Weather: RainingTrack: Dead The track was presented in a good racing condition with rain falling during the meeting and was well maintained. All other equipment operated well.
Scales: Correct at checked weights.
Health and Safety comment:
Judicial report: 1) K Coppins Chairman of Stewards races 1-10.
2) M Austin Chairman of Stewards races 11-19.
3) OSTAPENKO (L Hunt), completed a satisfactory trial, and connections provided the required veterinary certificate clearing this Greyhound to race.
4) VIKING JOOP (L Hunt), SIMPLY SMOOTH (L Cole) and CHECKPOINT (M Flipp) completed satisfactory trials and are clear to race.
5) SKELDALE (J & D Bell) charged pursuant with Rule 55.1(b) failing to pursue and stood down for 28 days and a satisfactory trial.
6) SAHARA PENNY (M Flipp) stood down 21 days following trial with pain on carpal flexion.
7) Race 18 BIGTIME RUSTY #2 fell to the track after passing the finishing line due to bad cramping and was referred to the vet where he recovered quickly with no stand down being imposed, the Stewards requested that the vet take a blood sample for basic blood chemistry testing.

A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed superficial bruising over left pectoral muscle. |

Moved towards runner to its outside shortly after entering the home straight turned its head and appeared to ease for 2-3 strides. | Race 12 | J P PRINT PETONE C1/2 - C1/2 - 305 | COOKIE BISCUIT (1) - tightened in to the bend contacted the rail losing momentum and ground referred to the vet and was found to have pain in the right hind graclius muscle. LADY JELLYBEAN (2) - tightened and forced inwards checking in to the bend recovered good ground thereafter. SOZIN'S ANGEL (4) - angled across in to the bend tightening runners to her inner for several strides. DOTTIE BELL (5) - began awkwardly was then pushed inwards on to hindquarters settled back ran widest in to the bend came together jostling and bumping with runner to her outer nearing the home bend losing momentum and ground finishing several lengths in the rear at the line. ZARA ZOE (8) - angled across in to the bend catching heels checking outwards soon after nearing the home bend was bumped and jostled for some strides then contacted in the hindquarters going sideways for a stride or so losing all chance from there. |

EPIC SPARK (3) - angled outwards from the jump soon after contacted and hampered runners to her outer checked in to the bend losing ground was unable to improve thereafter. IDOL JAN (4) - hampered when tightened between runners soon after the start bumped and unbalanced losing momentum and ground in to the bend was unable to improve thereafter. TYNECASTLE FLYER (5) - hampered for some strides in the early stages when unable to clear heels. |
