Race 3	kiwikiwihounds.co.nz Adoption Sprint - C3 - 295	BRYLEIGH BEE (1) - obligated to race on the hindquarters of MITCHAM KING through the initial stages. Coursed wide exiting the bend. MITCHAM KING (2) - hindquarters raced on in the initial stages. AMURI LUCK (5) - coursed wide exiting the bend. MINTER RISE (7) - began awkwardly shifting up the track.
Race 4	Suck It Up Ltd Sprint - C4 - 295	ALHAMBRA (1) - crowded and obligated to check off heels approaching the bend losing momentum as a consequence. Placed in restricted room prior to exiting the bend losing further momentum. ONESIE (4) - slow early before bumping with GOLDSTAR CHARM. GOLDSTAR CHARM (5) - slow early before bumping with ONESIE. Checked off heels rounding the bend.
Race 5	Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C3 - 295	CULVIE BUN (1) - heels clipped entering the bend. HOMEBUSH STASSER (2) - hampered approaching the bend when being crowded by MONEY BAGS. MONEY BAGS (3) - awkwardly placed to the outside of HOMEBUSH STASSER approaching the bend when crowding this runner. IMPRESSIVE SONIC (5) - shouldered briefly with SIMPLY MISTAKE in the run to the bend. Lost ground when placed in restricted room entering the bend. SIMPLE MISTAKE (6) - shouldered briefly with IMPRESSIVE SONIC in the run to the bend. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend having to check before being dragged down by HOMEBUSH PEACH. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. HOMEBUSH PEACH (8) - climbed on the heels of SIMPLE MISTAKE entering the bend losing ground. Turned outwards by this runner exiting the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury.
Race 6	Garrard's Horse And Hound Dash - C5 - 295	ROSE THORN (3) - obligated to check outwards and then inwards off heels rounding the bend. MUSTANG MEGAN (5) - checked entering the bend losing ground. GOLDSTAR PORTIA (6) - checked inwards off heels early stages. LUCAS JEWEL (7) - awkwardly positioned on the heels of MUSTANG MEGAN entering the bend losing ground. THEROUX (8) - boxed first. Checked entering the bend when awkwardly placed to the outside of MUSTANG MEGAN. AMURI ROCK (9/1) - boxed first. Placed in tight quarters entering the bend being obligated to check and lose ground causing ROSE THORN to check off its heels.
Race 7	2022 Ashburton Cup - C5 - 520	IT'S A BABE (4) - coursed wide back straight and final straights. OPAWA GINA (5) - contacted from the outside by OBERON BALE early stages before checking inwards off the heels of IT'S A BABE. Crowded and lost momentum entering the first bend. Lost ground with the field gradually thereafter. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have be lame in its right hip support. A subsequent examination when the greyhound had cooled down revealed it to be non weight bearing on its right hind consistent with a torn hip support as well as a sprained right hock with a 28 day incapacitation issued. GOLDSTAR YANKEE (6) - came up with the lid and was slow to jump. GOLDSTAR GIGI (7) - lost its footing on jumping before having to check outwards off the heels of OBERON BALE. OBERON BALE (8) - shifted down the track early stages hampering GOLDSTAR GIGI before making contact with OPAWA GINA. Checked entering the first bend when crowding OPAWA GINA.
Race 8	Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint - C5 - 295	GOLDSTAR CLOVER (1) - awkwardly placed on heels prior to exiting the bend when looking for racing room. MITCHAM MAGIC (2) - raced in restricted room rounding the bend. YOUNG ROMEO (4) - inconvenienced exiting the bend. ROMEO (5) - boxed first. Checked from behind prior to exiting the bend. PENNY JANE (6) - shifted up the track and across heels in the run to the bend. Lost ground with the field upon entering the bend continuing to do so thereafter. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have slight pain in its right hip support with a 7 day incapacitation issued. SMASH READY (8) - slow early. Checked outwards off heels prior to exiting the bend causing an inconvenience to YOUNG ROMEO.
Race 9	2022 Selwyn-Rakaia Vet Services Canterbury Laurels - R/Af - 520	OPAWA CHRISSY (3) - lost momentum when awkwardly positioned between runners entering the first bend. GRANDE VUE ACE (4) - slow early contacting OPAWA DUCHESS. OPAWA DUCHESS (5) - contacted from the inside on jumping. SUGAR TIME (7) - slow early. Coursed wide first bend. Weakened final straight. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Stewards questioned trainer G Cleeve regarding the disappointing performance of this bitch. Mr Cleeve explained the bitch was having its first start back over middle distance for several months and was competing against stronger opposition that it had previously encountered. He further added that the time the race was won in was considerably faster than the bitch had gone before.
Race 10	2022 Kolorful Kanvas Garden City Classic - R/Af - 520	MELVILLE BALE (2) - shifted up the track through the initial stages forcing REPLICA RULER out onto HELSINKI which in turn obligated REPLICA REBEL and GOLDSTAR CARLITO in race in restricted room. REPLICA RULER (3) - forced up the track onto HELSINKI in the initial stages obligating REPLICA REBEL and GOLDSTAR CARLITO in race in restricted room. REPLICA REBEL (4) - raced in restricted room early stages. GOLDSTAR CARLITO (5) - raced in restricted room early stages. HELSINKI (6) - contacted from the inside by REPLICA RULER in the initial stages.
Race 11	Racing Again Friday 29 July Sprint - C5 - 295	PITCH MARK (2) - jostled briefly with IT'S BETTER in the run to the bend. Turned outwards rounding the bend when crowding BARBARA'S ANGEL. IT'S BETTER (3) - jostled with RIGHT ON RAMSEY and then briefly with PITCH MARK in the early stages. BARBARA'S ANGEL (4) - slow early. Raced in restricted room rounding the bend turning PITCH MARK outwards as a consequence. RIGHT ON RAMSAY (5) - raced in restricted room early stages losing ground. SADIKI BALE (6) - shouldered briefly with GOLDSTAR LARSON early stages before jostling with RIGHT ON RAMSEY. Hindquarters raced on entering the bend. GOLDSTAR LARSON (7) - shouldered briefly with SADIKI BALE early stages. Raced in tight quarters entering the bend losing ground after contacting the hindquarters of SADIKI BALE. BARBER CUBED (8) - awkwardly placed to the outside of GOLDSTAR LARSON entering the bend.
Race 12	Rose & Thistle Sprint - C4 - 295	SAM AND SI (1) - crowded entering the bend. FAIRLY ABLE (3) - crowded and obliged to race on the hindquarters of CAWBOURNE CARTY early stages. CAWBOURNE CARTY (4) - hindquarters raced on when crowding FAIRLY ABLE early stages. LITTLE NOSEY (5) - crowded early stages having to check outwards of heels. HOMEBUSH CHLOE (6) - shifted down the track abruptly early stages placing pressure on LITTLE NOSEY. EL PADRINO (7) - considerably slow to jump.
