Injury Trial required:

1) SILENT DISMISSAL (C Turnwald) suffered a reoccurring gracilis muscle tear to the right hind and a 42 day stand down was recommended.
Trainer C Turnwald advised that the greyhound has now been retired.

Brushed DOTTIE BELL while exiting the bend. BIG TIME TEA (2) - began awkwardly. Shifted down the track while approaching the bend and had heels clipped from behind. BOBBY DAZZLER (3) - when questioned about the improved performance of the runner, the trainer informed stewards that the greyhound benefited from a smaller field and a clear run. LOST IN PACE (4) - shifted up the track off the heels of DOTTIE BELL while entering the bend and raced wide thereafter. DEFER FIRE (6) - began awkwardly from the jump and went into the air when coming off the mat. Took a number of strides to gain balance and settled in the rear as a result. Made good ground during the run to the line. Referred to the veterinarian and cleared of injury. DOTTIE BELL (7) - shifted down the track during the run to the bend. Became unbalanced for a stride while rounding the bend, losing ground. Failed to take competitive part in the race thereafter. Referred to the veterinarian and cleared of injury. Stewards spoke to the connections regarding today's run. They reported that the dog has been trialing well recently. They were comfortable with her efforts today over a longer sprint distance, with this greyhound having not raced for 8 months. Comments noted.
Race 2	Big Barrel Palmerston North C3 - C3 - 375	JUST LIKE LUCY (1) - awkwardly away. Jostled with BIG TIME YONKERS for a number of strides along the back straight. Bumped BIG TIME PIKEY and KIOSK during the run to the bend. Jostled with KIOSK while entering and rounding the bend before shifting up the track across his heels and contacting BIG TIME PIKEY. Jostled with BIG TIME PIKEY for a number of strides while exiting the bend. Checked off the heels of BIG TIME PIKEY and shifted up the track along the home straight. Referred to the veterinarian and cleared of injury. BIG TIME YONKERS (2) - buffeted between runners in the early stages, losing balance and settling at the rear. Galloped on the hindquarters of KIOSK along the home straight. BIG TIME PIKEY (4) - collided with BIG TIME YONKERS in the early stages, becoming extremely unbalanced and was contacted by BIG TIME CHARM. Bumped by JUST LIKE LUCY during the run to the bend. Jostled with JUST LIKE LUCY for a number of strides while rounding the bend. Referred to the veterinarian and cleared of injury. KIOSK (5) - bumped by JUST LIKE LUCY along the back straight and continued to jostled with her while entering the bend. BIG TIME CHARM (7) - shifted down the track in the early stages, bumping BIG TIME PIKEY.
Race 3	PNGRC Sectional Times @ pngreyhounds.kiwi C3 - C3 - 375	BIG TIME KILTY (1) - placed in restricted space while approaching and entering the bend. BIG TIME GIRLY (2) - shifted up the track in the early stages, bumping BIG TIME RITA. Contacted from behind when entering the bend. Jostled with BIG TIME RITA for a number of strides while rounding the bend, becoming extremely unbalanced. Shifted out across the heels of BIG TIME RITA while exiting the bend and coursed wide along the home straight. Referred to the veterinarian and was found to have pain in the left hind biceps femoris muscle insertion. A 10 day stand down was recommended. BIG TIME RITA (4) - bumped BIG TIME GIRLY in the early stages. Contacted the hindquarters of BIG TIME GIRLY when entering the bend. Jostled with BIG TIME GIRLY while rounding the bend. Had heels contacted when exiting the bend. Referred to the veterinarian and was found to have an open wound lower medial metatarsal left hind requiring stapling. A 10 day stand down was recommended NUTTY NUTS (8) - slow into stride. Coursed wide along the back straight before angling inwards while approaching the bend. Coursed wide when exiting the bend and along the home straight.

BIG TIME PRADA (2) - began awkwardly. Tightened for space when entering the bend and was contacted by BIG TIME KATY. Hindquarters contacted when entering the bend and contacted the inside rail. Obligated to shift out across the heels of BIG TIME KATY while rounding the bend. Bumped ALLEGRO SMOOCH while rounding the bend. Referred to the veterinarian and cleared of injury. ALLEGRO SMOOCH (3) - awkwardly away. Dictated down the track along the back straight and obligated to check off the heels of BIG TIME KATY after being placed in restricted space. Contacted THRILLING MAPLE while entering the bend. Bumped BIG TIME PRADA while rounding the bend. Coursed wide when exiting the bend. SCREAMING VIKING (4) - bumped BIGTIME BRODY in the early stages. Galloped on the heels of ALLEGRO SMOOCH and bumped THREE SHIRT DAY when entering the bend. Placed in restricted space while rounding the bend and galloped on the heels of THREE SHIRT DAY as a result. Unbalanced for a number of strides while exiting the bend. BIGTIME BRODY (5) - began awkwardly. Buffeted between runners in the early stages. Placed in restricted space while rounding the bend. I'M NO PRINCESS (3) - slow into stride. Contacted BRICKMAN while rounding the bend and then checked off the heels of Rhodes Worthy. BIG TIME RYDER (4) - shifted down the track in the early stages. Appeared to cramp his forelimbs when returning from the dais. Referred to the veterinarian and was found to have cramped, but recovered on return to the wash bay with no stand down recommended. GRASSCUTTER JOE (6) - slow away. Galloped on the hindquarters of BRICKMAN while rounding the bend, losing balance for a number of strides. Jostled with BRICKMAN while exiting the bend, losing momentum. BRICKMAN (7) - contacted I'M NO PRINCESS while rounding the bend. Jostled with HIGHVIEW SAMMY around the bend. Had hindquarters galloped on, losing balance and shunting her sideways as a result. Buffeted between runners while exiting the bend. HIGHVIEW SAMMY (8) - jostled with BRICKMAN while rounding the bend and was then shunted sideways by him, becoming very unbalanced. Shifted down the track and jostled with BRICKMAN while exiting the bend. Referred to the veterinarian and cleared of injury.
