GRASSCUTTER JOE (2) - shifted down the track in the early stages, bumping RIDGELINE ROCKER, then angled outwards, colliding with SOCIAL VIRTIGO. Shifted out across the heels of SOCIAL VIRTIGO along the back straight. Jostled with SOCIAL VIRTIGO for a number of strides while rounding the bend. Contacted by HE'S ICONIC while rounding the bend, checked off the heels of SOCIAL VIRTIGO and was galloped on from behind. Shifted down the track and bumped GRASSCUTTER ALEX while exiting the bend. Jostled with GRASSCUTTER ALEX for a number of strides near the finishing post. Was referred to the veterinarian and cleared of injury. GRASSCUTTER ALEX (6) - went up in the boxes when the lids opened and was slow into stride. Contacted HE'S ICONIC from behind in the early stages. Bumped GRASSCUTTER JOE while exiting the bend. Jostled with GRASSCUTTER JOE for a number of strides near the finishing post. HE'S ICONIC (8) - awkwardly away. Contacted from behind in the early stages. Shifted up the track and obligated to check off the heels of SOCIAL VIRTIGO and GRASSCUTTER JOE when rounding the bend, losing balance for several strides. Coursed wide around the bend and when exiting the bend before shifted down the track. Referred to the vet and cleared of injury.

JUST LIKE LUCY (2) - shifted up the track in the early stages, colliding with LOSING DAYS. Galloped on from behind when entering the bend, losing balance for a number of strides. Obligated to check off the heels of EDDIE EVEREST while rounding the bend. Coursed wide while exiting the bend and along the home straight. ADOBE FLAME (4) - began awkwardly and slow into stride. Coursed wide when exiting the bend and along the home straight. ADOBE BETTY (5) - awkwardly away. Shifted up the track in the early stages. AL'S CASINO (6) - shifted up the track in the early stages and was observed to glance at the boxes and a pile of sand that are sitting on the outer of the track. Coursed wide around the bend and along the home straight. Referred to the vet and was found to have a left side whip muscle injury a 10 day stand down was recommended. On reviewing the film with Trainer L Pearce she commented that the dog is a wide runner and as the film shows the boxes are sitting side on to the track which are a distraction and a pile of sand not normally there. After considering the submissions put forward the Stewards agree that L Pearce has made some valid points and no further action was taken on this occasion. performance noted.
