Palmerston North GRC - 5 March 2024

1) Carol Morris kennel representative Mr. Wayne Morris advised Stewards that BIG TIME BANG had x-rays carried out on 7 March which showed a bone chip in the right side carpus with the stand down issued following this race being increased to 90 days. Mr. Morris was advised that BIG TIME BANG would be required to complete an injury trial prior to racing again.

BIG TIME EPIC (7) - referred to the Veterinarian after receiving contact entering the first bend, becoming unbalanced heavily contacting LONG NON WHITE to her outside and cleared of injury. LONG NON WHITE (8) - referred to the Veterinarian after receiving heavy contact entering the first bend, stumbling, losing ground as a result and cleared of injury.
Race 5	Presidents Dash C4/5 305m - C4/5 - 305	BIG TIME MEGHAN (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after being hampered entering the bend, then contacting BIG TIME CHIPPER to her outside and cleared of injury. BIG TIME CHIPPER (7) - referred to the Veterinarian after being contacted and shunted sideways entering the bend, the contacted again shortly after and cleared of injury.
Race 6	Moore Law Wanganui C1 305m - C1 - 305	FRENCH LIAISON (4) - referred to the Veterinarian after coming together with OPAWA HELMET entering the bend, contacted by trailing runner, then being shunted sideways, losing ground as a result where it was reported to have pain over both whip muscles with a 10 day incapacitation issued. OPAWA HELMET (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after beginning awkwardly, then coming together with FRENCH LIAISON entering the bend, becoming unbalanced, contacting outside runner where it was reported to have a cut beside the pad of her third toe on her left fore with a 7 day incapacitation issued.
