This meeting was run under Level 2 Government restrictions and Greyhound Racing New Zealand Work Safe Covid-19 protocols.

Supplementary report.

Palmerston North GRC meeting on 1-11-2021.

1) After a review by the Stewards into the failing to purse imposed on the greyhound WONDER in race 8, the stand down imposed has been rescinded.
WONDER is clear to be nominated as from 1-11-2021.

Vet checks.

1) BIG TIME CRUSADE race 7 & BIG TIME EILISH race 12 were both called for vet checks post race. Due to communication errors, these were not carried out.
Trainers L Cole & C Brider have been advised and the stewards will follow up in the coming days.

Injury trial required.

1) BIG TIME BLAZIN' ( L Cole ).

Race 1	greyhoundtips.co.nz C0 - C0 - 457	BIG TIME PACKER (1) - fav- contact soon after the start and unbalanced as BIG TIME MASTER ran across onto him. He lost momentum and ground settling in the midfield thereafter. LOSING DAYS (3) - soon after the start he was checked as JOAN JET angled across contacting her hindquarters unbalancing him for a couple of strides. Racing into the bend he was force to abruptly check out over heels as AROHANUI MARINE angled in across his line. BIG TIME MASTER (4) - ran inwards sharply soon after the start bumping into BIG TIME PACKER. AROHANUI MARINE (6) - angled outwards in the run towards the bend then angled into the bend across the line of LOSING DAYS. JOAN JET (7) - angled across sharply from the jump running across the hind of LOSING DAYS.
Race 2	Speed Legend At Stud C0 - C0 - 457	RIDGELINE ROCKER (3) - soon after the start he angled outwards to race wide handy to the lead effort told in the run to the line. ALLEGRO ROBBIE (4) - checked soon after the start being bumped and pushed inwards across heels. He lost some momentum. Forced to check when running onto heels in the run across the top bend weakening in the latter stages to the line. Referred to the vet and cleared of injury. BIG TIME DOUBLE (6) - dictated across from the jump bumping into ALLEGRO ROBBIE ALLEGRO DAVID (7) - angled across sharply from the jump running into BIG TIME DOUBLE pushing this runner inwards.
Race 3	Premier Meeting @ Palmerston Nth 457m Heats November 26th C1 - C1 - 457	HIGHVIEW NESS (1) - bumped and jostled for some strides then struck the rail entering the bend losing momentum and ground. Referred to the vet and cleared of injury. BIG TIME STORM (4) - crowded and jostled between runners going in onto HIGHVIEW NESS entering the bend becoming awkwardly placed for a few strides.Referred to the vet and cleared of injury. NOT EVEN OWL (5) - hampered for a couple of strides in the run across the top bend as HIGHVIEW NESS ran onto his heels momentarily. BIG TIME NAVY (6) - angled inwards sharply coming out of the boxes for a stride. ALLEGRO RUBY (7) - bumped into the bend. Settled handy on the inner and checked on the top bend when catching the heels of NOT EVEN OWL. Checked again on the home turn when clipped from behind .Weakened in the run to the line. Referred to the vet and found to have pain in her right sartorius muscle. A 7 day stand down period was recommended.
Race 4	Premier Meeting @ Palmerston Nth 457m $30,000 Final Dec. 3rd C0 - C0 - 410	BIG TIME MYSTIC (1) - in the run to to the bend she was severely tightened contacting the rail losing momentum back to the rear . She ran onto heels on the home turn and was severly checked finishing towards the rear at the line. Referred to the vet and cleared of injury. DRUNKEN LULLABY (2) - from the jump he angled wide out across heels. Hampered across the top bend when held up for some strides. JUMP ELLE (3) - soon after the start she was severely hampered when tightened and checked losing momentum back towards the rear. She was checked again across the top bend as BIG TIME BLAZIN came back on her. She recovered to make good ground to the line. BIG TIME BLAZIN' (4) - racing from the start he was dictated across tightening in onto JUMP ELLE and BIG TIME MYSTIC. He recovered ground to be handy when checked across the top bend going back onto JUMP ELLE then checked again as BIG TIME MYSTIC caught his heels. Referred to the vet and found to have torn his right hind tensor fascia latae. A 42 day stand down period was recommended AL'S CASINO (5) - checked racing from the start as KINETIC JO angled across sharply and was forced to check back from between runners for a couple of strides. BIG TIME FABIO (7) - handy when checked into the bend as ALLEGRO QUEEN angled in across her line. She angled in across the line of BIG TIME BLAZIN in the run across the top bend. ALLEGRO QUEEN (8) - angled into the bend across the line of BIG TIME FABIO. Was referred to the vet and cleared of injury. KINETIC JO (9/6) - from the jump angled hard inwards running into AL'S CASINO then continuing towards the rail causing severe tightening and checks to runners on the inner.
Race 5	Red Snapper Seafoods, Christchurch C0 - C0 - 410	LOVE RACE (2) - severely tightened and crowded entering the bend checking wide losing ground. BIG TIME CLOUD (3) - vying for the lead entering the bend when crowded and jostled losing momentum and ground. EXPRESS WAY (4) - led into the bend where she was severely tightened and crowded as BOBBY DAZZLER angled across. She was unbalanced losing momentum and ground and was unable to get back into contention. ALLEGRO DRAKE (5) - dictated inwards and severely crowded into the bend .Was able to recover into a handy position in the running. FEEL THE MADNESS (6) - severely crowed entering the bend being forced back off heels and was unbalanced losing momentum as she balanced up and was unable to make ground thereafter. BIG TIME ROLEX (7) - angled into the bend and was severely hampered when crowded and checked becoming unbalanced for a couple of strides. He was unable to make ground thereafter. BOBBY DAZZLER (8) - angled into the bend causing severe tightening and crowding to inner runner.
Race 6	Paul Claridge Electrical C0 - C0 - 410	BIG TIME HOTSHOT (1) - forced to angle out across heels into the bend. Soon after he was clipped from behind as ROCK ON ANNIE angled across his heels. Ran onto the hind of BIG TIME HALEY into the home straight checking and losing momentum. ROCK ON ANNIE (4) - fav- in the run towards the bend she jostled with BIG TIME MEG for some strides. Jostled entering the bend running wide and ran onto heels and checked as she angled back inwards. Finished best in the run to the line. BILLIE BRUISER (5) - hampered raking from the start for a couple of strides when clearing the hind of ROCK ON ANNIE. He went back losing momentum and ground. he was unable to make ground thereafter. BIG TIME MEG (9/6) - jostled with ROCK ON ANNIE for some strides in the run to the bend.
Race 7	Outback Trading Company C0 - C0 - 410	BIG TIME CRUSADE (1) - settled in the midfield across the top bend soon after when improving ran onto the hind of runner ahead and was forced to abruptly check almost falling and went back onto BIG TIME HELENA . Lost all chance from there on in. Referred to the vet (refer to Judicial). BIG TIME HELENA (4) - Checked and forced to jump over the hind legs of BIG TIME CRUSADE nearing the home turn losing momentum nad ground. OSCAR'S REALITY (5) - contact in the hindquarters entering the bend becoming awkwardly placed between runners for a couple of strides. LOST IN PACE (8) - contact with the hind of OSCAR'S REALITY entering the bend becoming awkwardly placed for a few strides. Checked out off heels on the home turn racing wide out to the line.
Race 8	Total Bodyshop Supplies Reverse Criteria C1 - C1 - 410	GOTCHA COOPER (1) - in the run towards the bend he was hampered for some strides and lost his position entering bend. BAILEY AND CREAM (3) - hampered racing from the start when crowded between runners and forced to check out over heels losing momentum and several lengths. She was hampered again when contacting the hind of OPAWA MARCIE entering the bend losing more ground. recovered ground in the run to the line. ALAMEIN GRAEME (7) - attempted to angle into the bend and was hampered when clearing the hind of OPAWA MARCIE running wide. OPAWA MARCIE (9/4) - angled across from the jump causing tightening and jostling to inner runners for some strides. KINETIC ANGEL (10/2) - jostled for some strides when arcing handy to the bend. Weakened in the run to the line.
Race 9	Premier Meeting @ Palmerston Nth 410m Heats November 26th C1 - C1 - 410	KINETIC BOW was examined by the vet at pre race presentation when found to have a minor laceration to toe on the right fore with the dog being cleared to start. The payout was delayed while the stewards reviewed footage of the run into the home straight as swarm of wasps swarmed above and towards the outside fence. The Stewards determined that no runners were affected and the payout was authorized. KINETIC BOW (4) - Referred to the vet and cleared of injury. AL'S WITCH (6) - soon after the start she was contatced and pushed sideways as ALLEGRO BRYAN angled across. hampered on the home turn when attempting to improve around the outer of KINETIC BOW. IDOL REIGN (7) - began awkwardly then was bumped as ALLEGRO BRYAN came across. and was further hampered when dictated inwards. hampered again and lost ground into the bend. ALLEGRO BRYAN (8) - soon after the start he angled across running into the side of AL'S WITCH. He became awkwardly placed for a couple of strides entering the bend before crossing to the rail.
Race 10	Premier Meeting @ Palmerston Nth 410m $15,000 Final Dec. 3rd C1 - C1 - 410	DEFER FIRE (1) - fav- settled midfield came back off heels in the run onto the top bend. Battled in the run to the line. TUFF DYNAMO (2) - hampered when crowded into the bend. Soon after when angling out across heels came together with ARIANA SUNSET to her outer on the top bend. STAY CONNECTED (5) - began awkwardly then dictated inwards as BIG TIME JUICY angled across. ARIANA SUNSET (7) - in the run to the bend she was unbalanced when jostled by ALLEGRO MOSES. She angled outwards and was checked and unbalanced again when coming together with TUFF DYNAMO on the top bend. ALLEGRO MOSES (8) - in the run to the bend she attempted to angle across and jostled with ARIANA SUNSET.
Race 11	PNGRC Sectional Times @ pngreyhounds.kiwi C1 - C1 - 410	BIG TIME CARNAGE (1) - attempted to angled outwards racing from the start being checked as she came together with ALLEGRO ENVY jostling with this runner for some strides. OPAWA GRAVEL (2) - went up in the boxes as the lids lifted and was bumped as runners came across. HYPOTHETICAL (3) - crowded and checked racing from the start. ALLEGRO ENVY (4) - angled inwards sharply from the jump running into and checking HYPOTHETICAL and jostled this runner for some strides. PENNY MOWHAWK (6) - checked racing from the start as ALAMEIN SAM angled in across her line. ALAMEIN SAM (7) - racing from the start he angled in across the line of PENNY MOWHAWK. Checked on the home turn when catching the heels of KIOSK. KIOSK (8) - improving in the run into the home straight when hampered for a stride or so as ALAMEIN SAM ran into his hind.
Race 12	Greyhound As Pets C1 - C1 - 410	MOTHER'S TOUCH (2) - jostled with BIG TIME EILISH for a couple of strides in the run to the bend. Raced widest to the line. UNCLE ALBERT (5) - contact racing from the start as CLANSMAN DOUGLAS ran inwards. CLANSMAN DOUGLAS (6) - ran in onto the shoulder of UNCLE ALBERT racing from the start. Contatced by BIG TIME EILISH for a stride or so entering the bend. BIG TIME EILISH (7) - away well initial stages. Contact with MOTHER'S TOUCH into the bend then contact with CLANSMAN DOUGLAS dropping back to a clear last in the running and was unable to improve to the line.Referred to the vet (refer to Judicial).
Race 13	Big Barrel Palmerston North Final C1 - C1f - 410	BIG TIME CHERRY (2) - bumped and jostled with ALLEGRO ZIPPY for some strides in the latter stages of the run to the line. ALLEGRO ZIPPY (4) - hampered for some strides in the latter stages to the line when jostled and unbalanced coming together with BIG TIME CHERRY. SWEENEY TODD (6) - dwelt and was checked racing from the start. He was unbalanced for a stride or so turning into the home straight making ground in the latter stages to the line. ALAMEIN BEAUDEN (7) - ran into SWEENEY TODD racing from the start when angling across. He appeared uncomfortable in his action dipping for a stride in the run across the top bend finishing in the rear at the line. Referred to the vet and cleared of injury.
Race 14	Premier Meeting @ Palmerston Nth 720m Heats November 26th C2 - C2 - 410	CRISPY CHICKEN (1) - came back off heels soon after the start. Soon after he ran on heels and checked becoming unbalanced as he ran wide into the bend and was uncomfortable in his action to the line. Referred to the vet and cleared of injury.
Race 15	Premier Meeting @ Palmerston Nth 720m $15,000 Final Dec. 3rd C2 - C2 - 410	BIG TIME RITA (2) - came together with AL'S LOADED for a stride or so soon after the start. AL'S LOADED (3) - came together with BIG TIME RITA and was unbalanced for a stride or so soon after the start. Angled into the bend becoming awkwardly placed for a couple of strides. BIG TIME HAUTU (5) - checked soon after the start as YARN SISTER angled in across his line. YARN SISTER (6) - soon after the start she angled in across the line of BIG TIME HAUTU and was unbalanced for a stride or so.
