General:

The Stewards discussed with the lure driver, Mr M Gallagher, the method in which the lure was pulled up for the greyhounds following races 2 and again following race 15. Upon considering the explanation provided, the Stewards directed the Club to make available another lure driver until such time as Stewards determine otherwise. In taking this course of action Stewards where mindful of the advice given to Mr Gallagher on the 22nd August 2024 in that they expected an improved manner in the way he pulled the lure up in future.

Christchurch GRC - 19 August 2024

1). Stewards followed up with Canterbury RTR Manager and was confirmed that DIAMOND MARIO (M Grant) had a central tarsal fracture and underwent surgery.

Christchurch GRC - 23 August 2024

2). Stewards followed up on OPAWA SEAN (R Wales) with the Greyhound awaiting surgery tomorrow for his fractured Radius/Ulna.

BIG TIME LOCH (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after sustaining tightening between runners home turn forced outwards losing ground where it was reported to have sustained a torn left gracillis with a 42 day incapacitation issued.
