Palmerston North GRC - 16 April 2024

1) Stewards followed up with the connections of BIG TIME PURE (race 4) who advised the Greyhound had X-rays carried out on 17 April 2024 which confirmed there was no fracture, however there was soft tissue injury around the joint with the stand down being amended to 90 days. The Greyhound is to complete an injury trial prior to racing again.

Stand Downs:

1) NALAYA BALE (R Murray) - for 28 days for marring in race 10 and to complete a satisfactory trial (first offence).

Late Scratching's:

1) BIG TIME THAD (L Cole) - race 6.

Box Trials Completed:

Race 4	Presidents Dash C1 305m - C1 - 305	ROWDY ALL DAY (3) - referred to the Veterinarian after attempting to move up the track, contacting outside runner, then tightened entering the bend, losing ground, where it was reported to have pain on flexion right carpus with a 10 day incapacitation issued.

BIG TIME NANDO (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after appearing to contact the rail entering the first bend, then again entering the final bend, losing ground and cleared of injury.
Race 7	Jolt Coffee House Wanganui Class 1 305m - C1 - 305	BIG TIME WAFFLE (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after contacting inside runner shortly after the start becoming unbalanced, losing ground and cleared of injury.

Race 9	May Hounds Rehoming C5 520m - C5 - 520	SHE'S PRETTY (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after receiving heavy contact nearing the winning post on the first occasion, becoming unbalanced, losing ground as a result and cleared of injury.

Underwent a post race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormality. BEAR O'CLOCK (7) - referred to the Veterinarian after being marred on several occasions through the bend and entering the home straight and cleared of injury.

Race 12	Book Your Function @ Hatrick C3/4 305m - C3/4 - 305	THREE SHIRT DAY (3) - referred to the Veterinarian after being hampered entering the bend, unbalanced and heavily contacted outside runner and cleared of injury. BIG TIME MORANT (4) - referred to the Veterinarian after being heavily contacted and shunted sideways entering the bend, where it was reported to have mild soreness left gracilis with a 5 day incapacitation issued.
