Continued to move up the track bumping KAPAI WINSTON nearing the home straight. BUCKLAND RIG (4) - began awkwardly, then squeezed runners to his outside. Switched off heels entering the home straight, racing wide thereafter. RED CONQUEST (5) - began awkwardly, then squeezed between runners. Buffeted nearing the bend. Contacted entering the bend losing ground. KAPAI WINSTON (6) - squeezed between runners at the start. Buffeted RED CONQUEST nearing the bend. Coursed wide entering the bend. Bumped nearing the home straight. HILLBILLY HEIST (7) - began awkwardly, then squeezed runners to his inside. BIG TIME MINDY (8) - went up with the lids and settled at the rear of the field.
Race 2	Farmlands CopRice PBD Sprint - C1 - 375	DOUBLE HEADER (1) - awkwardly placed to the inside of runners entering the bend losing some momentum as a result. SASSY LASSIE (2) - slow away. Tightened entering the bend needing to switch across heels to gain clear racing room, losing ground in the process. LAGOON TAUPY (3) - bumped entering the home straight. RAMBLIN' KANE (4) - bumped LAGOON TAUPY entering the home straight when crossing to the lead. BUTTERFLY CHILD (6) - slow away. Tightened SASSY LASSIE entering the bend. GO TINA (7) - raced wide through the bend and home straight.
Race 3	Happy Birthday Ron O'Regan (PBD) Sprint - C1 - 375	LAGOON GRETA (1) - bumped shortly after the start. Tightened entering the bend losing some ground. Coursed wide entering the home straight. FRANK CASTLE (2) - slow away. Raced wide through the early stages of the home straight. KETTLE POT (3) - bumped LAGOON GRETA shortly after the start. Tightened LAGOON GRETA entering the bend. HURRICANE BOB (4) - tightened entering the bend, heavily contacting IN THE CLINCH from behind and losing ground as a result. Referred to the OTV and cleared of injury. IN THE CLINCH (5) - tightened entering the bend, in turn tightened HURRICANE BOB entering the bend, then heavily contacted from behind and dragged down. Out of contention thereafter. Race 4	Affordable Pet Accessories Stakes - C2/3 - 457	HIGHVIEW SAMMY (1) - moved up the track shortly after the start, bumping JAM PACKED nearing the bend then raced wide for the majority of the event. Bumped entering the home straight. RAMBLIN' ANDRE (2) - jostled, briefly, with LET LOVE RULE nearing the bend. Slight contact from behind entering the bend. OPAWA RHINO (3) - dictated inwards shortly after the start. Tightened entering the bend losing some ground. Contacted entering the home straight. SERBIAN ACE (4) - tightened shortly after the start losing ground and dictating OPAWA RHINO inwards. Moved up the track to race wide through the back straight. Moved up the track entering the home straight inconveniencing LET LOVE RULE. SHAYANNA (5) - tightened SERBIAN ACE shortly after the start, then bumped. Buffeted nearing the winning post. BLACK TEA (1) - moved up the track through the back straight dictating the running line of OPAWA LUCY. SOLDIER BLUE (2) - began awkwardly. Awkwardly placed on heels on the point of the first bend, becoming unbalanced, checking BIG TIME JOY. Raced wide through the back straight. OPAWA LUCY (4) - had running line dictated through the back straight and obliged to race wide as a result. BIG TIME JOY (5) - began awkwardly. Checked on the point of the first bend, losing ground and out of contention thereafter. Referred to the OTV and cleared of injury.
Race 7	Happy Birthday Peter Heterick - C1 - 375	There was a short delay to the start of this event due to the delayed start at Riccarton Park. HARDCORE BRUTE (1) - bumped entering the bend. Raced in restricted room through the bend losing momentum. BIG TIME CRUSADE (2) - awkwardly placed behind runners losing some ground. SABALAN (3) - began awkwardly squeezing BLAZING IMPACT. BLAZING IMPACT (4) - squeezed between runners at the start, losing ground and out of contention thereafter. GRACE FOOT (5) - dictated inwards at the start, squeezing BLAZING IMPACT as a result. SMOKIN' CHIMNEY (6) - angled across the field at the start dictating GRACE FOOT inwards. Bumped HARDCORE BRUTE entering the bend. Raced in tight quarters with OPAWA TRUMP through the bend. OPAWA TRUMP (7) - raced in tight quarters with SMOKIN' CHIMNEY through the bend.

Race 9	Vetora Cambridge Sprint - C4/5 - 375	THRILLING VIOLET (1) - contacted from behind entering the bend, then again nearing the home straight, in turn contacting HINT OF MINT from behind. PORTLAND JAKE (2) - contacted THRILLING VIOLET from behind entering the bend, becoming unbalanced and contacting CALF KING. Contacted THRILLING VIOLET nearing the home straight. Attempted to move up the track entering the home straight bumping HINT OF MINT, then raced wide for the remainder. ZIPPING SAINT (3) - became unbalanced when tightened nearing the home straight as MIDNIGHT FAITH attempted to move to the rail and OPAWA BOYS PAID improved to her inside, losing momentum as a result. MIDNIGHT FAITH (4) - tightened ZIPPING SAINT nearing the home straight, then bumped OPAWA BOYS PAID entering the home straight. CALF KING (5) - contacted and unbalanced entering the bend.
