Race 4 | PLACEMAKERS SEAVIEW - C1/2 - 525 | SCOTTALOT ran in from the start and checked UPAHUT ROSE and DISCLOSE who lost ground. PUZZLING KNIGHT and DISCLOSE were badly checked on the first corner and they lost several lengths and finished at the rear. |
Race 5 | WORLD FIRST SMOKER - C1/2 - 525 | ROSINA REASON was scratched due to a toe ligament injury. This event was started late at the request of the T.A.B. The lure momentarily slowed in the back straight and the field caught it before the lure moved away again. The race was abandoned as a No Race and the lure was checked thoroughly before the next event. Race 6 | DISTANCE FEATURE HEAT 2 - C1d - 758 | UNIQUE MAGGIE was scratched due to a seasonal complaint. BALLYRUE ZING was scratched under the distance from track Rule 254. GAZZA'S DELIGHT was the slowest away and was then pushed wide on the first bend and finished at the rear. Race 7 | PRICE BUSTERS $2 SHOP - C4/5 - 295 | MCKENZIE LEIGH and LADY TIANNE were both checked on the first corner and lost several lengths. They recovered to make ground with LADY TIANNE finishing 3rd and MCKENZIE LEIGH close behind in 6th place. |
Race 8 | EL CHEAPO CARS - C3 - 525 | SHAR NAZIR was scratched due to a leg injury. LOVE THE HABIT, BOSSY ACE and DELTA SKELTER collided and lost ground starting on the bend. MEET THE PARENTS was checked and almost fell soon after, went back to last and stayed there. SHAR NAZIR B & L Craik Rule 259 Has a leg injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 22.01.05. |
Race 9 | WWW.LOCATIONCATERING.CO.NZ - C4 - 295 | MISS BLUE VELVET came out of the boxes very awkwardly and settled in last place. The favourite FLAMING PEARL was forced to race very wide from box 7 , covered extra ground as a result and finished well back. |
Race 10 | HUTT PARK TOP 10 HOLIDAY PARK - C2 - 295 | The hot favourite WINSOME TIGER was slow away and was last to settle. He then received a clear run through to finish in 2nd place. WAG was handy in the race to the first corner but was checked starting on the bend, went back to the rear and finished in last place. |
Race 11 | HUTT PARK TOP 10 HOLIDAY PARK - C2 - 295 | One of the favourites OCTOBER PLACARD was slow away and then ran wide covering extra ground. PEEL RIDGE SUE ran out on the first bend and collided with MISTER FORBES, dropped back to the rear and finished last. |
