Auckland GRC - 12 June 2022

1). Kennel Representative for the J & D Fahey Kennel, Miss K Wylie, has reported that GITAN had returned to their Balcairn kennel lethargic and showing ill effects to the trip north. Miss Wylie further reported that the kennel believed that the amount of travel the bitch had to undertake in the weeks leading into Sunday's assignment had taken it's toll. GITAN will now be freshened prior to resuming its racing programme.

VEGAS CHOPS (7) - raced in restricted room entering the bend losing ground.
Race 3	Virkon*S Disinfectant Stakes - C0 - 457	ISAMBARD (2) - lost momentum when awkwardly positioned to the back of THRILLING NASH entering the bend. DONNING (3) - slow early.
Race 4	Mayhounds Greyhound Rehoming Group Sprint - C2 - 375	BOOT CAMP TIARA (2) - awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend having to check. LAGOON TAUPY (4) - obligated to race in restricted room early stages. Lost ground when positioned on heels entering the bend.
Race 5	Farmlands CopRice Series Final - C1f - 375	BLITZING STAR (5) - hampered entering the bend. BIG TIME STORM (7) - began awkwardly. LET LOVE RULE (8) - slow early.
Race 6	CopRice Working Dog Beef Sprint - C1 - 375	HURRICANE BOB (2) - awkwardly placed to the outside of THRILLING STELLA exiting the bend. GRACE FOOT (7) - shifted down the track on jumping placing GO TINA in restricted room. GO TINA (9/6) - placed in restricted room early stages losing ground. THRILLING STELLA (10/4) - 0 awkwardly placed to the inside of HURRICANE BOB exiting the bend.
Race 7	Farmlands Virkon Stakes - C2/3 - 457	FIRST LIGHT (2) - slow early. OPAWA COREY (5) - slow early. SERBIAN ACE (8) - coursed wide in the run to the finish.
Race 8	Nightrave Greyhound Rehoming Agency Sprint - C1 - 375	FRANK CASTLE (5) - slow early. Placed in restricted room entering the bend losing ground. STEVE'S SHOUT (7) - coursed wide exiting the bend.
Race 9	Affordable Pet Accessories Stakes - C1 - 457	OPAWA RHINO (2) - bounced inwards off the hindquarters of TRIGGERED in the run to the bend. Jostled with this runner approaching the bend. TRIGGERED (3) - hindquarters raced on in the run to the bend. Jostled with this runner approaching the bend.
Race 10	Vetora Cambridge Sprint - C4/5 - 375	OPAWA GOAT (2) - hampered when awkwardly positioned to the inside of ZIPPING DEREK entering the bend. CALF KING (4) - contact with PORTLAND TIMMY on jumping. PORTLAND TIMMY (5) - contact with CALF KING on jumping. Heels clipped exiting the bend. ROMANTIC DANCER (7) - lost momentum when awkwardly positioned between runners entering the bend. ZIPPING DEREK (8) - turned outwards when racing to the outside of OPAWA GOAT entering the bend. MARRAY PRINCE (9/1) - shifted off heels entering the bend. Clipped the heels of PORTLAND TIMMY exiting the bend.
Race 11	Garrards Horse & Hound Sprint - C2/3 - 375	KEA VIKING (3) - shouldered briefly with MARCUS on jumping. MARCUS (4) - shouldered briefly with KEA VIKING on jumping. before having hindquarters raced on by YOU'RE A REBEL. Faltered and lost ground with the field rapidly rounding the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have sustained a torn right triceps muscle with a 28 day incapacitation issued. YOU'RE A REBEL (6) - forced down onto the hindquarters of MARCUS early stages. Jostled with HOMEBUSH LUTHER approaching the bend. Clipped the heels of SPRING CESC entering the bend. HOMEBUSH LUTHER (7) - jostled with YOU'RE A REBEL approaching the bend. SPRING CESC (9/2) - heels clipped entering the bend.
Race 12	Mike Stent Decorators Ltd Stakes - C4/5 - 457	PORTIA (3) - crowded entering the bend. TUFF ADMIRAL (5) - shifted up the track early stages colliding with OPAWA LUCY. ZIPPING HEWITT (6) - coursed wide in the run to the finish. OPAWA LUCY (7) - contacted from the inside early stages.
