General:

1). Trainers J. Johnson and M. Grant requested to withdraw their runners from today’s meeting due to personal reasons. After considering the applications, the stewards found the reasons to be reasonable and authorised the withdrawals free of penalty.

2). Due to the Starter having to leave the course for personal reasons following race 5, Stipendiary Steward V Munro was appointed as the Starter for the remaining races, in line with GRNZ rule 19.3(j).

Late Scratching's:

1). HOMEBUSH DIVA (J McInerney Jnr) - Race 9.

Race 7	Otago Greyhound Racing Club - C3 - 390	MITCHAM XENA (8) - referred to the Veterinarian as a precaution and cleared of injury. DOM BAXTER (9/4) - referred to the Veterinarian after losing ground due to a slight check and cleared of injury.
Race 8	Oreti Beach Run - C1 - 457	HURUNUI MOUSE (2) - referred to the Veterinarian after continuing to underperform and cleared of injury. A Warning was placed on it's record. HOMEBUSH LEANA (6) - referred to the Veterinairan after giving ground over the concluding stages and cleared of injury. A last chance to race competitively was placed on its record.
Race 9	Happy Birthday Keith Rance - C4/5 - 390	HOMEBUSH DIVA(6) - was a late scratching after presenting outside the allowable weight variance. MAYFIELD CARBON (7) - referred to the Veterinarian after becoming awkward in its gait rounding the bend losing ground with the field where it was reported to have pain on palpation to its left pectineus muscle with a 10-day incapacitation issued.

Race 12	Racing Again 16 October - C2 - 390	PINKY (4) - muzzle became detached from the greyhound's nose in the boxes with it subsequently racing with it around its neck.
