Palmerston North GRC - 3 May 2021

1) Following the investigation into the scratching of TUFF DYNAMO trainer Mr. B Mitchell has been issued with a Minor Infringement Notice in that he scratched TUFF DYNAMO without valid reason pursuant with Rule 40.3. A fine of $150 was imposed.

Shouldered GOTCHA LARA nearing the bend. FEEL THE CHARM (3) - contacted from behind at the start. Contacted shortly after the start, then buffeted VEGAS CHOPS losing some ground. Shouldered GOTCHA LARA entering the bend. Coursed wide through the latter stages of the bend. AL'S CASINO (4) - bumped at the start, in turn contacting FEEL THE CHARM from behind. Awkwardly placed on heels shortly after the start losing momentum. VEGAS CHOPS (5) - began awkwardly bumping AL'S CASINO at the start. Buffeted FEEL THE CHARM shortly after the start. GOTCHA LARA (7) - shouldered TINY TAYLEE nearing the bend becoming very unbalanced and almost falling. Shouldered FEEL THE CHARM entering the bend, again becoming unbalanced and losing ground. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed swelling at base of left hind metartarsals. HARDCORE BART (8) - slow away. Raced wide through the home straight.
Race 2	LASER PLUMBING C0 - C0 - 520	WAITING GAME (1) - raced wide through the back and home straights. BIG TIME TASTY (2) - contacted from behind at the start. BIG TIME BERT (3) - began awkwardly contacting BIG TIME TASTY from behind at the start. BIG TIME CLOVER (4) - moved up the track shortly after the start bumping TUFF DYNAMO. Bumped TUFF DYNAMO entering the back straight. Tightened entering the final bend, going back on to and inconveniencing ADOBE BROOKE. TUFF DYNAMO (5) - received bumps from runners to her inside and outside shortly after the start. Bumped entering the back straight. Tightened BIG TIME CLOVER entering the final bend. ADOBE BROOKE (8) - bumped TUFF DYNAMO shortly after the start. Inconvenienced entering the final bend, losing some ground.
Race 3	LANCE GREEN ACCOUNTANT C1 - C1 - 305	SUMMER GLEE (1) - boxed first. SMALL BOY (3) - slow away. Contacted from behind nearing the winning post. HOMEBUSH MILLIE (5) - began awkwardly. CITIZEN ZAGREB (7) - bumped on the point of the bend losing some ground. Contacted SMALL BOY from behind nearing the winning post. STRIKE IT RICH (9/8) - bumped CITIZEN ZAGREB on the point of the bend. Raced wide through the home straight.
Race 4	KERNOW CONSTRUCTION C0 FINAL - C0f - 305	AHUROA LADY (1) - squeezed PACHINKO at the start. Buffeted shortly after the start losing ground. Raced wide through the bend and home straight. PACHINKO (2) - boxed first. Squeezed between runners at the start. Bumped shortly after the start, then buffeted AHUROA LADY. Contacted from behind entering the bend becoming unbalanced and bumping and squeezing OSCAR'S REALITY. Raced wide through the latter stages of the home straight. HARDCORE PIG (3) - bumped at the start, then squeezed PACHINKO. Unbalanced shortly after and contacted AL'S LOADED. Bumped and squeezed entering the bend. ALLEGRO GRACIE (4) - bumped HARDCORE PIG at the start. Awkwardly placed behind runners shortly after the start losing ground. OSCAR'S REALITY (5) - began awkwardly. Squeezed PACHINKO entering the bend, then unbalanced and lost ground appearing to contact the rail on the point of the bend. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed sprained left wrist. AL'S LOADED (6) - bumped HARDCORE PIG at the start. Coursed wide entering the home straight. BLUEY (8) - slow away.
Race 5	WWW.RACINGTIPS.CO.NZ C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH COOL (2) - began awkwardly contacting TELLTALE SIGNS at the start. TELLTALE SIGNS (3) - contacted at the start. Moved up the track shortly after the start squeezing SPOOK and dictating CLANSMAN DOUGLAS wider on the track nearing the bend. Coursed wide through the bend. SPOOK (5) - slow away, then squeezed between runners shortly after the start when attempting to make ground. AGENT AMY (6) - bumped HARDCORE KYLIE entering the home straight. CLANSMAN DOUGLAS (7) - squeezed SPOOKE shortly after the start. Dictated wider on the track nearing the bend before crossing over heels toward the rail entering the bend. HARDCORE KYLIE (8) - bumped entering the home straight.
Race 6	ACCELL "LEADING THE WAY IN CANINE THERAPY" C1 - C1 - 305	ALLEGRO MOSES (1) - began awkwardly brushing FATHER LEO at the start. FATHER LEO (2) - brushed ALLEGRO MOSES at the start. KINA MAGIC (5) - coursed wide through the bend dictating the running line of CHOICE SISTER. TARANAKI BRIE (6) - bumped CHOICE SISTER at the start. Drifted out of contention nearing the bend with a post race veterinary examination being carried out which revealed a gracilis muscle injury. CHOICE SISTER (7) - bumped at the start. Had running line dictated through the bend and obliged to race wide as a result.
Race 7	PRESIDENT STAKES C1 - C1 - 520	BIG TIME GINA (3) - moved up the track nearing the winning post on the first occasion and was contacted from behind. Bumped BIG TIME ATOMIC entering the first bend. Bumped BIGTIME AVA entering the first bend becoming unbalanced and losing ground. BIGTIME AVA (4) - contacted from behind at the start. Bumped entering the first bend. Checked BIG TIME MASON entering the back straight. ALLEGRO PEACHES (5) - tightened BIG TIME DIOR entering the first bend when crossing to the lead. BIG TIME ATOMIC (6) - slow away. Contacted BIGTIME AVA from behind at the start. Contacted BIG TIME GINA from behind nearing the winning post on the first occasion. Bumped entering the first bend. Tightened BIG TIME DIOR and BIG TIME MASON nearing the back straight. BIG TIME MASON (7) - tightened nearing the back straight, then checked entering the back straight, stumbling and almost falling. Race 8	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C2 - C2 - 305	ELITE BUBBLE (2) - moved up the track at the start bumping HOMBUSH YURI. Jostled, briefly, with HOMEBUSH YURI shortly after the start. HOMEBUSH YURI (3) - bumped at the start, in turn bumped BIG TIME YONKERS. Jostled, briefly, with ELITE BUBBLE shortly after the start eventually losing ground nearing the bend. Checked on the point of the bend when racing towards the rear. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries. BIG TIME YONKERS (4) - bumped at the start. SHOT OF CLASS (6) - slow away. BAILEY AND CREAM (7) - raced wide through the bend and early stages of home straight. PARADOX PRINCE (8) - went up with the lids and settled at the rear of the field. Checked HOMEBUSH YURI on the point of the bend.
Race 9	ACCELL "LEADING THE WAY IN CANINE THERAPY" C2 - C2 - 305	SO SEVERE (3) - brushed MISTER BOOZE at the start. ZIPPING LUTHER (4) - bumped shortly after the start. Raced wide through the bend. AHUROA PRINCESS (6) - bumped ZIPPING LUTHER shortly after the start. Tightened on the point of the bend losing ground. MILO TONIGHT (7) - contacted nearing the bend, then tightened entering the bend losing some ground. Awkwardly placed on heels on the point of the bend needing to move up the track to gain clear racing room. PRETTY BELINDA (8) - contacted MILO TONIGHT nearing the bend. Race 11	LASER PLUMBING C1 - C1 - 305	GO GREAT (1) - tightened entering the bend losing ground. Appeared to contact the rail nearing the home straight. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed pain to the top of the right side shoulder. ALLEGRO VEY (2) - tightened GO GREAT entering the bend. Tightened nearing the home straight. MOTHER'S TOUCH (3) - moved up the track shortly after the start bumping and dictating MITHCAM NIKORIMA wider as a result. Raced wide for the majority of the event. HOMEBUSH FUDGE (4) - slow away. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend, losing momentum as a result. HARDCORE BRUTE (5) - brushed MITCHAM NIKORIMA shortly after the start. Awkwardly placed behind runners on the point of the bend needing to move up the track to gain clear racing room. MITCHAM NIKORIMA (7) - brushed AHUROA WHIZZ at the start. Brushed HARDCORE BRUTE shortly after the start, then bumped and dictated wider by MOTHER'S TOUCH.
