This meeting was run under Level 2 Government restrictions and Greyhound Racing New Zealand Work Safe Covid-19 protocols.

Trials.

1) SADOWSKI & CHECKPOINT both completed a requalifying trial.

Injury Trials Required:

1) FLIP IT (J McInerney).
2) WITH BATTER (C Morris).
3) PLISKOVA (S Hunt).

General:

1) Stewards were advised mid-way through the meeting that BIG TIME FAIRY(L Cole) had possibly suffered an injury while competing in a pre-race meeting trial with kennel representatives having the veterinarian examine her and found to have a possible fractured metatarsal in her right front foot with x-rays recommended to confirm. Stewards will follow up with the kennel in the coming days.

2 ) Race 4 was delayed by 5 minutes due to a technical fault with the head on camera from 645m the start.
The rest of the races ran on time for the remainder of the program.

3 ( The race meeting was abandoned after the running of race nine due to the changing track conditions with persistent rain falling.
A runner slipped and faltered nearing the home bend clear of other runners and another runner had slipped as it rebalanced entering the bend.
The Stewards, On course Veterinarian and Track curator assessed the state of the track and after consultation agreed that remedial work could not be carried out in a timely manner.

Race 1	WELCOME TO HATRICK C0 HT1 - C0q - 305 Heat 1	BIG TIME LAD (2) - fav- handy on the inner when forced to check .Could not improve to the line. COILED SPRING (4) - angled across the line of BIG TIME LAD entering the bend. FLIP IT (5) - awkwardly away and appeared awkward in her action thereafter. Referred to the vet and found to have swelling in left achilles tendon and injured hock with x-rays required to confirm, requiring a 63 day stand down. Required to complete an injury trial. HARRY HOME (6) - went up in the boxes as the lids lifted .Angled inwards in the run to the bend and ran wide to avoid heels. HARDCORE LISA (7) - angled into the bend hampering BIG TIME LAD as she crossed his line.
Race 2	PEARSONS FARMS C0 Ht2 - C0q - 305 Heat 2	MIDNIGHT MOO (2) - ran out sharply from the jump running into OSCAR'S REALITY. She then angled back down to the rail WITH BATTER (3) - went up high in the boxes as the lids lifted. Was quickly into stride running in then angling outwards being severely tightened as she was pressured inwards between runners catching the hind of HARDCORE PIG and falling to the track. She recovered to her paws but did not finish the race and was referred to the vet and found to have fractured left radius/ulna requiring a 63 day stand down. Required to complete an injury trial. FEEL THE MADNESS (4) - racing towards the bend she was jostled between runners as she attempted to angle outwards. She was severely tightened into the bend losing all chance thereafter. OSCAR'S REALITY (5) - dwelt at the jump and was checked soon after losing momentum when coming together with MIDNIGHT MOO. HARDCORE PIG (6) - angled across in the run towards the bend and was pressured inwards causing tightening and jostling to runners to his inner for some strides. Entering the bend WITH BATTER to his inner being severely tightened caught her hind leg in between the hind leg of HARDCORE PIG causing him to lose momentum and ground. EXPRESS WAY (8) - angled across in the run to the bend pressuring HARDCORE PIG in onto runners for some strides.
Race 3	LANCE GREEN ACCOUNTANT C0 - C0 - 520	DELPHI'S ACE (1) - bumped soon after the start . Racing to the post on the first occasion he was forced to check hard as ALLEGRO ROBBIE cut in across his line. Racing into the back straight he was checked and lost ground as BIG TIME SEATTLE angled in across his line. FLASHBACK FRED (3) - dwelt at the jump. Angled outwards entering the first turn and was unable to make ground thereafter. BIG TIME STUNNER (4) - contact with JOAN JET racing from the start. JOAN JET (5) - began awkwardly contacting BIG TIME STUNNER coming off the mats. She settled back racing wide into the first turn. Angled down to the rail into the back straight and made very good ground to the line thereafter. BIG TIME SEATTLE (6) - contacted the hind of ALLEGRO ROBBIE in the run into the first turn going out onto SUPER GOLD. racing into the back straight he angled in across the line of DELPHI'S ACE. SUPER GOLD (8) - vied for the lead wider out entering the first turn jostling for some strides with BIG TIME SEATTLE to his inner. Checked in the run along the back straight losing ground. Presented to the vet later in the meeting and has a torn longhead triceps muscle injury .A 28 day stand down was recommended.
Race 4	KERNOW CONSTRUCTION C1 D Feature - C1d - 645	There was a 5 minute delay to this race due to technical issues with the head on camera. BIG TIME TASTY (3) - contact between runners on the home turn.
Race 5	WWW.RACINGTIPS.CO.NZ C2 - C2 - 305	PORCELAIN PANDA (1) - in the run to the bend he attempted to push outwards and was pushed back inwards as ALLEGRO ZAC angled inwards forcing BIG TIME ZINGER in onto his hindquarters .He became unbalanced losing momentum back towards the rear and was unable to improve to the line. Referred to the vet and has bruising to right semimembranosus. A 7 day stand down was recommended. BIG TIME ZINGER (3) - slow away. In the run towards the bend he was severely tightened between runners ,stumbling and becoming unbalanced as he went back .He lost all chance thereafter finishing in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet and cleared of injury. ALLEGRO ZAC (5) - angled across in the run to the bend causing severe tightening to BIG TIME ZINGER and PORCELAIN PANDA. OPAWA LYNDSAY (8) - slow away. Made good ground wide around the bend to the line.
Race 6	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C2 - C2 - 305	PAVING WAY (2) - angled outwards from the jump and was pushed back inwards being jostled for some distance into the bend. he was able to get to the outer entering the bend racing wide thereafter. YARN SISTER (3) - tightened between runners coming off the mats being further tightened and jostled for some strides and forced back as they entered the bend. JOHNY MOWHAWK (4) - angled across from the jump tightening in onto YARN SISTER. He was forced back onto heels and lost momentum entering the bend. ALLEGRO KAIRO (6) - in the run towards the bend he angled in onto JOHNNY MOHAWK jostling then was pushed inwards onto this runner as BIG TIME HAUTU. He was severely tightened and checked coming back off heels entering the bend racing wide. BIG TIME HAUTU (7) - in the run towards the bend he was bumped and jostled for some strides as ALLEGRO KAIRO was pushed outwards. He then angled inwards entering the bend causing severe tightening to several runners .
Race 7	ACCELL "LEADING THE WAY IN CANINE THERAPY" C1 - C1 - 520	BIG TIME REHAN (2) - bumped and checked back in the run towards the first turn as BIG TIME RIDGE angled across to the rail. BIG TIME JARRED (4) - hampered soon after the start as BIG TIME CHERRY angled in across his line. BIG TIME CHERRY (5) - soon after the start she angled across the line of BIG TIME JARRED.
Race 8	HATRICK DASH C1 - C1 - 305	AHUROA WHIZZ (2) - tightened in the run towards the home turn and came back off heels as BIG TIME NOAH angled in across her line. OPAWA JODY (3) - hampered entering the bend as HIGHVIEW TIGER crossed his line to the rail. HIGHVIEW TIGGER (4) - angled across the line of OPAWA JODY entering the bend. BIG TIME NORA (5) - forced to check back off heels racing onto the top bend then came back off the heels of HOMEBUSH FURY in the run across the top bend. BIG TIME NOAH (6) - hampered entering the bend when jostling with OPAWA JODY for some strides. In the run towards the home turn he checked AHUROA WHIZZ as he angled down to the rail. ALAMEIN BEAUDEN (8) - went up in the boxes as the lids lifted and was slow into stride by several lengths. he made good ground thereafter to the line.
Race 9	LANCE GREEN ACCOUNTANT C1 - C1 - 305	GOTCHA MAX (1) - racing across the top bend he ran onto hindquarters checking over back over the heels of CITIZEN AQUERO losing momentum and ground. ARIANA SUNSET (3) - contact on the hind in the run across the top bend. ALLEGRO MOSES (4) - tightened on the inner entering the bend as VEGAS CHOPS across her line to the rail. CITIZEN AGUERO (5) - hampered for some strides when looking to clear hindquarters in the run into the bend. Ran into the hind of ARIANA SUNSET across the top bend VEGAS CHOPS (6) - angled in across the line of ALLEGRO MOSES entering the bend and was then checked when running into tight quarters and slipped in behind when attempting to balance up. PLISKOVA (9/8) - slight contact in the hindquarters entering the bend . Settled handy in the run onto the top bend nearing the home turn she faltered and slipped clear of interference finishing on past the line and was referred to the vet .She was found to have a hock fracture to the right hind. A splint was applied with the vet giving pain relief and the dog was referred on for further treatment A 90 day stand down was recommended.
