SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT: Southland GRC 13 April 2021

Trainer B Conner has advised Stewards that TEE AN' CEE was found to be suffering from a shoulder injury after Tuesday's race and will be spelled while recovering.

Race 5	St Clair Stakes - C1 - 545	SPEEDY LUCY (1) - ran outwards into first turn badly checking DUBLIN EXPRESS and BIG TINY. OHOKA KATE (2) - checked by MULL OF KINTYRE on two occasions early stages losing considerable ground. Badly checked when avoiding MULL OF KINTYRE first turn losing chance. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. MULL OF KINTYRE (3) - ran inwards checking OHOKA KATE on two occasions early stages losing ground. Ran inwards and struck the rail first turn then ran outwards causing interference to OHOKA KATE. Appeared to be disorientated after this narrowly missing contacting the sprint boxes. Pulled up leaving back straight and failed to complete the race. Assessed by vet and found to be suffering from cramp. Trainer S Hindson advised that dog will not be returning to Forbury. DUBLIN EXPRESS (5) - badly checked by SPEEDY LUCY into first turn contacting BIG TINY in consequence. BIG TINY (6) - contacted by DUBLIN EXPRESS into first turn losing ground. OPAWA LYNDSAY (8) - slow to jump.
Race 6	St Kilda Veterinary Centre Sprint - C1 - 310	ELITE BLUEBLOOD (2) - checked outwards off heels final turn. DOUBLE QUEENIE (4) - tightened back straight losing ground. Held up on bend losing momentum. CHICAGO HEAD (5) - tightened back straight losing ground then ran outwards into bend. Held up on bend losing momentum. OPAL NORA (7) - pushed very wide into bend losing ground then had heels clipped by HOMEBUSH MACHO. HOMEBUSH MACHO (8) - pushed wide by CHICAGO HEAD into bend and got on heels of OPAL NORA.
