This meeting was run under Level 2 Government restrictions and Greyhound Racing New Zealand Work Safe Covid-19 protocols.

Wanganui GRC - 22 September 2021

1) Trainer J McInerney was fined $100 by the Adjudicative Committee when failing to scratch HOMEBUSH VASSY by 7.30am thus constituting a late scratching with no reserve dog denied a start, this being the kennel's fourth offence under Rule 40.1.
2) Trainer J McInerney was fined $100 by the Adjudicative Committee when failing to scratch PUNCH ON SCOOBY by 7.30am thus constituting a late scratching with no reserve dog denied a start, this being the kennel's fifth offence under Rule 40.1 (the full written decision of both breaches can be found on the RIB website - rib.org.nz).

Race 1	greyhoundtips.co.nz C1 - C1 - 457	BIG TIME HAUTU (4) - awkwardly placed on heels for a couple of strides entering the bend. BIG TIME DORY (6) - checked and lost a length or two entering the bend. CRISPY CHICKEN (8) - fav- slow to jump and slow into stride. Settled back attempted to make ground widest across the top checking out across heels bend battled to the line .Referred to the vet and cleared of injury.
Race 2	Greyhound As Pets C1 - C1 - 457	BIG TIME RYDER (3) - fav- began awkwardly and was slow into stride. Checked inwards across heels improved along the inner. BIG TIME CHASE (5) - slow into stride raced towards the rear throughout. BIG TIME CLOVER (7) - ran wide into the bend. EDDIE EVEREST (8) - raced widest from the boxes to the line covering a fair amount of extra ground during the running.
Race 3	Creative Catering C2 - C2 - 457	BIGTIME AVA (3) - settled back in the running slightly hampered for a stride or so on the home turn. BATTLE CRUISER (8) - was unsettled in the boxes as the lids lifted and was awkwardly away for a stride or so, and was dictated to stay wide for some strides in the run towards the bend. He raced widest around the bend finishing in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet and found to have bruising on the left side triangle muscle with a 10 day stand down recommended.
Race 4	J P Print, Petone C3/C4 - C3/4 - 457	RAPID FIRE (1) - began awkwardly and was slow into stride. Checked soon after and was forced to abruptly check outwards across heels into the bend losing momentum and ground. Referred to the vet and cleared of injury. BROKE BRAD (3) - bumped and pushed inwards racing from the start for several strides then came back off heels bumping with MUSTANG CHARLIE. He then came together with BIG TIME HARPER jostling for some strides racing into the bend. MUSTANG CHARLIE (4) - fav- slow to jump then checked as BIG TIME REWARD angled across his line. Entering the bend he pushed his way through between runners into the lead. BIG TIME REWARD (5) - angled inwards sharply from the jump checking runners to his inner. Checked entering the bend losing momentum and ground back towards the rear. Referred to the vet and cleared of injury. THRILLING MAPLE (6) - bumped racing off the mats as BIG TIME HARPER and unbalanced for a couple of strides. Hampered entering the bend for a stride or so. BIG TIME HARPER (7) - ran into THRILLING MAPLE racing off the mats. She was hampered when jostling with BROKE BAD for some strides entering the bend.
Race 5	Big Barrel Palmerston North C5 - C5 - 457	DAPPER RAPPER (1) - began awkwardly on leaving the boxes. Looked to improve onto the top bend and was momentarily held up clearing heels. Hampered nearing the home turn when clearing the hind of BIGTIME COOPER and abruptly checking out over heels turn in. CASH STACK (4) - bumped soon after the start was able to keep his ground. BIG TIME PLUTO (5) - tightened and jostled soon after the start as BIG TIME MAC ran inwards. Angled wide into the bend. bumped on the home turn as DAPPER RAPPER checked outwards. BIG TIME MAC (6) - ran inwards from the jump tightening runners to his inner. Came back off heels on the top bend losing ground.
Race 6	Speed Legend at Stud C1 - C1 - 410	BIG TIME PORSCHE (2) - soon after the start she angled out across heels to race widest into the bend. AL'S WITCH (3) - attempted to angle outwards in the run towards the bend and was crowded and held in between runners. She went back out over heels to race wide into the bend. BIG TIME MAY (4) - hampered for some strides in the run to the bend as AL'S WITCH attempted to push outwards. She was able to hold her ground. JACK MARJEN (6) - clipped from behind entering the bend for a stride or so. ALLEGRO ZAC (7) - fav- began awkwardly and was last into stride by several lengths. Made good ground up along the inner across the top bend to the line.
Race 7	Allegro Gun At Stud C1 - C1 - 410	BIG TIME MELODY (1) - went up with the lids and was awkwardly in the initial stages Forced to check off heels and ran wide into the bend losing ground. ALFIE DAMAN (2) - soon after the start he was pressured inwards and jostled for some strides as BIG TIME POKEMON angled across onto him .He was further hampered when checked and lost ground entering the bend as BIG TIME ADISON angled to the rail. BIG TIME POKEMON (4) - angled inwards soon after the start jostling with ALFIE DAMAN for some strides. Came back off heels in the run across the top bend losing some momentum. MOTHER'S TOUCH (5) - bumped racing from the start was bumped as BIG TIME ADISON ran inwards BIG TIME ADISON (6) - ran inwards from the jump bumping into MOTHER'S TOUCH and was then tightened onto this runner as ALLEGRO MOSES angled inwards. She then angled inwards between runners and was clipped for a stride entering the bend. ALLEGRO MOSES (7) - angled inwards soon after the start tightening in onto BIG TIME ADISON. SHOT OF CLASS (8) - began awkwardly and was last into stride.
Race 8	Total Bodyshop Supplies C5 - C5 - 410	BIG TIME ANGEL (2) - went up in the boxes as the lids lifted and was unbalanced for a stride or so. Tightened and checked back from between runners just short of the line. POWER BOOM (3) - fav- racing handy when tightened and crowded into the bend checking out over heels losing momentum and ground. Angled inwards in the latter stages tightening and checking BIG TIME ANGEL. SO EXCITED (4) - contact soon after the start. Changed ground outwards to improve angled inwards into the bend in onto POWER BOOM and was forced to check out across heels as BIG TIME VERCASE angled inwards. BIGTIME BRODY (5) - hampered entering the bend when crowded and forced to check back off hindquarters. hampered short of the line as POWER BOOM angled inwards. PORTELLI PUNK (6) - began awkwardly. Settled back and wide .Dictated to race widest into the bend. BIG TIME VERSACE (8) - improving wide then angled inwards into the bend tightening following runners.
Race 9	Outback Trading Company C4 - C4 - 410	BIG TIME MAPLE (1) - tightened and crowded entering the bend being tightened back off heels losing momentum and ground back towards the rear. She was checked on the top bend as ALLEGRO KYLE angled down towards the rail. BIG TIME KATY (3) - racing handy when dictated and crowded entering the bend checking back off heels losing momentum and ground. BIG TIME GWYN (4) - angled into the bend crowding and tightening runners to her inner. SCREAMING VIKING (5) - pushed inwards entering the bend going back and checking out abruptly over heels bumping DENUTO pushing this runner wide. DENUTO (7) - slow away. pushed and dictated wide into the bend. Made ground to the home turn unable to finish onto the line. ALLEGRO KYLE (8) - hampered entering the bend when contacted in the hindquarters. He angled inwards on the top bend running into and checking with BIG TIME MAPLE.
Race 10	Red Snapper Seafoods, Christchurch C2/C3 - C2/3 - 410	BIG TIME PAISLEY (1) - began awkwardly for a stride or so. BIG TIME HARRY (5) - fav- went up as the lids lifted and was slow into stride. Crowded between runners and checked racing onto the top bend and raced extremely wide into the home straight making ground to the line. BIG TIME ZINGER (6) - bumped racing from the start as ALLEGRO BERKLEY. ALLEGRO BERKLEY (7) - began awkwardly and ran in onto BIG TIME ZINGER. Racing to the top bend he ran onto heels and was forced to check wide. TIGER CHURN (8) - awkwardly placed and was unbalanced for some strides in the run onto the top bend when coming together with BIG TIME HARRY.
Race 11	Greyhound As Pets C2/C3 - C2/3 - 410	YESENIA (2) - tightened and crowded and forced back into the bend losing momentum and ground. BUTTER CHURN (4) - led out and was bumped and jostled for some strides as TRUTH HURTS came inwards for some strides. JUST LIKE LUCY (5) - checked and angled across heels racing from the start and jostled with BIG TIME LEBRON for some strides and checked entering the bend. TRUTH HURTS (6) - began awkwardly for a stride or so recovered quickly to vie for the lead in the run towards the bend pushing in onto BUTTER CHURN and was unbalanced entering the bend coming together with BIG TIME LEBRON for a couple of strides. Soon after she came back off heels losing momentum and ground. BIG TIME LEBRON (7) - fav- angled across in the run to the bend jostling with JUST LIKE LUCY and was pushed in onto her entering the bend as MY KHOLE angled across he became unbalanced being pushed wide into the bend and was forced to race wide when improving and made good ground to the line. MY KHLOE (8) - attempted to angle inwards into the bend contacting the hind of BIG TIME LEBRON and went sideways being unbalanced losing momentum and ground.
Race 12	Paul Claridge Electrical C2 - C2 - 410	AL'S LOADED (1) - crowded and jostled entering the bend for a few strides. ALLEGRO KAIRO (2) - in the run to the bend she was tightened and crowded for some strides. OPAWA LYNDSAY (3) - crowded and tightened back entering the bend losing momentum and ground. JILLIBY SOPHIA (4) - severely tightened and crowded entering the bend being checked and bumped outwards contacting BIG TIME QUINN .He lost momentum and ground making good ground thereafter to the line. BIG TIME QUINN (5) - settled back in the run towards the bend and was bumped outwards stumbling and fell into the line of BIG TIME SCOOTER. He contacted the soft padding on the outside fence and was quickly back onto his paws to finish onto the lure and was referred to the vet and has minor grazing to her feet . A 5 day stand down was imposed as per the fall in race policy. JOHNY MOWHAWK (6) - led into the bend .Hampered into the home straight as TUFF TIGER lay in for several strides and weakened in the latter stages to the line. TUFF TIGER (7) - angled inwards towards the lead into the bend causing severe tightening and crowding to several runners entering the bend. BIG TIME SCOOTER (8) - bumped with TUFF TIGER soon after the start. He settled back and was checked and fell entering the bend. He very quickly recovered to his paws to finish onto the lure and was referred to the vet and was found to have a couple of minor abrasions to the mouth area. A 5 day stand own was imposed as per the fall in race policy.
