sideways for a stride. ALBIE MCLEOD was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 6	ALL THE BEST FRANCO LEDGER - C1 - 390	The lids failed to open on the first attempt due to a snapped release clip on the rail that triggers the boxes. All dogs were unloaded and confirmed fit to race. On the rerun MATTY HOCKY (2) and COLLECTING MONEY (8) were both very slow to jump. Stewards withheld payment until satisfied that no dog was denied a fair start and accordingly payout was authorised.
Race 7	ADDED ENERGY STAKES - C3/4 - 457	DEE (8) was last to jump. GRUNT RODGERS (4) ran inwards in the initial stages contacting CAWBOURNE FLOYD (3) and dropping to the rear.
Race 8	SGRC $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLES - C1 - 457	OHOKA TOO SOON (4) and TOKEN RAY (6) were the last pair on jumping. SHADOW BAXTER (5) was tightened into the bend losing ground.
Race 9	www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C1 - 457	THRILLING SHRIMP (8) was last to jump. HOMEBUSH STEW (6) ran inwards in the initial stages checking NICKY NOIR (4) and TUI TIME (3) who lost ground. In the back straight HOMEBUSH GINGER (1) ran outwards pushing JINJA POP (7) and THRILLING SHRIMP wider on the track.
Race 10	ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C2 - 457	ZULU BRO (1), SOUMILLON (6) and STARBURST CLEMMY (10) were the last trio on settling. CAWBOURNE STEVE (4) received a slight check into the bend losing ground. FLIP FLIPPA (3) was inconvenienced in behind and ran outwards causing checks to SOUMILLON, BOTANY RICHIE (7) and STARBURST CLEMMY with this trio losing their chances.
Race 11	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C3 - 390	RINGA DING (6) proved troublesome to box prior to this event. WAIMAK DAVE (8) was a clear last at the jump. RINGA DING ran inwards at the jump checking NOT SO CUTE (5). Soon after JOHN DORY (3) angled outwards checking RINGA DING for a stride.
Race 12	justracing.com.au - C5 - 390	OPAWA COLIN (6) and CHARLIE'S CHOICE (8) were the last pair on jumping. MY SQUIZZY (7) checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH CHOPPER (5) into the bend with both dogs losing ground.
