General:

1) Selected greyhounds competing in solo training trials were required to provide a sample of urine for the purpose of out of competition testing.

Race 1	Greyhounds Make Great Pets Distance 660m C0 - C0d - 660	HOT TRUFFLE (4) - referred to the Veterinarian after being tightened entering the final bend, appearing to contact the rail, becoming unbalanced and bumping runner to its outside and cleared of injury.
Race 2	Paul Claridge Electrical C1/C2 Distance 660m - C1/2d - 660	DROUGHT (2) - referred to the Veterinarian after an incident at the lure and cleared of injury. BLACK TEA (8) - contacted runner to its outside nearing the final bend, then faltered shortly after entering the home straight. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a fractured left hock. The Greyhound was transported immediately to GRNZ's contracted Veterinary Clinic for treatment with this being followed up in the coming days. A 90 incapacitation has been issued and the Greyhound must trial prior to racing again.
Race 3	Rubbish & Junk Removals C0 457m - C0 - 457	Stewards and track staff inspected the area of track shortly after entering the home straight after BLACK TEA (race 2) faltered sustaining a fractured left hock and found it satisfactory to continue racing. Going stick readings were also carried out in the area of concern which showed that part of the track to be rated as a Good 4.

Race 5	Professional Concrete Services Ltd C1 375m - C1 - 375	ROWDY RUDY (3) - referred to the Veterinarian after being tightened entering the bend, losing ground ahd hampering trailing runner and cleared of injury. ARROW (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after receiving contact shortly after the start then hampered entering the bend, losing ground as a result and cleared of injury.
Race 6	Nightrave Greyhounds Adoptions C5 375m - C5 - 375
Race 7	Red Snapper Seafoods, Christchurch PBD C1/C2 - C1/2 - 375	RODNEY TROTTER (3) - referred to the Veterinarian after being awkward off the mats, then tightened entering the bend losing ground where it was reported to have pain over left whip muscle with a 14 incapacitation issued. Trainer reported the Greyhound to be lame the following day, xrays confirmed a fractured right hock, with the incapacitaion period uplifted to 90 days. LIBERTY TAKER (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after beginning awkwardly, then appearing awkward in her action nearing the bend, losing ground where it was reported to have torn left gracilis muscle and pain in left pectoral muscles with a 60 day incapacitation issued. Greyhound must trial prior to racing next.
Race 8	TAB Racing Mega Multi Buster C4/5 457m - C4/5 - 457	BIG TIME BERNIE (3) - referred to the Veterinarian after becoming awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend, then checked losing ground and cleared of injury. BIG TIME DONCIC (9/4) - referred to the Veterinarian after tightened nearing the bend, losing ground and checking trailing runner and cleared of injury.

Race 10	Moore Law Palmerston North C1/C2 457m - C1/2 - 457	BIG TIME BANG (1) - referred to the Veterinarian after receiving interference shortly after the start, then tightened losing ground nearing the bend where it was reported to have pain on flexion right wrist with a 14 day incapacitation issued. THRILLING BANDIT (3) - referred to the Veterinarian after being tightened appearing to contact the rail, then contacted from behind entering the bend, losing ground as a result and cleared of injury.
Race 11	Whanganui House Washing C4 375m - C4 - 375	GO JOHNNY GO (3) - referred to the Veterinarian after being tightened entering the bend, becoming unbalanced heavily contacting CHATTY MAVIS and cleared of injury. CHATTY MAVIS (8) - referred to the Veterinarian after being heavily contacted entering bend and cleared of injury.
Race 12	Sportz Bar Wanganui C0 410m - C0 - 410	MINT LOTTIE (1) - referred to the Veterinarian after being tightened and appearing to contact the rail entering the bend and cleared of injury.
