1) The new scales were in use today with no issues reported.

Race 1 | greyhoundtips.co.nz C0 - C0 - 457 | BIG TIME CLOVER (2) - contact and unbalanced for a stride or so racing from the start. Settled back and angled extremely wide becoming unbalanced racing into the home straight and to the line. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. BIG TIME AUBREY (3) - severely tightened going back being contacted and going sideways. BIG TIME PANDA (4) - fav- angled across from the jump tightening runners to his inner momentarily. WAITING GAME (6) - dictated across from the jump and was pushed across onto BIG TIME AUBREY. She was further jostled as EFFORTLESS RUN angled in on too her nearing the bend. EFFORTLESS RUN (7) - angled inwards from the jump dictating and pushing WAITING GAME inwards. Soon after she angled inwards and jostled with WAITING GAME just short of entering the bend. |
Race 2 | J P Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 410 | BOUND UP (1) - tightened and checked losing momentum and ground entering the bend , she then was hampered when looking to clear heels for several strides. JUST LIKE LUCY (4) - awkwardly away for a stride or so. Crowded and jostled between runners entering the bend for some strides. Angled out across heels on the home turn racing widest in the run to the line. POP FLASH (5) - awkwardly away out of the boxes and was checked as BIG TIME PAISLY angled across her line. Crowded between runners for some strides racing into and onto the top bend. BIG TIME PAISLEY (6) - angled across sharply from the jump. Slight contact soon after. Crowded and jostled between runners entering the bend and was unable to make ground thereafter. BIG TIME DIOR (7) - led into the bend drifting wider in the run towards the home turn where she ran wider becoming placed as they turned in. HOMEBUSH VASSY (8) - dictated wide and jostled with inner runners entering the bend. |
Race 3 | Paul Claridge Electrical C1/C2 - C1/2 - 410 | JACK MARJEN (1) - fav- raced handy on the inner tightened and checked turning in losing momentum and ground. She was contacted again unbalanced for a stride or so in the latter stages. ADOBE GIRL (2) - dwelt at the jump. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend, then crowded between runners for some strides in the run across the top bend. On the home turn she angled out across heels becoming unbalanced for a couple of strides as she ran wide. DOUBLE QUEENIE (6) - soon after the start she was dictated and tightened across coming back off heels and hindquarters losing momentum back to the rear entering the bend. She was unable to make ground thereafter. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. SLIPPERY SUZIE (7) - racing handy entering the home straight and was hampered as HOMEBUSH SHOWOFF angled inwards tighteneing her between runners. |
Race 4 | Bigtime Paddy at Stud C4/C5 - C4/5 - 410 | SO EXCITED (1) - away well, soon after he was tightened in onto heels checking for a stride or so. Racing onto the top bend he was forced to check again as FREEDOM LEAGUE angled across his line and was jostled as he went back towards the rear and was unable to make ground thereafter. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. BIG TIME FUZZ (2) - fav- angled across the face of SO EXCITED entering the bend. FREEDOM LEAGUE (3) - hampered racing from the start as BIG TIME JEWEL angled in across her line causing her to duck out across heels into the shoulder of LIFE IS GOOD. LIFE IS GOOD (4) - contact soon after start as FREEMDOM LEAGUE came out, he was then tightened and jostled for some strides as they entered the bend. BIG TIME SMILE (6) - tightened and jostled between runners for some strides in the run into the bend and was forced back off heels losing momentum and ground. BIG TIME HAZEL (7) - severely tightened between runners entering the bend losing momentum and ground. BEES AND BIRDS (8) - angled into the bend causing severe tightening to BIG TIME HAZEL and BIG TIME SMILE as they entered the bend. He was forced to race widest thereafter as he attempted to make ground. |
Race 5 | Total Bodyshop Supplies C3/C4 - C3/4 - 410 | The TAB requested a 1 minute delay to this race. BIG TIME DOMINO (1) - fav- crowded into the bend catching the hind of BIG TIME MAPLE and was hampered for some distance when looking to clear heels. BIG TIME LEBRON (4) - went up as the lids lifted. settled back angled wide over heels into the bend. BIG TIME MAPLE (5) - unbalanced for a stride as she came of of the boxes. RUNNING FREER (6) - into the lead entering the bend and was never headed. When questioned into the turn around in form Trainer L Olden could offer no explanation. IT'S A LAUGH (9/3) - dictated outwards for a couple of strides as ZAMAH came out over heels. |
Race 6 | PNGRC Sectional Times @ pngreyhounds.kiwi C1 - C1 - 457 | This race started 2 minutes behind the scheduled time due to TAB request in race 6. SWEENEY TODD (1) - awkwardly away from the jump and was last into stride by several lengths. HOMEBUSH SURGEON (8) - raced wide throughout covering an amount of extra ground in the running. |
Race 7 | Red Snapper Seafoods, Christchurch C2 - C2 - 410 | MY BENTLEY (3) - contact in the hindquarters for a couple of strides entering the bend. BIG TIME TED (4) - fav- dwelt at the jump and was slow into stride. Soon after he was contacted in the shoulder and forced inwards for some strides entering the bend. Once in the clear he made good ground to the line. ZIPPING LUTHER (5) - contact soon after the start and went access onto BIG TIME TED bumping and jostling with this runner for some strides. THRILLING SAMSON (6) - angled across soon after the start , angled inwards into the bend and was awkwardly placed on the hind of MY BENTLEY for a couple of strides. BIG TIME HARRY (7) - raced widest throughout covering a fair amount of extra ground in the running. |
Race 8 | Big Barrel Palmerston North C2/C3 - C2/3 - 457 | FEDERAL FEAR (2) - dwelt at the jump. Made ground along the inner into the bend and was clipped from behind losing some momentum for a couple of strides. STAY CONNECTED (3) - crowded in the midfield in the run towards the bend catching heels and stumbled for a stride or so. BIG TIME SETH (4) - crowded racing from the start . Severely checked entering the bend when having to gallop over a falling runner. He lost momentum and ground finishing onto the lure .Was assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. SILENT DISMISSAL (5) - jostled back soon after the start when coming out onto BIG TIME ATOMIC, soon after was severely crowded and fell entering the bend. He recovered to his paws to finish onto the lure . was assessed by the vet and was found to have pain over left hind whip muscle. BIG TIME ATOMIC (8) - fav- bumped with SILENT DISMISSAL in the run towards the bend, he then forced his way across between runners severely tightening runners in behind. |
Race 9 | Outback Trading Company C4/C5 - C4/5 - 457 | MURMUR (2) - settled in the midfield. Ran onto heels checking and colliding with BROKE BAD as they ran towards the top bend, he was unable to get into contention thereafter. ALLEGRO NIXON (3) - vying for the lead entering the bend when tightened and jostled for some strides ,he was the clipped from behind and lost his footing losing momentum back towards the rear . CUMBRIA LAD (4) - vying for the lead when crowded and jostled between runners entering the bend . Racing across the top bend he came back off heels losing ground as ALLEGRO NIXON took his line. THRILLING BRAX (5) - tightened and jostled for some strides entering the bend BROKE BRAD (6) - settled back in the early stages. Angled out wide entering the bend and was checked when colliding with MURMUR as the raced towards the top bend. BIG TIME PLUTO (7) - angled across into the bend tightening runners to her inner for some strides. THRILLING MURPHY (8) - forced to race wide into the bend. Made good ground around checking runners in the run across the top bend. RAPID FIRE (9/1) - racing midfield on the inner entering the bend and was tightened for some strides before clearing runners to improve. |
