Wanganui GRC - 15th January 2021

1). OPAWA TROY (N Udy) - Stewards have followed up the recovery of this greyhound following the injury sustained at the above meeting. OPAWA TROY underwent x-rays which determined a positive prognosis of full recovery. However while undergoing routine surgery OPAWA TROY passed away.

1) TUFF ADMIRAL (B Mitchell) - 28 days and to complete a satisfactory trial for marring in race 4.

A post race veterinary examination was carried out due to an incident the lure which revealed no injuries.. BIG TIME JIMMY (2) - tightened CUMBRIA LAD entering the bend, becoming unbalanced and checking THRILLING BAXTER, losing ground as a result. CUMBRIA LAD (3) - slow away. Tightened entering the bend appearing to contact the rail with a post race veterinary examination being carried out which revealed no injuries. BIG TIME VEGAS (4) - coursed wide through the home straight. BROKE BRAD (5) - slow away. Moved up the track shortly after the start to race wide through the back straight. BIG TIME PLUTO (6) - a post race veterinary examination was carried out due to an incident at the lure which revealed no injuries.. THRILLING BAXTER (7) - checked and lost ground entering the bend. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries.
Race 2	Commentators Day Out Here 1st March C2/C3 - C2/3 - 457	The start of this race was delayed by 1 minute at the request of Raceday Control. RAPID FIRE (1) - moved up the track shortly after the start contacting MYSTERY VIKING. WOMAN NO CRY (3) - contacted at the start. Buffeted through the back straight, losing ground as a result and moving wider nearing the bend. Checked across heels entering the home straight to race wide. RHODES WORTHY (4) - tightened, then contacted WOMAN NO CRY at the start. Buffeted WOMAN NO CRY through the back straight. Coursed wide through the home straight. BIG TIME KOBE (5) - tightened RHODES WORTHY at the start. Held up through the home straight and unable to gain clear racing room. MYSTERY VIKING (6) - contacted shortly after the start.
Race 3	J P Print, Petone C0 - C0 - 410	THRILLING BREEZE (1) - contacted ENGINE ROOM entering the bend, becoming momentarily unbalanced. Contacted from behind on the point of the bend. ENGINE ROOM (2) - bumped at the start. Contacted entering the bend. Contacted THRILLING BREEZE from behind on the point of the bend, losing ground. BIG TIME DOMINO (3) - began awkwardly, bumping ENGINE ROOM at the start. TUFF DYNAMO (5) - began awkwardly, bumping BIG TIME WOLFIE at the start. Bumped BIG TIME BRADLEY shortly after the start. Raced wide through the home straight. BIG TIME WOLFIE (6) - bumped at the start, then bumped BIG TIME BRADLEY. Awkwardly placed behind runners entering the bend. Raced wide through the home straight. BIG TIME BRADLEY (7) - bumped at the start. Bumped again shortly after the start. THRILLING MILO (8) - slow away.
Race 4	Red Snapper Seafoods, Christchurch C0 - C0 - 457	BIG TIME BRYNN (1) - bumped entering the home straight. BIG TIME GLORY (2) - bumped shortly after the start. Bumped BIG TIME BRYNN entering the home straight. TUFF ADMIRAL (3) - turned his head inwards on jumping before turning his head outwards toward UNCLE ALBERT making head contact with that runner as a consequence. Awkwardly placed behind runners entering the bend, needing to check across heels to gain clear racing room. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries. Stood down for 28 days and to complete a satisfactory trial pursuant with Rule 55.1(a), Marring. UNCLE ALBERT (4) - marred by TUFF ADMIRAL shortly after the start before being tightened, losing ground. Awkwardly placed behind runners entering the bend. BIG TIME CHASE (5) - slow away. Appeared to contact the rail nearing the home straight. A post race veterinary examination was requested, however he had already left the track. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.. TUFF TIGER (6) - began awkwardly, then tightened UNCLE ALBERT and bumped BIG TIME GLORY shortly after the start. Awkwardly placed between runners entering the bend, contacting FEDERAL FANTASY. FEDERAL FANTASY (8) - contacted entering the bend, becoming unbalanced and checking BIG TIME TED. BIG TIME TED (9/7) - checked entering the bend, losing ground. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries.
Race 5	Total Bodyshop Supplies Distance C2 - C2d - 660	TEKKI JIM (1) - began awkwardly. Bumped entering the first bend. EMGRAND ROSE (2) - bumped TEKKI JIM entering the first bend. THRILLING AMELIA (4) - tightened nearing the first bend, losing some ground. BRONSKI BEAT (5) - began awkwardly, then tightened THRILLING AMELIA nearing the first bend. Tightened on the point of the first bend, needing to check across heels to gain clear racing room. SPEED MACHINE (7) - tightened BRONSKI BEAT on the point of the first bend. THRILLING NINA (8) - slow away.
Race 6	Mark Rosanowski Calling Here 1st March C1 - C1 - 457	JUST LIKE LUCY (3) - contacted shortly after the start. Jostled, briefly, with BIG TIME YONKERS, through the back straight. Coursed wide through the home straight. BIG TIME YONKERS (4) - contacted JUST LIKE LUCY shortly after the start. Jostled, briefly, with JUST LIKE LUCY, through the back straight. Attempted to move up the track nearing the winning post, inconveniencing GOLDSTAR HADLEE. GOLDSTAR HADLEE (5) - slow away. Inconvenienced nearing the winning post. ROSE AND CROWN (6) - slow away. Raced wide throughout.
Race 7	Paul Claridge Electrical C1 - C1 - 410	OPAWA LARA (1) - awkwardly placed entering the bend, losing ground. Tightened nearing the home straight, needing to check across heels to gain clear racing room. ARIANA SUNSET (2) - began awkwardly. Tightened nearing the bend, losing ground. ZIPPING LUTHER (3) - tightened ARIANA SUNSET nearing the bend. GOTCHA POPEYE (4) - bumped at the start. Tightened entering the bend, losing ground. Tightened OPAWA LARA nearing the home straight, again losing some ground. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed pain over left trapezius muscle. BIG TIME MILO (5) - slow away. ALLEGRO VEY (6) - bumped GOTCHA POPEYE at the start. Tightened GOTCHA POPEYE entering the bend. BIG TIME HARRY (8) - began awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
Race 8	Phillipa Morris Calling Here 1st March C1 - C1 - 410	SLIPPERY SUZIE (2) - squeezed entering the bend, losing ground. BIG TIME BOOTS (3) - coursed wide through the home straight. SPRING FOX (4) - bumped JACK MARJEN at the start. Squeezed SLIPPERY SUZIE entering the bend. JACK MARJEN (5) - bumped at the start. KING THEODEN (6) - squeezed SLIPPERY SUZIE entering the bend. MY BENTLEY (7) - began awkwardly, settling towards the rear of the field.
Race 9	Outback Trading Company C5 - C5 - 410	BEES AND BIRDS (1) - tightened nearing the bend, becoming unbalanced and moving up the track to race wide for the remainder of the event. BIG TIME KEVIN (3) - began awkwardly. ZAMAH (8) - tightened BEES AND BIRDS nearing the bend.
Race 10	Big Barrel Palmerston North C4 - C4 - 410	SCREAMING VIKING (1) - tightened on the point of the bend, losing ground. FREE THINKER (4) - raced wide for the majority of the event. RUNNING FREER (6) - tightened SCREAMING VIKING on the point of the bend.
Race 11	Aaron White Calling Here 1st March C2/C3 - C2/3 - 410	MOTHER'S TOUCH (1) - moved up the track through the back straight, checking RETALLICK entering the bend. Raced wide for the majority of the event. BIG TIME LEBRON (4) - raced wide through the home straight. RETALLICK (7) - began awkwardly, setting several lengths behind the field. Checked entering the bend. Faltered after the winning post. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed a fractured right hock.
Race 12	PNGRC Sectional Times @ pngreyhounds.kiwi C2 - C2 - 410	SUMMER GLEE (2) - squeezed WIFI WILBUR entering the bend. WIFI WILBUR (3) - buffeted nearing the bend. Squeezed between runners entering the bend, losing ground. Bumped GEMMAS DILEMMA nearing the winning post. BIG TIME FELIX (5) - buffeted WIFI WILBUR nearing the bend. Squeezed WIFI WILBUR entering the bend. Tightened on the point of the bend. XANTHE JEWEL (6) - tightened BIG TIME FELIX on the point of the bend. GEMMAS DILEMMA (7) - slow away. Raced wide through the home straight. KIOSK (8) - began awkwardly. Lost ground when WIFI WILBUR lost ground and came back into his running line.
