Weather: Overcast
Track: Dead On arrival at the course the Stewards undertook their track inspection and were concerned about some possible inconsistencies with the track surface. Stewards spoke with track curator, M Beeson, who carried out some remedial work with trials commencing and being completed without incident. Following race 3 some concerns were raised (as per judicial) with further remedial work carried out and no further issues being raised.

Health and Safety comment: nil

Judicial report: 1- After the conclusion of race 3 there were several complaints made to the Stewards regarding some areas of the track.
A delegation of Trainers inspected the track with the Stewards and curator and agreed to have some remedial work carried out some area's.
This was done with the races put back 4 races.
The Stewards monitored the track for the rest of the meeting with no further issues during the racing.

2- FRECKLE race 3 # 3 ( J T McInerney ) has been stood down under rule 55.1b ( failing to pursue ) and to the completion of a satisfactory trail.

3- COCKNEY RIP OFF race 6 #2 has been stood down rule 56.8 to the completion of a satisfactory trial and a Veterinary clearance before being eligible to be nominated.

4- BARBAROSSA BOY race 5 # 1 has been stood down 56.8 until the completion of a satisfactory trial Veterinary clearance before being eligible to be nominated'

Race 1	WELCOME TO HATRICK C0 - C0 - 305	KIOSK (1) - dwelt and was last into stride. Racing to the bend he was bumped and jostled and then checked as YESENIA angled across to the rail. He lost momentum and ground finishing in the midfield at the line. AHUROA WHIZZ (2) - trailed the leader into the bend and was held up for some strides when looking to clear this runners heels. When clear led in to the home straight and became unbalanced for a stride or so after changing legs. He was referred to the vet and cleared of injury. YESENIA (7) - stood when the lids went up and was slow away. He then angled across towards the rail bumping and jostling with KIOSK for some strides then angled to the rail. ALLEGRO GEMMA (8) - went up with the lids and was slow into stride.
Race 2	AON CPF C0 - C0 - 305	SO LIKE ME (1) - spread himself as he came off the mats. He then ran outwards contacting KENETIC ANNA then angled back inwards on the inner making good ground across the top bend and to the line. he was referred to the vet and cleared of injury. IDOL ANDY (3) - hampered in the run to the bend when contacted in the hindquarters and became unbalanced for a couple of strides. KINETIC ANNA (4) - hampered soon after the start when pushed out on to the hind of TUI TONIGHT. Soon after she angled inwards contacting the hindquarters of IDOL ANDY. ALAMEIN BEAUDEN (6) - stood in the boxes when the lids lifted and was slow away by 5 lengths. He improved on to the back of the field and was forced to check out wide over heels into the bend. He finished towards the rear at the line.
Race 3	LASER PLUMBING C0 - C0 - 305	FRECKLE (3) - racing from the boxes she attempted to run outwards bumping and jostling with runners to her outer for a couple of strides. She then carried on turning her head outwards for some strides in the run to the bend where she was checked as ALAMEIN SAM improved to her outer angling inwards across her line as they entered the bend causing her to be checked and lose ground. Charged pursuant with Rule 55.1(b), Failing To Pursue, and stood down for 28 days and to complete a satisfactory trial (first offence). A post race veterinary examination was carried out which found a sore left hind hock and stifle requiring a 7 day stand down.. ALLEGRO OLIVE (4) - tightened and forced back as she came off the mats. She soon angled outwards between runners then angled inwards into the bend checking runners in behind. HURRICANE AYLA (5) - soon after the start she was crowded and jostled back from between runners. She was crowded again and caught heels losing momentum into the bend .She was unable to make ground thereafter. ALLEGRO SADE (6) - jostled soon after the start. Racing into the bend she was hampered and angled inwards across heels. WAITING GAME (9/7) - forced to check abruptly and ran wide into the bend after contacting the hindquarters of ALLEGRO OLIVE. She recovered to make good ground to the line.
Race 4	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C2 - C2 - 305	SO SEVERE (3) - bumped and unbalanced racing off the mats. He ran inwards abruptly and struck the rail racing into the bend. He lost momentum and ground and was unable to make ground thereafter. He was referred to the vet with no injuries found. HYPOTHETICAL (4) - Contact racing from the boxes into the hindquarters of SO SEVERE. He then caught heels and fell quickly recovering to his paws to finish onto the lure some distance back. He was referred to the vet with no injuries found, however stood down pursuant with the GRNZ fallen Greyhound protocol. SIDELINE SALLY (5) - vying for the lead when forced to check as BIG TIME BEAT crossed to the rail. She lost a couple of lengths but was able to keep her position in the running to the line. BIG TIME BEAT (7) - crossed to the lead racing into the bend hampering runner to her inner. PAVING WAY (9/2) - soon after the start angled out between runners racing widest into the bend and continued racing widest to the line.
Race 5	WWW.RACINGTIPS.CO.NZ C2 - C2 - 305	BARBAROSSA BOY (1) - dwelt slightly at the jump . Settled in the midfield. Checked out over heels on the point of the home turn finishing in the midfield at the line. He was referred to the vet after collapsing at the lure, on examination found to have a high heart rate, however had improved after 10 minutes. Trainer B Goldsack advised Stewards that it is his intention to have full blood work taken in the coming days and report any findings back to the Stewards. To complete a satisfactory trial and clear vet examination prior to resuming. SUMMER GLEE (2) - awkwardly away for a stride or so. Raced in tight quarters into the bend losing some momentum. he was unable to get BIGTIME ON TRACK (4) - changed ground over heels into the bend and lost some ground. BOOT CAMP TIARA (8) - raced widest throughout finishing towards the rear at the line.
Race 6	FIRST SECURITY C1 - C1 - 305	COCKNEY RIP OFF (2) - began awkwardly then became uncoordinated and fell to the track. She recovered to her paws and was very uncoordinated in her galloping action to the lure. She was referred to the vet with no obvious abnormalities detected. Trainer M Olden has advised Stewards that she intends to have COCKNEY RIP OFF examined by her own vet, with any findings reported to the Stewards. To complete a trial and a clear vet examination prior to resuming. PUNCH ON SCOOBY (4) - contact and unbalanced soon after the start as he angled outwards. He was bumped and jostled for a few strides. Then fell into the bend. He recovered to his paws to finish onto the lure. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries, however stood down pursuant with the GRNZ fallen Greyhound protocol.
Race 7	ACCELL "LEADING THE WAY IN CANINE THERAPY" C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH YURI (1) - racing handy on the inner into the bend when hampered for a couple of strides. She was going well enough to hold her position in the running. IDOL LUCY (2) - In the run to the bend she was jostled for some strides and checked into the bend going back several lengths stumbling for a stride or so .She was unable to make ground from the midfield to the line. HARDCORE KYLIE (3) - in the run to the bend she was tightened bumped and jostled for some strides. She then came back off heels losing momentum and ground to the rear as they entered the bend and was unable to make ground thereafter. ALLEGRO LINCOLN (5) - angled across from the jump causing tightening runners to his inner for some strides. OMA RAPETI (6) - contact and checked into the bend resulting in her having to abruptly check out off hindquarters losing momentum and ground. She was unable to make ground thereafter.
Race 8	HAPPY BIRTHDAY TARA SYMES-SIMPSON Ht1 - C1q - 520 Heat 1	MIDNIGHT MOLLY (3) - bumped and jostled in the run into the first turn. She then came back off heels losing ground and was unable to make ground thereafter. TAKAKAWE (4) - bumped racing off the mats. Bumped again soon after as BIG TIME FELIX angled across. He settled back and was forced to check off heels racing around the first turn. he raced extremely wide into the back straight and was unable to make ground thereafter. BIG TIME FELIX (7) - began awkwardly and slow away. He then ran into TAKAKAWE. He ran widest into the first turn. he soon angled closer in settling in the midfield. he angled out across the top bend and weakened in the run to the line.
Race 9	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1 Ht2 - C1q - 520 Heat 2	THREE OF HEARTS (1) - forced to check out over heels racing into the first turn. Raced wide into and along the back straight. She race wide in attempting to make ground onto the top bend effort told in the run to the line. DANGEROUS DI (3) - contact and checked racing off the mats. She lost her initial momentum for a few strides. She made some ground along the inner racing around the first turn to finish in the midfield at the line. SPEED MACHINE (4) - fav- began awkwardly for a stride or so running across the face of DANGEROUS DI checking this runner. MAINLINE LIL (10/7) - hampered and checked into the first turn. She was unable to get into contention thereafter.
Race 10	WANGANUI TOYOTA C1 - C1 - 305	PARADOX PRINCE (4) - soon after the start he was bumped and jostled for some strides then checked wide into the bend. NOT SHACKLEY (6) - soon after the start contacted shoulder of inner runner and was bumped and jostled between runners for some strides. He was able to improve into the bend to chase the leader to the line. BIG TIME RICKY (9/5) - went up with the lids and was last into stride by 3 lengths. He soon improved along the inner into the bend. He was held up for some strides across the top bend when looking to clear heels. Angled out across heels on the home turn angling inwards as he made ground to the line.
Race 11	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION@ HATRICK C1 - C1 - 305	GOLDSTAR MCQUEEN (3) - dwelt as the lids lifted and was slow away. He was improving into the bend when checked losing momentum and ground. Was unable to get back into contention thereafter. COOL BEANS (4) - stumbled for a stride coming off the mats losing some momentum. He went back towards the rear and clipped heels and fell entering the bend. He recovered to his paws to finish onto the lure and was referred to the vet which revealed no injuries, however stood down pursuant with the GRNZ fallen Greyhound protocol. HOMEBUSH SHOWOFF (5) - bumped with runners to his inner soon after the start. He then angled outwards to the bend running onto the hindquarters of OPAWA JODY and ran wide onto the top bend. He raced wide thereafter. OPAWA JODY (7) - racing to the bend she was contacted in the hindquarters and was uanblanced for a stride or so.
Race 12	SEE YOU FRIDAY C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH JOZIE (1) - began awkwardly for a stride or so. Tightened and hampered for a few strides racing into the bend. Went back to the rear and was unable to make ground thereafter. ARTHUR'S CROWN (6) - ran outwards soon after the start coming together with SHAMROCK GREEN. Ran wide into and around the bend finishing in the midfield at the line. IDOL WILSON (7) - racing from the start IDOL WILSON ran across contacting the hind of losing momentum. SHAMROCK GREEN (8) - angled across in the run to the bend and became awkwardly placed checking out across heels onto the top bend.
Race 13	KERNOW CONSTRUCTION C1 - C1 - 305	BIG TIME MAY (3) - attempted to angle outwards from the start pushing runners to her outer outwards and causing herself to be jostled back from between runners. ELSA BLUEBLOOD (4) - racing off the mats she was tightened and jostled then checked back from between runners. She came back off heels racing into the bend and was unable to get into contention thereafter. ENTREE ONLY (5) - soon after the start she was tightened and jostled back from between runners for some strides. She then angled out across heels to race widest into the bend. LUCY LINGERS (6) - soon after the start she was jostled from her inner as runners were pushed outwards. Once in the clear she worked her way to lead into the bend.
Race 14	PRESIDENTS SPRINT C1 - C1 - 305	MISS COWDREY (2) - dwelt and was slow into stride. He then angled out sharply catching heels to race wide to the bend. She then angled inwards into the body of the field. She was contacted in the hindquarters turning into the home straight and finished in the midfield at the line. COOL WOLF (3) - jumped well then went to angle out and was jostled and pushed back inwards for some strides as DYNA BRYLEIGH angled across. He checked back out over the heels of DYNA BRYLEIGH. he went back towards the rear and was unable to make ground thereafter. GOTCHA MURPHY (4) - soon after the start the was tightened and checked back from between runners. He then angled across to the rail making good ground thereafter to the line. SAHARA PIPPA (5) - soon after the start she was tightened and forced back from between runners going up and out over heels. She ran widest into and onto the top bend finishing in the midfield at the line. DYNA BRYLEIGH (6) - angled across hard from the jump causing tightening and checks to several runners to his inner and himself for some strides. I'LL BE LOYAL (7) - contact coming off the mats. She improved into the body of the field and was checked racing onto the top bend as MISS COWDRY angled in across her line. She soon lost ground and finished in the rear at the line. SMALL PAIGE (10/1) - away well into a prominent position racing to the bend. She drifted outwards losing ground then was hampered nearing the home turn as MISS COWDRY changed ground and finished towards the rear at the line.
