Supplementary Report - Christchurch GRC 2 May 2024:

1). TIGGERLONG PANDA (D Roberts) was represented to the Veterinary Surgeon this morning and found to have a fractured right hock. The dog was x-rayed this morning with the fracture confirmed and was transferred to the Rangiora RTR Centre. The dog was stood down for 90 days and must complete a Satisfactory Trial prior to resuming.

General:

1). This meeting was abandoned after Race 10 due to the deterioration of track conditions on the bend leaving the home straight.

Race 3	Bolty @ Stud Stakes - C0 - 520	OPAWA LOUIE (R Wales) was a late scratching at kenneling when outside the allowable weight variance. COOLING MY JETS (4) - referred to the Veterinarian after being checked into the first bend and cleared of injury. OPAWA QUINN (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after being checked then forced wide into the first bend and cleared of injury.
Race 4	kiwikiwihounds.co.nz Adoption Dash - C0 - 295	HOMEBUSH HEAVEN (1) - referred to the Veterinarian after dropping to the rear when badly tightened into the bend and reported to have right whip muscle and soreness with a 21 day incapacitation issued. An x-ray is also required to ensure no hock fracture is shown.

Race 6	mayhounds.org.nz Rehoming Group Dash - C2 - 295	BARBARA'S ANGEL (J McInerney Jnr) was a late scratching on retrieval from the kennels with right hock soreness.

Race 9	Dyna Dave @ Stud Stakes - C2 - 520	DIAMOND LEAHA (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after dropping to the rear when faltered free of interference into the bend and reported to have a fractured right hock with a 90 day incapacitation issued. The dog was immediately transferred to the Rangiora RTR centre with X-rays to be performed in the coming days. Stewards will follow up with these results in the coming days. Must complete a Satisfactory Trial prior to resuming.
Race 10	Perera Rehoming Kennels Sprint - C2 - 295	HOMEBUSH WILDER (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after faltering free of interference into the bend into the home straight and reported to have a fractured right wrist with a 42 day incapacitation issued. X-rays will be undertaken in the coming days with Stewards following up on these results. Must complete a Satisfactory Trial prior to resuming.
