1). Trainer L Waretini reported to Stewards that x-rays taken from WHAT'S ON confirmed no fracture was present with the greyhound free to resume once its incapacitation period expires.

General:

1). All runners engaged in this meeting that were travelling from the North Island were withdrawn due to transportation difficulties.

Race 12	2024 Suck It Up Canterbury Futurity Sprint Heat 4 - SPECAq - 295 Heat 4	Stewards withheld the payment of dividends until such time they were satisfied the outcome of the event had not been affected by the short lure variance over the concluding stages of the event. The leading runner got to the lure shortly after the event becoming unbalanced. When questioned, lure driver Mr M Gallagher stated he had made an error by allowing the lure to decrease speed, stating he was of the opinion the wind may have affected it and that he should have increased the power. Mr M Gallagher was reminded of his obligations to ensure the lure is kept within the required variance and operated in a safe manner. This will continue to be monitored. WILD PANSY (8) - referred to the Veterinarian after becoming unbalanced due to the lure speed variance shortly after the finish and cleared of injury.
