Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C1/2 - 305	HORSE POWER was slow to begin losing three lengths but he recovered to finish well for 3rd placing. YALDHURST FLYER , HOMEBUSH KALAMA and ASTRO DAVE were all checked on the first corner losing several lengths and they stayed back to finish in the last three places.
Race 2	Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C1/2 - 305	MINDARIVA moved in racing to the first corner and caused checks to MYSTERY KIM, ALECIA RELTUB, EVE HILL and YA GUNNA with the last mentioned runner being the most affected and she lost four lengths and finished in last place.
Race 3	Wanganui Farm Supplies - C2/3 - 520	One of the better supported runners REALON RAZZLE was checked soon after the start and dropped back to the rear and he stayed back throughout and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 4	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd - C3 - 305	PENIE'S FROM checked off the heels of FIVE KAY KAT on the bend and then ran wide losing ground and she finished in last place.
Race 5	Harrisons Hire Master - C3 - 305	All clear.
Race 6	Keenan Concrete, Wanganui 6 Pack - SPECA - 520	PRETTY SECRET and ELLABILLE ANGEL were checked and lost ground on the first corner and they stayed at the rear for the remainder of the race . The 3rd placed dog SHE ROCKS appeared a little sore after the race and was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury but the Vet was of the opinion that the dog may have suffered mild cramp and mild thumps was also detected.
Race 7	Vita Power - C5 - 305	MISS BRUGGE made contact with the rail on the first turn and lost a little ground. She was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. FOUR TO MIDNIGHT was handy to the first corner but was checked losing several lengths and she went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 8	Mickeys Super Liquor - C4/5 - 520	ASK THE BANDIT was checked on the first corner and he settled in the rear group and stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 9	Bilderbeck Construction - C5 - 305	NATASHA'S DUFFER, MARCO'S PAL and OPAWA MEGASTAR jostled together for several strides in the run to the first corner and all three lost ground with NATASHA'S DUFFER being the most affected and she went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 10	Broad Roofing Services - C3/4 - 305	KILKENNY escaped from Handler J.T.McInerney prior to stirrups but was quickly captured, examined by the Vet and cleared to race. It was established that the incident was accidental and no action by the Stewards was required. KILKENNY, WHATA BOWLA and BILLY WHIZ jostled together for several strides in the back straight and KILKENNY was the most affected but he did recover to make up some ground for 4th place.
