CHARLIE'S CHOICE (2) and HOMEBUSH BRUNO bumped rounding the bend. CHARLIE'S CHOICE checked off the heels of UMAGA RAMA shortly after. UMAGA RAMA was examined by the Vet after falling at the lure and cleared of injury. |
| Race 2 | I Pave Concrete Dash - C4 - 295 | BELLWAVE (7) was slow to begin. COLLECTING MONEY (6) shifted inwards from the start checking RED HOT FURY (5), HOMEBUSH ROCKY (4), TEE TIME (3), QUEDRAGO (2) and JINJA LOCH (1). COLLECTING MONEY continued to jostle with JINJA LOCH racing into the first bend. TEE TIME, RED HOT FURY and BELLWAVE came together racing into the first bend with the trailing HOMEBUSH ROCKY and QUEDRAGO also being checked. |
| Race 3 | David Emerson Consultancy Dash - C3 - 295 | RUN FOR SOPHIE (7) shifted inwards in the early stages dictating BROOKE DAVIS (6) down the track. BROOKE DAVIS continued to shift inwards checking NORMAN JEWEL (5), KINGMAN (4), GOLDSTAR BOMBER (3) and VINCENT GALLO (2). VAN GERWIN (1) checked off the heels of CAWBOURNE DANIAL (8) rounding the bend. VINCENT GALLO and NORMAN JEWEL briefly came together in the early stages of the home straight. |
| Race 4 | Kolorful Kanvas Stakes - C4/5 - 520 | OPAWA DIESEL (4), LONESOME NITRO (5) and UGO FLASH (8) were slow to begin. OPULENT (7) shifted inwards approaching the first bend and came together with ELEPHANT GUNN (6). CULVIE MAGIC (3) which was racing to their inside was also tightened and lost ground. Racing into the first bend OPULENT and LONESOME NITRO came together. The trailing ELEPHANT GUNN checked off the heels of OPULENT shortly after and came together with OPAWA DIESEL. Rounding the first bend OPAWA DIESEL checked off the heels of FLYING AMELIA (1) and shifted outwards resulting in OPAWA DIESEL then becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of OPULENT and colliding with UGO FLASH with both dogs losing ground. ELEPHANT GUNN and OPULENT came together leaving the back straight. CULVIE MAGIC and UGO FLASH collided on two occasions rounding the final bend. |
| Race 5 | Power Farming Canterbury Dash - C5 - 295 | AIDEN BAXTER (2) was slow to begin. HETFIELD (4) shifted inwards in the early stages checking AIDEN BAXTER. ANIU (1) and WHEELCHAIR NORM (3) jostled for some distance along the back straight. ANIU was then tightened by WHEELCHAIR NORM racing into the first bend and lost momentum. INSPECTOR SPOT (7) became awkwardly placed on the heels of NO LEAF CLOVER (6) racing into the first bend. ANIU was tightened by INSPECTOR SPOT leaving the bend. RAMBUNCTIOUS (5) and KNOW KNOWING (8) also came together leaving the bend. HETFIELD was examined by the Vet following the race and found to have a stifle injury. |
| Race 6 | Carol's T.A.B. Stakes - C3 - 520 | KNOW LAUGHING (1) checked off the heels of JIBBAJABBA JEWEL (5) and shifted outwards checking KNOW SMIGGLE (2) and OPAWA AMY (6) with OPAWA AMY losing its chance. OPAWA AMY was examined by the Vet following the race and cleared of injury. KNOW LAUGHING was also cleared of injury by the Vet after falling at the lure. |
| Race 7 | Mac Developments Sprint - C3 - 295 | LOOK AT LUCY (8) was slow to begin. OPAWA OPAL (4) and GIGANAIRE (5) bumped at the start. MISS SOFTY (6) and LITTLE MIDNIGHT (7) came together on several occasions in the early stages with MISS SOFTY losing ground. OPAWA OPAL and KNOW JEALOUSY (9) came together approaching the first bend. TERRA ANNIE (3), GIGANAIRE and LITTLE MIDNIGHT collided rounding the bend. |
| Race 8 | Barron's Supplies South Island Championship - C5f - 520 | The start of this race was put back 2 minutes after a delay at the NZ Metropolitan TC meeting. IZZEY BALE (7) checked off the heels of FROST YOURSELF (6) in the early stages. ZIPPING SONNY (5) and FROST YOURSELF (6) came together racing into the first bend. KNOW MENTION (8) and FROST YOURSELF came together shortly after with KNOW MENTION being forced wider on the track. Rounding the first bend DREAM COLLECTOR (2) checked off the heels of ZIPPING SONNY. Entering the back straight TRUST ISSUES (1) was tightened by ZIPPING SONNY and lost momentum with the trailing IZZEY BALE having to shift ground to avoid TRUST ISSUES. FROST YOURSELF and TRUST ISSUES bumped rounding the final bend and in the run home. |

SHADOW APACHE (1) was tightened by ZEBIDIAH (3) racing along the back straight. SHADOW APACHE was checked by CAMSIDE GOLD (4) racing into the first bend with the trailing RICK'S TERRA (7), ZORBA THE GREEK (5) and BOTANY WIN also being checked. CAMSIDE GOLD and ZEBIDIAH came together rounding the bend. ECKLES (6) and CAMSIDE GOLD bumped in the run home. |
