Track: Good Track was presented in a good racing condition being well maintained throughout. All other equipment operated well.

SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT:

Palmerston North GRC - 12th May 2020 - Stewards have concluded their inquires into the abandonment of race 9 after the lids activated prior to the lure reaching the starting point. It was established that starter Mr S Gillies had failed to ensure the lids had engaged correctly which resulted in the premature activation of the lids. As a consequence to this Mr Gillies was fined the sum of $300.00.



SPECIAL REPORT:

• This meeting was closed to public due to Government restrictions surrounding Covid - 19 and was run under Greyhound Racing New Zealand Work Safe Covid - 19 protocols.

DINO THE FOX (8) - dictated widest in to the bend raced wide thereafter when attempting to make ground.
Race 2 Accell Leading The Way In Canine Therapy C2 - C2 - 520 ALLEN MACK (4) - jostled soon after the start settled back in to the first turn was unable to improve thereafter finishing a margin in the rear at the line a veterinary examination found pain right carpus.
BIG TIME HARPER (5) - jostled between runners soon after the start losing some momentum came back off heels racing in to the first turn was unable to get back in to contention.
CAVATATE (7) - began awkwardly for a stride or so angled inwards across heels racing around the first bend and became awkwardly placed for a couple of strides.
Race 3 Aon Insurance C4 - C4 - 305 IDOL DUKE (2) - went up with the lids came back off heels in to the bend soon after forced to check back off heels losing momentum and ground.
BIGTIME BREMNER (3) - began awkwardly hampered for a few strides when arcing in tight quarters in to the bend.
CHEESEBALL (4) - dwelt and was slow in to stride angled outwards and was forced to cover a fair amount of extra ground in the running.
SIR DUGGIE (6) - fav- first out was never headed thereafter kennel representative when questioned of a form reversal advised that the dog appreciated a drop in class.
Race 4 Adept Accountants C2/C3 - C2/3 - 520 BIGTIME DAISY (1) - began awkwardly recovered quickly in to stride handy in to the first turn when bumped and checked going back a length or so.
BIGTIME TANK (2) - became unbalanced for a few strides in the run in to the first turn improved steadily to make good ground to the line.
DAPPER RAPPER (3) - hampered for some strides in the run on to the top bend when unable to clear heels .
BIG TIME CHAD (4) - fav- dwelt at the jump settled in to the body of the field soon after improved along the inner and finished best.
GAZZA'S GIRL (5) - raced wide in to the back straight racing wide thereafter.
Race 5 Kernow Construction C4 - C4 - 305 BEES AND BIRDS (3) - angled outwards in the run to the bend running in to ALLEGRO CURTIS and jostled for several strides made ground wide thereafter to the line.
ALLEGRO CURTIS (6) - fav- dwelt at the jump soon after was tightened and jostled between runners racing to the bend where he was checked and caught hindquarters going wide was bumped and went sideways when improving between runners on the bend losing momentum and ground.
SEDGEBROOK LOVER (7) - held up when racing in to tight quarters in to the bend came together with ALLEGRO CURTIS on the home turn losing momentum and ground.
BIGTIME BANJO (8) - jostled for some strides in the run to the bend where he became unbalanced as he entered the bend made good ground widest on the home turn to the line.
Race 6 Palamountain's Scientific Nutrition C3/C4 - C3/4 - 520 BIGTIME BRET (1) - hampered for a stride or so in to the first turn going back a length or so.
BIGTIME ARCHIE (2) - bumped soon after the start tightened and checked in to the first turn losing momentum and ground
BIGTIME BRUNO (3) - almost stumbled as he came out of the boxes was then tightened between runners and checked back settled midfield was unable to improve thereafter.
BIG TIME ANTON (5) - angled across the face of several runners soon after the start causing then to tighten and check
ASK KING JEFF (6) - fav- dwelt at the jump was hampered for a stride or so tightened and checked in to the first turn racing out wide raced widest thereafter finishing towards the rear at the line a veterinary examination found pain right deltoid.
BIG TIME SPOT (8) - angled across in to the first turn tightening and checking runners to her inner .settled back was unable. to improve thereafter.
HOT PLATTER (9/4) - contact soon after the start held up and tightened in to the first turn made very good ground thereafter to the line.
Race 7 CPF Insurance C4/C5 - C4/5 - 305 BIG TIME FROSTY (1) - began awkwardly was then contacted and jostled for some strides as she attempted to angle outwards losing ground back and was unnble to get back in to contention thereafter.
TROJAN HOARSE (2) - fav- dwelt at the jump was then tightened and checked as he attempted to get in to stride settled in the rear in the run in to the bend made some ground along the inner across the top bend to the line.
EYE FAR (3) - tightened and checked between runners as he attempted to get in to stride went back and outwards across heels was unable to make ground thereafter.
DOOMSDAY (4) - jostled and bumped racing from the start racing midfield in to the bend when forced to check abruptly off heels running wide losing momentum and ground.
BIGTIME LEO (5) - from the jump raced across the face of runners to his inner to get across to the rail settled handy.
BIGTIME EMJAY (8) - angled across in to the bend checking runner to his inner held up for some strides in the run across the top bend.
Race 8 Red Snapper Seafoods, Christchurch C4/C5 - C4/5 - 305 BIG TIME PLUTO (2) - fav- dwelt and was slow in to stride was contacted and checked in to the bend going outwards bumped again soon after going out on to TROPHY TROPHY checking and losing all chance thereafter.
BIG TIME JONIE (4) - angled across to the lead in to the bend across the line of BIGTIME ZIGGY causing this runner to check and go back on to following runners losing ground back through the field and was checked again soon after when catching the heels of SUB TWENTY THREE as this runner crossed to the rail.
TROPHY TROPHY (6) - angled inwards in to the bend coming together with BIG TIME PLUTO soon after was bumped again losing momentum and all chance thereafter a veterinary examination found no abnormalities.
ARTICULATOR (8) - midfield and wide when checked in to the bend bumped and checked again on the top bend losing all chance thereafter.
Race 9 Wanganui Toyota C5 - C5 - 520 BIG TIME BRIE (7) - angled across to lead in to the first turn was checked soon after as BIG TIME JACKSON crossed her line to the rail causing her to check out wide and race extremely wide in to the back straight covering extra ground attempted to improve wide on to the top bend weakened out to finish in the rear at the line a veterinary examination found no abnormalities
BIG TIME JACKSON (8) - caught wide in to the first turn soon after angled across to the rail causing tightening to several runners in behind was unable to keep up the pace weakening soon after .
Race 10 Laser Plumbing C3 - C3 - 305 ZARA ZARA (2) - bumped and jostled soon after the start as ALLEGRO LANIE angled out from the inside box.
BIG TIME DYNASTY (3) - hampered in the run in to the bend as runners ahead were dictated across forced to abruptly angle out across heels nearing the home turn when racing back becoming unbalanced as she straightened for the run home finishng in the rear at the line.
SO SEVERE (5) - jostled soon after the start but was able to keep his ground.
MISS POTENTIAL (6) - began awkwardly then bumped and jostled in the run from the lids bumped in the run in to the bend made good ground towards the leaders across the top bend checked out off heels on the home turn and was hampered again in the home straight when clearing the heels of SO SEVERE
ALLEGRO ELLA (7) - fav- soon after the jump was tightened and checked back hampered for a few strides in the run to the bend angled out wide was unable to make ground thereafter.
FUNZALO (8) - angled across from the jump coming together with MISS POTENTIAL soon after was bumped as MISS POTENTIAL continued on making ground between runners hampered for a stride or so nearing the home turn .
Race 11 Gary Ross Decorators C3 - C3 - 305 IDOL STEFFIE (2) - soon after the start was bumped and jostled for a few strides angled outwards in to the bend settled midfield unable to make ground to the line.
TOKEN VIKKERS (3) - soon after the start was bumped and jostled for a couple of strides settled midfield unable to make ground to the line.
BIGTIME ON TRACK (4) - soon after the start was tightened and checked back from between runners losing momentum and ground was unable to improve thereafter.
CLASSIC RAPPER (5) - jumped well was then severely tightened and checked coming back off heels losing momentum unable to get in to contention thereafter.
BIG TIME NASH (6) - checked racing from the start as runner to his outer crossed losing momentum was unable to improve thereafter.
YARN SISTER (7) - jumped well angled across causing tightening and checks to runners to her inner.
BIG TIME FAIRY (8) - fav- sped to an early clear lead and was never headed.
Race 12 Guthrie Bowron Wanganui C3 - C3 - 305 IDOL FANCY PANTS (3) - began very awkwardly then checked as LIFE IS GOOD angled across settled back came back off heels in to the bend was unable to make ground to the line.
ALLEGRO KYLE (5) - was awkwardly away for a stride racing midfield in to the bend when catching hindquarters and checked settled midfield could not make ground to the line.
ZARA CHEEBEE (6) - raced handy cleared heels and ran wide on the home turn losing some ground.
