Scales: Correct at all weights.
Health and Safety comment:
Judicial report: General.
1 ) The Stewards checked the scales pre kenneling and were satisfied that the scales were weighing correctly.
During the later kenneling the Stewards were informed that there were discrepancies occurring
The Stewards rechecked the scales and were not satisfied that they were weighing correctly at this point.
Due to this situation arising the Stewards declared that the weights today be made redundant.
The Club were advised and have been proactive in dealing with these issues and have a technician booked to come in next week and recalibrate the scales.
This report as posted is provisional and maybe subject to further change and amendment.

ENGINE ROOM (2) - hampered when contacted from behind in the run around the first turn losing momentum and ground. JUST LIKE LUCY (4) - best away ran wide around the bends held on to the line. STAY CONNECTED (5) - ran onto heels and checked outwards in the run around the first bend. UNCLE ALBERT (7) - fav- raced in tight quarters into the first turn. Hampered soon after as JILLIBY JAC angled across his line to the rail. JILLIBY JAC (8) - Angled in across the line of UNCLE ALBERT in the run around the first turn.Trailed in a handy position in the running weakened in the run to the line. Referred to the vet and cleared of injury. First run over a distance today. |
Race 2 | Paul Claridge Electrical C0 - C0 - 457 | GRASSCUTTER ALEX (1) - bumped soon after the start as BIG TIME PEGGY angled across. Checked into the bend recovering well to keep his position in the running. LOST IN PACE (2) - checked racing from the the start and abruptly checked outwards running into BIG TIME CRUSADE. Checked into the bend and ran wide thereafter. Referred to the vet and cleared of injury. BIG TIME PEGGY (3) - angled inwards racing from the start checking inner runners. Dragged down into the bend losing momentum and ground. Referred to the vet and cleared of injury. BIG TIME CRUSADE (4) - soon after the start he was bumped and pushed outwards when contacted by LOST IN PACE. BIG TIME HAYLEY (5) - fav- in the run towards the bend she checked out wide covering extra ground to the home straight. BIG TIME HELENA (6) - angled across from the jump and bumped with BIG TIME CRUSADE as this runner was checked outwards. BOBBY DAZZLER (7) - early contact after the start. ADOBE BETTY (8) - hampered for a couple of strides in the run towards the bend as BIG TIME HALEY angled wide. When questioned into the turn around in form a longer distance and being drawn wide benefited the greyhound today. |
Race 3 | Red Snapper Seafoods, Christchurch C1 - C1 - 457 | BIG TIME RAFE (2) - crowded into the bend becoming awkwardly placed and lost momentum entering the bend. Soon after bumped with ALLEGRO DRAKE in the run onto the top bend. WONDER WOMEN (3) - fav- contact soon after the start. Soon after moved ground coming together with ALLEGRO DRAKE. Contact into the bend but able to keep a handy position in the running. ALLEGRO DRAKE (6) - soon after the start angled inwards and came together with WONDER WOMAN for a stride or so. Bumped in the run onto the top bend. BIG TIME USAIN (8) - angled into the bend coming together with WONDER WOMAN and was awkwardly placed for a couple of strides. |
Race 4 | Greyhound As Pets C1/C2 - C1/2 - 457 | BIG TIME NAVY (2) - fav- awkwardly away for a stride or so. Hampered when jostling with ALLEGRO ROBBIE for some strides into the bend. BIG TIME BEKIM (3) - began awkwardly out of the boxes. SWEENEY TODD (4) - dwelt and was awkwardly away for a couple of strides. ALLEGRO ROBBIE (6) - angled across in the run to the bend and jostled with BIG TIME NAVY for some strides. ALLEGRO RUBY (8) - referred to the veterinarian and cleared of injury. |
Race 5 | Great Mates Rehoming Programme C3/C4 - C3/4 - 457 | ALLEGRO PIPPA (1) - came back off heels and became awkwardly placed losing some momentum entering the bend. BIG TIME MAPLE (4) - led out in the early stages. Checked and lost momentum into the bend as ALLEGRO GINNY angled inwards and lost ground back into midfield. Unable to improve to the line and was referred to the vet and cleared of injury. RHODES WORTHY (5) - bumped soon after the start as TUFF ADMIRAL angled across. angled over TUFF ADMIRAL (6) - bumped with RHODES WORTHY racing from the start as he angled across. ALLEGRO GINNY (7) - angled across the line of BIG TIME MAPLE entering the bend. DAPPER RAPPER (8) - attempted to angle inwards entering the bend ran wide wide losing ground. |
Race 6 | Big Barrel Palmerston North C5 - C5 - 457 | FREEDOM LEAGUE (1) - shifted up the track in the early stages, bumping BIG TIME KAYLEE. BIG TIME KAYLEE (2) - bumped JILLIBY LISTA down the back straight. XANTHONE (4) - contacted POWER BOOM in the early stages, becoming unbalanced for several strides. POWER BOOM (5) - hampered when tightened between runners in the early stages. BROKE BRAD (7) - contacted POWER BOOM in the early stages. JILLIBY LITSA (8) - shifted down the track along the back straight, bumping BIG TIME KAYLEE |
Race 7 | PNGRC Sectional Times @ pngreyhounds.kiwi C4/C5 - C4/5 - 410 | ENTREE ONLY (1) - away well in initial strides. Went back entering the bend after being hampered as runners crossed inwards to a clear last in the running and was unable to make ground thereafter. Re kenneled for possible conduct referred to the vet and was found to be clear of injury. After further reviewing the film the positioning of the lure on the head on film into the bend was unclear as to the tightening that occurred. ENTREE ONLY was tightened and checked stumbling slightly entering the bend losing momentum and ground with no further action being taken. BIG TIME TASHA (4) - hampered for a couple of strides into the home straight when coming together with BIGTIME BRODY. BIGTIME BRODY (7) - dictated inwards into the bend across the line of ENTREE ONLY. Came together with BIG TIME TASHA for a couple of strides in the home straight. BIG TIME VERSACE (8) - angled into the bend tightening BIGTIME BRODY inwards. |
Race 8 | KiwiKiwi Hounds Adoption C3/C4 - C3/4 - 410 | ROYAL RACCOON (1) - dwelt slightly. Settled in the midfield jostled into the bend lost ground finishing in the rear at the line .Referred to the vet and cleared of injury. BEES AND BIRDS (3) - checked briefly racing from the start as BIGTIME LEO angled in across his line. He then angled outwards dictating THRILLING MAPLE outwards. THRILLING MAPLE (5) - soon after the start she was dictated outwards running into BIG TIME NALA being severely tightened between runners going down briefly on her hindquarters losing momentum and ground. Referred to the vet and cleared of injury. SO LIKE ME (7) - soon after the start she was checked as THRILLING MAPLE was dictated outwards running into his shoulder. He was unbalanced losing some momentum back to the rear as they raced onto the top bend. SCREAMING VIKING (8) - forced to race widest when attempting to make ground around the bend before angling inwards as they raced into the home straight. |
Race 9 | Nightrave Greyhounds Adoption C3/C4 - C3/4 - 410 | SO EXCITED (2) - jostled with BIG TIME KATY for some distance in the run to the bend. He was able to clear this runner in the run onto the top bend. BIG TIME KATY (3) - soon after the start she attempted to angle inwards and jostled with SO EXCITED for some distance in the run to the bend. ADOBE GIRL (5) - dwelt at the jump. Was jostled for some strides in the run around the bend when racing on the inner of DENUTO. MR FARENHEIT (6) - from the jump he angled outwards then inwards into the bend where he was crowded and jostled losing some momentum. Made ground to the line. DENUTO (7) - contact and jostled with MR FARENHEIT when racing between runners in the run onto the top bend. |
Race 10 | Total Bodyshop Supplies C3 - C3 - 410 | BUTTER CHURN (4) - handy in the run towards the bend when bumped and jostled for some strides as OPAWA GYPSY attempted to angle across. BUTTER CHURN once clear of this runner raced handy to the home and was unable to improve to the line. BIG TIME SCOOTER (5) - hampered in the early stages as runners OPAWA GYPSY angled across OPAWA GYPSY (6) - soon after the start she angled in across the line of BIG TIME SCOOTER and ran in onto the shoulder of BUTTER CHURN. BIG TIME RITA (7) - began awkwardly and was slow to recover into stride. Checked off heels and lost some momentum in the run onto the top bend. NUTTY NUTS (8) - dwelt and was last away. Raced wide thereafter. |
Race 11 | Outback Trading Company Final C2 - C2f - 410 | BORN TRIXIE (2) - began awkwardly then was held up as she attempted to angle wide as per her customary racing style racing widest thereafter to the line. BIG TIME STAR (3) - jostled and tightened for some strides in the run into the bend as BIG TIME MUHAMAD attempted to angle to the rail. She lost momentum and ground back to midfield. MY BENTLEY (4) - hampered racing from the start as BIG TIME MUHAMAD angled sharply in across his line. ALLEGRO MADDIE (5) - hampered racing from the start as BIG TIME YONKERS angled in across her line. Improved to race handy onto the top bend and was tightened and checked back from between runners losing ground as they neared the home turn. BIG TIME YONKERS (6) - from the jump he angled across checking ALLEGRO MADDIE. BIG TIME MUHAMAD (7) - soon after the start he angled sharply across checking MY BENTLEY angling further inwards onto BIG TIME STAR jostling this runner for some strides as the entered the bend. |
Race 12 | World's Fastest Couch Potatoes C1 - C1 - 410 | BIG TIME EDDIE (1) - began awkwardly and took some strides to recover. OPAWA JADE (2) - began awkwardly. BIG TIME FAYE (3) - slow away. Tightened and lost ground into the bend. BIG TIME HOTSHOT (4) - attempted to angled outwards from the jump and was pushed back inwards as runners came across. He was hampered for some strides as KIOSK angled inwards into the bend being forced to abruptly check out over the hind of LIBERTY TAKER as he angled in across his line. KIOSK (5) - bumped and jostled in the early stages. Attempted to angle inwards nearing the bend running into the shoulder of BIG TIME HOTSHOT bumping and jostling for some strides and was checked and lost momentum as BIG TIME HOTSHOT was forced to check ahead of him. He lost ground finishing in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet where no abnormalities were found. LIBERTY TAKER (7) - racing from the start he was dictated inwards across heels then checked out wide angling in across the line of BIG TIME HOTSHOT entering the bend being contacted and pushed sideways for a stride or so. |
