Stipendiary Stewards Report
Wanganui Greyhound Racing Club
Hatrick Raceway ON FRIDAY 03 Sep 2010
Weather: ShoweryTrack: Good The box lids failed to open in race one and the runners were removed while the lure was run to check the automatic opening which worked as normal. However, the remaining sprint races were manually started as it was found that adjustments which had been made to the lid catches the previous day needed further adjustment. This problem was not evident when the boxes were checked earlier in the day or when trials were conducted with only single dogs being despatched but occurred when a full field of excited dogs pushed on the lids in anticipation of them opening and this caused the catches to lock up. This will be rectified before the next meeting.
