Late scratching:

1). WAERENGA JOSAY (J Udy & D Cottam) - race 10

Injury trials required:

1). THRILLING WATSON (S Codlin) - torn left gracilis muscle while completing a solo training trial with a 60 day stand down imposed. Trainer Mr S Codlin advised THRILLING WATSON will now be retired from racing.

2). BIG TIME FOXY (R & N O'Regan) - race 4

3). DUBLIN EXPRESS (J Udy & D Cottam) - race 7

General:

1). Selected greyhounds competing in solo training trials were required to provide a sample of urine for the purpose of out of competition testing.

2). Race 5 was declared a no race due to a mechanical failure with the 375m boxes.

3). This meeting was put back one race start time following race 6 to allow time to position the transportable boxes alongside the 375m boxes and test the equipment. The remaining 375m races were hand started from the transportable boxes and recorded as hand timed.

Race 1	Welcome to Cambridge Raceway PBD Sprint - C0 - 375	RUSTIC KIWI (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after falling at the lure and cleared of injury. FLYING MOA (8) - referred to the Veterinarian after interference first turn then giving ground where it was reported to have left shin soreness, right long head triceps and right biceps femoris pain with a 10 day incapacitation issued.
Race 2	Clubhouse Cambridge Distance - C1/2d - 650	A false start was declared when the boxes failed to activate. All runners were removed from the boxes and underwent veterinary examinations and cleared to start. The boxes were tested to satisfaction but this event was hand started as a precaution. OPAWA WINE (4) - referred to the Veterinarian after interference on several occasions final bend and in the final straight losing ground where it was reported to have a laceration on the right hind with a 21 day incapacitation issued. BIG TIME SPECIAL (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after interference in the final straight becoming unbalanced losing ground where it was reported to have right pectoral pain with a 10 day incapacitation issued.
Race 3	Mayhounds Greyhound Rehoming Group Stakes - C0 - 457
Race 4	MPS Fencing Sprint - C1 - 375	The track was inspected following this event with no area of concern noted. BIG TIME FOXY (3) - faltered free of interference rounding the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have fractured the right hock. The Greyhound will be transported to GRNZ's contracted Veterinary Clinic for treatment with this being followed up in the coming days. A 90 day incapacitation has been issued and the Greyhound must trial prior to racing again.
Race 5	Nightrave Rehoming Agency for Greyhounds Sprint - C2 - 375	This race was declared a no race when the boxes were slow to open and opened unevenly. It was established the piston housing on the inside of the boxes had broken. These boxes were unable to be fixed with the remaining 375m races started from the transportable boxes. On reviewing the footage it was noted the piston was out of position prior to this race being started with the starter G Sharpe shown the films and reminded to ensure the boxes are correctly closed. CUMBRIA (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after falling at the lure and cleared of injury.
Race 6	Pump & Engineering Services Ltd Stakes - C3/4 - 457
Race 7	Greyhounds Make Great Pets Sprint - C1 - 375	This race was hand started from the transportable boxes and recorded as hand timed. DUBLIN EXPRESS (4) - referred to the Veterinarian after faltering rounding the bend giving ground where it was reported to have torn the right gracilis with a 60 day incapacitation issued. Must trial prior to resuming.
Race 8	Garrards Horse & Hound Sprint - C3/4 - 375	This race was hand started from the transportable boxes and recorded as hand timed.
Race 9	Trackside Stakes - C1/2 - 457	No back straight head on footage was available for this event.
Race 10	SENZ 1476am Sprint - C3 - 375	WAERENGA JOSAY (2) was a late scratching at kenneling for a right toe injury. This race was hand started from the transportable boxes and recorded as hand timed. THRILLING MAISEY (4) - referred to the Veterinarian after interference first turn losing ground and cleared of injury. ** Updated, The on course veterinarian Dr J Hessell contacted stewards following the meeting to advise that THRILLING MAISEY was given a 10 day stand down for left shin soreness.
Race 11	Hewlett Electrical Sprint - C5 - 375	This race was hand started from the transportable boxes and recorded as hand timed.
Race 12	Mt Wellington TAB Stakes - C5 - 457	SWEET POTENTIAL (2) - referred to the Veterinarian after falling at the lure and cleared of injury.
